Kayaks & Krayons is a family Rally Point that mixes time on the water with time at the table. Veterans, families, and supporters paddle together while kids draw, color, and play close by.
You can paddle hard, float easy, or sit on the shore and talk. The mission is simple: give families a safe space to be together, outside, around other people who understand the military story.
Why Kayaks & Krayons?
Some conversations are easier while you are moving. Some are easier while the kids are busy. This Rally Point gives both options at once—paddles in the water, crayons on the table, and time set aside for connection.
Whether you are brand new to Eagle OPS or already plugged in, Kayaks & Krayons is a low-pressure way to bring the whole crew out together.
The details
Who: Veterans, service members, families, and patriots. Kids and grandkids are welcome.
What: Casual paddling on flat water plus kid-friendly activities on shore—coloring pages, chalk, simple games, and space for parents to talk.
Where: Partner lakes and rivers in the region. See the Rally Point Briefing and calendar for the next launch site.
When: Seasonal events based on weather and daylight. Dates and times are posted on the briefing and calendar.
What to bring:
- Clothes and shoes that can get wet.
- Life jackets if you have them (gear is often available on site).
- Change of clothes and a towel for kids.
- Sunscreen, hat, and water bottle.
- Favorite crayons or coloring books if your kids have them.
