stephaniebcl and I had a very nice weekend, even though both of us got very, very sick. The weekend got off to an early start Thursday, when Nesh invited us to her house for a late poly family Thanksgiving dinner. The food was yummy, and StephanieBCl and I very much enjoyed hanging out with Nesh, her husband, her boyfriend, her girlfriend, her girlfriend’s husband, and her kids.

I started to feel sick after dinner. At first I thought it was something I ate (an allergic reation, not something wrong with Nesh’s food), but when I still was feeling terrible the next day I went to the doctor, who determined that I’d caught a stomach flu. Since I felt so bad I took that day and the next off work, and StephanieBCl took care of me. I couldn’t do much, so we snuggled up as best I could and watched Buffy when I was awake.

By Saturday night I was starting to feel better, and since the doctor said I was no longer contagious, StephanieBCl and I went to the Indy Poly Meetup Holiday Party at lildomino and hotarugirl's. There were a ton of people from out of town there, and I was especially happy to see Behu, who lives in Chicago. I also got to hang out with pandara, who was there with her new lover. I enjoyed myself muchly and had a great time.

By Sunday StephanieBCl had started to get sick, so it was my turn to take care of her. We skipped our plans to go to the circus and spend the night with Lildomino, and instead stayed in and watched more Buffy. I felt bad because I was obviously the one who got StephanieBCl sick, but I was glad at least that I was free to take care of her. Even though we spent the weekend sick, it was good to have quiet much needed-time together.

On this day three years ago, Pandara and I met for coffee at Perkins. We’d met at Poly Meetup, and I’d used the fact that we’re both into roleplaying games as an excuse to get her email address (obstensively so I could add her to my gaming mailing list). We started talking, and on August 21st we met at Perkins for coffee.

I talked about my girlfriends and my poly situation, and in my nervousness I'm sure I blathered quite a bit. I figured by the end of our date I'd completely scared her off, but when I walked her out to her car she gave me a whopper of a first kiss. Even though I thought my live was too full for another girlfriend, our chemistry was undeniable.

Three years later, we're still together. Happy anniversary, Pandara!

This week has been very up and down for me. I started the week really depressed, and although I had a really pleasant game night for my birthday and got to spend time with wonderful friends and lovers my mood has been very fragile most days. However, as the week went on things have slowly gotten better, and today I’m actually feeling pretty good. Depression still lurks in the background, but with luck soon I’ll be making an appointment to looking into fixing the chemical contributors to my unstable mood.

This has been a great week. My birthday weekend was wonderful (besides some drama flare-ups that seem to have been mostly resolved), and since then I have had a pretty quiet week to recover. I’ve had some excellent quality time with my lovers, and even got in some time alone on Thursday. I didn’t get a lot of journaling time, but everything else was fantastic.

Sunday morning LilDomino, HotaruGirl, Pandara and I slept in before venturing out to Perkins for breakfast. We stopped by LilDomino’s to grab something and then headed back to my apartment for a birthday game night. We had a full house for gaming, and played Apples to Apples, Flux, and Killer Bunnies. It was great to see everyone, and it was a fun, chaotic end to my birthday week.

Monday morning LilDomino, HotaruGirl, and I went to get the washer and dryer LilDomino had gotten me a few months ago that until now had been sitting in her garage. When we got the appliances here, Salamander42 and Pandara came over to help, taking my old washer and dryer for their use since my appliances still work pretty well. After work I hung out with IceSpark and enjoyed some quiet time alone with her before we went to bed.

Tuesday I slept ten hours and still woke up tired. After some snuggles with IceSpark, I finally tore myself out of bed and headed to work. After work I headed to LilDomino’s, and we cuddled, hung out, and talked about the weekend. We’d all had some fun times this past weekend, but there was some stress as well, most of which worked out OK.

Wednesday morning LilDomino and I slept almost twelve hours before finally bumbling up towards wakefulness. After work I went to Pandara’s apartment. She’d made me dinner, which was simple but very yummy. After dinner we went back to my apartment, but by that time it was very late and she was very sleepy, so we decided to skip entertainment and just cuddle and talk before sleeping.

Thursday night I had plans with Lima, but her basement flooded and she was exhausted from clean-up so we decided to reschedule for another night. That gave me an evening alone, which was nice because by that point I was severely peopled out. I set up my new washer and dryer (thanks again, LilDomino!) and got some laundry done while I checked my two million birthday messages. Thanks, everyone!

Friday after work I went to IceSpark’s house to MUX and sleep. My MUX night was very productive – I had a great time roleplaying with Spike as first his dad Sparkplug and then his brother Buster, and then on the Joe/Cobra side I wrapped up a plot with Ace and Mara v. The Baroness and Vypra. Both of my characters got their asses kicked in a very entertaining fashion. IceSpark said she’d probably pass out early, but wound up staying up with me until I was ready to go to bed.

Saturday morning IceSpark and I got up and headed down to Evansville for a derby bout. Her league, the Bleeding Heartland Roller Girls, was playing one of Evansville’s leagues, the Rollergirls of Southern Indiana. While IceSpark was getting ready I went out to dinner with HotaruGirl, and then HotaruGirl and I joined IceSpark, Jalyru, and my sister at Swonder Ice Rink for the bout.

The BHRG Flatliners beat the first ROSI squad, but ROSI’s second squad managed to beat Jalyru and IceSpark’s team, the Code Blue Assassins. Nonetheless, it was an entertaining bout, and afterward we all went to an afterparty at Bullock’s and then wound up at Denny’s late into the night. All in all it was an excellent weekend.

Yesterday (May 27th) I first met stephaniebcl back in 2009. She was a derby fan interested in polyamory who first contacted me on OKCupid. We met for dinner at Panera, and when that closed we moved to Steak n Shake to continue our conversation. I found her very interesting right away, and greatly enjoyed talking to her.

This weekend I talked to Cassiopia about the fact that she’s met a guy she likes who is monogamous. I told her if she needed to take a break with me to explore things with him, we could. I don’t want to give Cassiopia up, but I also think since she lives so far away it would be selfish to restrict her chances at a full-time local relationship to keep her available to me the four days a month we get to see each other.

Cassiopia thought it might not be fair to just say, “OK, never mind! Game on!” if things don’t out with New Guy. She’s concerned about treating me unfairly, especially with my recent troubles with Mishiell. However, Cassiopia has been up front with me about her needs and the problems she has with us long-term, and I don’t want her to feel pressure to “choose” him or me. I want her to be able to explore things without additional stress.

I’m trying to think of this in terms of win-win. If things work out with New Guy (or someone else later on), is happy, and I’ll still presumably get to do most everything I do with her now, minus the sex and maybe some of the snuggling, depending on New Guy’s comfort level. If things don’t work out, I’ll still get to date Cassiopia, and maybe she’ll feel less like I’m a restriction on her dating opportunities.

I had a very good weekend with Cassiopia. If this winds up being our last weekend together as a couple, it will be a nice bookend to our first nights together. While there, I tried to focus less on “I might lose Cassiopia” and more on, “If this is my last weekend with her, let me enjoy it fully so I can look back and smile.” If it turns out that Cassiopia and I only get two years together, I will try to be happy I had two years with such a wonderful woman.

Last Sunday was nice and lazy. icespark and I didn’t sleep in that late, considering how late we were up the night before, but we still woke rather refreshed and snuggled in bed watching Cool Devices before rousing ourselves for food. After eating we spent the rest of the day journaling and playing with our laptops before Icespark was felled by a bad headache and had to go to bed.

Monday Icespark and I finally got on the MUX after skipping a week, but the director wasn’t on because she’s moving this week, and sydneygb was self-reportedly only half-there. I did get some fun role-playing in with calyhexinmate and dunmurderin before they had to log off for work, but after that my Internet died, so I just worked on journaling and laundry while Icespark napped.

Tuesday lildomino came over after she escaped work. We went out to eat and swung by her place to pick up clothes before returning to my apartment to hot tub and play on our laptops. LilDomino backed up her hard drive and watched porn while I tried to journal and keep from being distracted. When it got too late we cozied up together and fell asleep.

Wednesday LilDomino had to work late, so I told her she could come by after her second job. I worked on D&D until she arrived, and then we went out for food and shopping. I was too poor to do any shopping myself, so LilDomino was sweet enough to buy me dinner. We were planning to watch something when we got home, but after all the shopping we were too sleepy.

Thursday I got together with mishiell and we went out to Denny’s. She told me she’s moving in with Eldari, which I’m not thrilled about, but wasn’t exactly a surprise. We went back to her place and made a D&D character for my upcoming campaign, and then watched a little of Blade Runner before snuggling up and going to sleep.

Friday after work I stopped by Icespark’s to see her new tattoo, and then drove to Illinois to see cassiopia. Cassiopia and I went out to dinner and then went to see The Day the Earth Stood Still. Although the movie got bad reviews and has many flaws, I was still entertained. Keanu Reeves’s acting style lends itself well to the character of Klaatu.

I spent Saturday with Cassiopia. Her car is dead, so I took her out for food and shopping. When we got back to her house, we cuddled and watched Dexter for the rest of the day. Finally, I headed back to Indianapolis. hotarugirl was coming into town to spend the weekend with LilDomino, and I wanted to get back in time to spend the night with both of them.

Carry the battle to them. Don't let them bring it to you. Put them on the defensive. And don't ever apologize for anything.

• I had a fun afternoon Sunday. I woke up with a sexy naked Jero and Mika in my bed, and after Amsc arrived and got in the shower, Jero went down for a moment to tease me. When she stopped Mika took over, and rather just teasing me, made a serious effort to please me, thrusting her head down on my cock while I tried to be relatively quiet.

• Jero moved up to kiss me while Mika was going down on me, and I enjoyed making out with Jero while Mika sucked my dick. I had a very nice weekend, even though I had to work on Saturday so I didn’t get as much rest, sleep, or time as I would have liked. Friday when I got off work lildomino came over to she and I could drove down to Bloomington to go to a party with Jalyru and my sister. We had to nap before we left since we were both so tired, and on the way to the party we stopped at my mom’s to pick up a dishwasher.

I had fun at J031’s birthday party, even though lildomino and I couldn’t stay late since she had class in the morning and I had to work. We made it back to my apartment alive and slept until I had to go to work and she to class. We were anticipating trouble getting downtown because of a marathon that day, but while lildomino had problems dealing with the marathon fans I got in without incident.

For a Saturday, work wasn’t actually that bad. When I got off work I intended to go straight to St. Louis to see ona_tangent, but I forgot my cell phone hands-free so I had to run home before leaving town. The drive was long but uneventful, and I got into St. Louis around ten PM, calling to tease ona_tangent that I was just leaving.

Saturday night ona_tangent and I kissed, cuddled, and snuggled up on the couch to watch Buffy season five. ona_tangent’s husband scottak had to go to bed earlier than we did, so we turned the sound down and watched two more episodes with the subtitles on since our hearing isn’t the greatest. ona_tangent and I stayed up long enough to finish the first disc, and then joined scottak in sleep.

Sunday morning ona_tangent and scottak let me sleep late, while ona_tangent grabbed a shower and scottak made us breakfast. I got up and ate, and the three of us re-watched the Buffys that scottak missed because he went to bed earlier than ona_tangent and I. We discussed what we wanted to do that day, and decided to go comic shopping before scottak’s date with lil_mischif.

scottak and I grabbed showers and snuggled ona_tangent until scottak had to leave for his date. ona_tangent and I went out comic shopping and grabbed lunch. We went back to her apartment and snuggled more before moving to the living room to watch more Buffy. We ordered pizza and watched Buffy until scottak came home, paused it to hang out until he went to bed, and then stayed up watching more.

Monday morning after staying up late watching Buffy with ona_tangent I slept for about four hours before having to get on the road back to Indianapolis. I reluctantly kissed ona_tangent good-bye, wishing I could stay longer, and then drove back to Indy, going directly to work. Work was busy but got quieter towards the end of the day since I’m back on the late shift, so I had time to catch up.

I went to icespark’s after work, with the intention to hang out and MUX. Unfortunately, I was so tired after four hours of sleep, four hours of driving, and eight hours of work, that I was too tired to RP and instead semi-idled on the MUX while discussed Gen Con plans with icespark. Eventually I became too cranky and sleepy to even do that, so icespark and I gave up and went to bed.

This has been a great week, beginning with a fun MUX night Monday. D3@ said that he might end the Mindswap TP this week, so I was sure to try to squeeze in as much RP as possible with those that were on late before the TP ends. Unfortunately, by the time I got on the MUX, the RP opportunity pickings were slim, but I made the best with who was on, and got a lot of admin work caught up while I was at it.

Tuesday I had the day off to round off hotarugirl’s birthday weekend with her actual birthday. I got up early and was picked up at icespark’s by lildomino. lildomino and I met hotarugirl at Au Bon Pain for breakfast. When lildomino went to work, hotarugirl and I went shopping for ziti supplies, stopping at a new RP shop to poke around before being driven out by the annoying guy who worked there.

hotarugirl and I went back to my apartment, and I made dinner. When lildomino got off work she joined us to eat, and then hotarugirl helped lildomino with her nursing grant applications while I cleaned up. Due to a scheduling snafu, elbanditorojo was only available Tuesday night (instead of Wednesday) to get together to run our Warhammer 40K prelude, so I left hotarugirl with lildomino for a couple of hours while I hung out with elbanditorojo at IHOP.

When I got back to my apartment, lildomino was sleepy, so hotarugirl and I put her to bed and then played World of Darkness in my living room. The in-game ride home from last session’s Conclave turned into a surprising character development opportunity, as a conversation with a former player’s character that I’m now NPCing gave me a chance to make that character my own. I had a lot of fun role-playing with hotarugirl, and after things wound down we went to bed to snuggle lildomino.

Thursday I had a horrible day at work, which luckily was more than made up for by a very pleasant evening with Mika. Once I escaped the office, I made my way to Mika’s apartment. I was met at the door by Mika, who was wearing only a button-up shirt over panties and a bra. She looked incredibly sexy, and greeted me with some of the warmest welcome kisses I’ve ever received. Apparently she’d missed me. I got a massage and lots of snuggles to ease my stress.

This weekend I’m hanging out with icespark for her birthday (lots of birthdays this month!). We’re getting together tonight, and then since neither of us work Monday we have a three-day weekend to celebrate, cuddle, and react. Saturday we’re going to a roller derby bout, and Sunday, icespark’s actual birthday, we have deliciously nothing planned, so we can relax and do whatever the hell we want. I’m very much looking forward to it!
