A ripple of hope
Our first water project
We are incredibly proud that our first clean water project is now complete. The community in Gbamusu, Sierra Leone, now have safe drinking water, continuously.
For 220 local people, especially mothers and children, this is life-changing.
The project was completed through our partner charity: water in March 2025 and signed off in October 2025 following testing. This vital new well provides a monumental shift for the community toward better health and opportunity in a region where access to clean water is tragically limited. This proves that choosing sustainable laptops can go beyond sustainability impact and change communities.
Well with a hand pump
The solution we funded
We funded the construction of a well with hand pump - a frequently chosen solution for its cost-effectiveness and easy, community-led maintenance.
These wells are ideal for communities with safe, plentiful groundwater.
The hand pump, which is installed onto a drilled, lined, and quality-tested borehole. This robust design ensures clean groundwater is reliably brought to the surface, offering long-term access to safe water for the Gbamusu community.
So a huge thank you to the loyalty of our customers, who chose our laptops and enabled this activity.
Shared goals
Amplified impact
At Circular Computing, we believe sustainability isn't just about carbon-neutral laptops only rather it's about empowering the people who will build tomorrow's world.
As our CEO Rod Neale said, “Despite its abundance in the West, the planet is going through a water crisis – and all of us must play our part. It is not acceptable that nearly 10% of the world do not have access to clean, safe drinking water.
We not only want to cut the environmental cost of IT production within the sector, but through our partnership with charity: water, deliver a positive impact that extends beyond our industry, helping give families access to clean, safe water”.
