Instruction screen for Main Performance

Main Performance (JP: オドリテ) is a minigame introduced in Chapter 4 of Deltarune, available on the Nintendo Switch 2. Part of a collection of Mike minigames, it is hosted by Cat Mike in the TV Studio, replacing Pluey on the PC, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch versions.

Gameplay

Main Performance is a matching game. The SOUL is situated at the right side of the screen, surrounded by a two-layered circle, and is given a pair of hands. Each layer of the circle has six segments and are highlighted whenever the hands touch them. The hands are controlled using the Joy-Con 2's mouse controls, and they can be extended by clicking and holding.

Two cat characters, each with their own circles and hands, are situated to the right of the SOUL. During each round, the characters move their hands, one after the other, and the objective of the minigame is to match the characters' hand positions and highlight the given circle segments within a short time frame. 10 points are rewarded for each successful match, and one life is lost for each failed match. The game ends after three lives are lost.

Each round gets progressively faster the longer the player lasts. Eventually, after 300 points are rewarded, the character in the middle disappears, giving the player less time to react to the first character's hand position.

Ranking

Trophies received for Main Performance depend on the player's high score.

Trivia

  • Given the French naming scheme of most of the other Mike minigames, "Main Performance" may be a pun on the French word "main", meaning hand.
