Hi everyone,

Hi everyone,
When KATHY TEMEAN featured 40 Poems for 40 Weeks on her blog, Writing and Illustrating (https://kathytemean.wordpress.com/2025/01/06/book-giveaway-40-poems-for-40-weeks-by-david-l-harrison-and-timothy-v-rasinski/), another excellent blog master, JUDY BRADBURY, saw it and decided to feature the book on Children’s Book Corner. Today the result of her careful work is out at https://www.judybradbury.com/blog/ Go to her site and click on the book cover for a personal interview, my poem from the book, “Monday,” and detailed information about the book.

Judy selects one book each month so I’m especially glad to see this anthology co-edited with TIM RASINSKI be her choice for National Poetry Month. Thank you, Judy! Thanks to the 40 poets whose wonderful poems make the book so special, and thanks to all who decide to buy the book and put it to use, reading at least one poem every week to kids!
Hi everyone,
Thanks again to KATHY TEMEAN, not only for featuring my autobiography yesterday and giving me a truly special day, but for updating my website, which she created in 2009. Here’s the link. https://www.davidlharrison.com/ For anyone seeking information about me, this is a good place to check.

Kathy replaced the cover page picture, added recent titles to the book list, and added a scrolling text across the top of the site. She also got This Life registered on Goodreads so it can get reviewed. THANK YOU, KATHY!
Hi everyone,
I am so pleased that KATHY TEMEAN has featured my autobiography today. The journey of my life as a writer came out in 2020 but this is the first time it has been featured with such insight and sensitivity. I’m honored and greatly in debt to Kathy. Here’s the link. She explains how you can qualify for her drawing to receive a free copy of the book. It’s as easy as leaving a comment. If you already have a copy, winning a new one could make a nice gift. https://kathytemean.wordpress.com/2025/02/25/book-giveaway-this-is-my-life-by-david-l-harrison/ My appreciation to RANDY BACON (https://www.randybacon.com/ ) for shooting the cover portrait.

Hi everyone,
Today is Part One of two parts of KATHY TEMEAN’S feature of my new book with TIM RASINSKI on her famous blog site, Writers & Illustrators. Part Two will be posted tomorrow and feature words from SYLVIA VARDELL’S introduction to the book. Here’s today’s link. https://kathytemean.wordpress.com/2025/01/06/book-giveaway-40-poems-for-40-weeks-by-david-l-harrison-and-timothy-v-rasinski/ You can register to receive a free copy of the book. Find out how.

40 Poems for 40 Weeks was inspired by ANGELA KNIGHT, the librarian at David Harrison Elementary School in Springfield, Missouri. When Dr. Knight told me she reads a poem every week to all the kids at Harrison, I asked Tim Rasinski to join me in creating this book of 40 poems by 40 outstanding poets to make it easy for librarians everywhere to read a poem a week to their own students. Of course teachers, family, and other caring adults are encouraged to put our book to use too. The more the merrier!
