City of Sacramento Parking Information
Metered parking is available on J Street, Mondays thru Sundays from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Parking is free on J Street after 6:00 pm.
Free 2 Hour Parking is available on all numbered streets (22nd, 23rd, etc.), Mondays thru Sundays from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. Please note that you will need to move your car once 2 hours has passed since your arrival.
As of July 1, 2024 the City of Sacramento no longer offers free parking on Sundays.
There is a public parking lot directly across the street from Capital Stage on J Street. Hourly parking fees vary. It is a modest lot and will fill up quickly, so be sure to arrive early.
Season Parking Passes for the lot directly across the street from Capital Stage are available for Subscribers to purchase from the Box Office.

From the Bay Area: Take I-80 East toward Sacramento. In West Sacramento, keep left to take US-50 East (Capital City Fwy/Business Route I-80) toward Sacramento/South Lake Tahoe. When US-50 & Cap City Fwy/Biz 80 split, stay on Capital City Fwy/Biz 80 toward Reno. Take the N Street exit. Turn slight left onto 30th St. Take the 3rd left onto K St. Turn right onto 22nd St. Take the 1st right onto J St. The theater is at 2215 J Street on the left.
From the North: Take I-5 South toward Sacramento. In Sacramento, take the US-50 East exit toward CA-99 / Fresno. Merge onto US-50 East/Capital City Fwy /Business 80 via the exit on the left. When US-50 & Cap City Fwy/Biz 80 split, stay on Capital City Fwy/Biz 80 toward Reno. Take the N Street exit. Turn slight left onto 30th St. Take the 3rd left onto K St. Turn right onto 22nd St. Take the 1st right onto J St. The theater is at 2215 J Street on the left.
From South Lake Tahoe/Placerville/Folsom: Take US-50 West toward Sacramento. Merge onto Capital City Fwy/Business 80 via EXIT 6C toward Reno. Take the N Street exit. Turn slight left onto 30th St. Take the 3rd left onto K St. Turn right onto 22nd St. Take the 1st right onto J St. The theater is at 2215 J Street on the left.
From Reno/Roseville: Take I-80 West toward Sacramento. Merge onto Capital City Fwy/Business 80 West via EXIT 95 toward Sacramento. Take EXIT 7B toward E Street. Stay straight to go onto 29th St. Turn right onto I St. Turn left onto 22nd St. Take the 1st left onto J St. The theater is at 2215 J Street on the left.
