Wakesurf Wednesdays – ride the wave, share the moment

This Rally Point runs on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month during the summer. From 6 PM to 9 PM, veterans and families meet at Skiatook Lake for a wakesurfing session hosted by our partners at Freedom Surf and 918 Boats.

The focus is simple: connect with other veterans, enjoy the thrill of wakesurfing, and build memories on the water with people who understand the military journey.

Safety and experience

Safety gear: Life jackets and all needed safety equipment are provided.

Experience level: No prior wake surfing experience is needed. Trained staff and volunteers will coach you through each step.

Veterans with physical disabilities are encouraged to participate. Let us know if you have any limitations or mobility needs. The team will work with you to make safe arrangements.

Participants should share any important medical information or allergies during registration so we can plan well.

Returning participants: Riders who have attended before are welcome back. New riders often have priority when space is tight.

Who: Veterans and their families.

What: Wakesurfing excursion with coaching, safety support, and time on the boat together.

Group size: Each session has a limited number of spots, so registration is needed.

What to bring

• Swimwear suitable for active water time (board shorts, one-piece swimsuit, sport bikini).
• Towel, dry clothes, and personal items.
• Sunscreen, hat, and a water bottle.
• Light jacket or hoodie for the ride back in.

Age and access

Minimum age for participants is 8 years old for wakesurfing. Younger children may be able to ride on the boat when space is available.
