Well, now that I finally have a shift I can live with (Tues-Sat noon to 8:30PM), of course AT&T has to change it again. California is changing their tech hours, so the techs will no longer be out 'til 9, so we're not needed until midnight. Rather than wait for the next schedule for people to bid the new shifts, they just changed everything effective tomorrow, with fucked the midnight crew because they suddenly can't have early bird parking, so they'll hhave to pay an extra $100 a montht to park, and everyone who had plans before work are fucked, etc. So they're crying foul and want to bid a new shift. If they all abdandon the late shift, I'll get sucked into the vaccuum and go back to until-10PM every night. >B(
We were just discussing The Big Bang Theory at work, and one of my co-workers asked if icespark, an aerospace engineer, had a favorite character on the show, and if it was Sheldon, most people's favorites. I told him I didn't know who was her favorite (although Wolowitz has the closest job to hers), but that it probably wasn't Sheldon, who had this to say about her chosen profession:
"Engineering - this is where the semi-skilled workers realize the work of better minds. Hello, Oompah-Loompahs of science."
I was sooo amused at how insulted and comically annoyed Icespark was by that line on the show. It makes me laugh even now.
This past week was stressful, although it had its high points. icespark hurt her knee at practice, which was the worst part; although since it’s a sprain and not a tear we’re hoping she’ll heal quickly. I did get Friday off to start lildomino’s birthday weekend early, which was good, because I was more than fed up with work. This next week I have off for camping, although it looks like most of my time is already booked, so little downtime for me. Oy.
Last week was rather stressful, partially because I was worried about playing in the Spring Roll derby tournament this past weekend, which turned out to be a blast. hotarugirl was in town, which is always nice – I can’t wait ‘til she moves up here. She’s been helping me clean and organize my apartment, and the results have been pretty dramatic. It’ll be even better when she loves here and we can hang out and role-play whenever we can both find the time. B) ( The boring detailsCollapse )
Yes, the FBI is capible of reading anyone's email. Not, however, Everyone's, since they don't have nearly enough manpower or computing cycles to do it. I'm not worried at all since the FBI doesn't…
Agreed, that is a problem. Of course, it's not helped by the fact that his biographer shouldn't even have known about some of the meetings she apparently attended.
I'm always more inclined to donate to City Harvest (here in NYC) or an equivalent national charity like Feeding America (used to be Second Harvest), or a local food bank. Sorry, Sally, you and the…
