Bullet Pattern

From Deltarune Wiki

A Bullet Pattern is a type of challenge that occurs in the platforming sections of Chapter 5.

Overview

Each Bullet Pattern encompasses a single screen. The appearance of a Bullet Pattern usually forces its completion before progressing. Aqua's Bullet Pattern appearing on its own as an obstacle in a room in the Cliffs is an exception.

Usually associated with one of the seven flowers, the objective of the Bullet Patterns is to destroy the attacking entity using Kris's attack. The attacking entity usually outputs damaging projectiles, similar to encounters. Using ACTs to reach the position the enemy is also commonplace.

Certain Bullet Patterns run out of energy and dissipate if not destroyed fast enough. Aqua's Bullet Pattern at the end of the Garden expires in 90 seconds,[1] Seth's Bullet Pattern halfway through the Cliffs expires in 200 seconds,[2] and Yellow's Bullet Pattern expires when the gun is on-screen for a total of 180 seconds.[3] Seth expresses surprise at their Bullet Pattern's sudden disappearance.

Main story

The first Bullet Pattern encountered is from Aqua, who leaves it for the party to "play with" in the Garden.

Seth has a glasses-themed Bullet Pattern in the Cliffs. Orange later collaborates with Seth in another version of this attack in Flower Castle, where she ultimately causes the attack's downfall. In the other wing of the castle, Yellow's laser is also a Bullet Pattern.

Three waves of two flowers each attack with Bullet Patterns in Top of Castle.

Yellow's bullet pattern is also found in Flower Castle.
