CNN Tapper: ‘Those on the Terrorist Watch List Aren’t Necessarily Terrorists’

It’s just that they have been tagged so says the man. Tapper advances the theory that being on the terrorist watch list is not a big deal –(Tapper wants to make it clear to the viewers.) It is all downhill from there in the most bizarre interview I stumbled upon over at CNN. House SpeakerJohnson tries to make quick work of it but apparently Tapper’s “regulars” find he has the winning argument in the comments left in the clip below.

Once in awhile its good to check out what the opposing position has in mind and with this we get an earful. It picks up around 3 minutes when reality takes a hike.

Chicago Mayor Johnson Moves Toward Government Run Grocery Stores

Chicago’s mayor is planning on teaming up with Biden to bring government food stores to Chicago. When you hear the word “reimagine” something, it’s always good to perk up one’s ears.

Back in April Bunk noted:

Chicago Goes Full Marxist With Election of Mayor Johnson

Brandon Johnson has won the Chicago mayoral election against moderate Democrat Paul Vallas. Johnson calls for removing law enforcement from society. During the 2020 riots, he defended looters, saying they were lashing out against racism. Chicago’s violent crime has surged over the last few years under Lori Lightfoot.

So here is the latest scam since everything else is going swell down Chicago way. Government run grocery stores.

It’s not like it hasn’t been tried before. Johnathan Turley gives us this gem.

The Chicago Tribune reported the start of the feasibility study to open government-run stores as part of Johnson’s pledge to advance “innovative, whole-of-government approaches to address … inequities.”

The mayor said in a statement:

All Chicagoans deserve to live near convenient, affordable, healthy grocery options. We know access to grocery stores is already a challenge for many residents, especially on the South and West sides. A better, stronger, safer future is one where our youth and our communities have access to the tools and resources they need to thrive. My administration is committed to advancing innovative, whole-of-government approaches to address these inequities.

His Economic Security Project senior adviser Ameya Pawar said that government-run stores are no different from other government programs “the way a library or the postal service operates.” It is all part of “reimagining the role government can play in our lives by exploring a public option for grocery stores via a municipally owned grocery store and market.”

Yet, we have previously “imagined” this approach in various governments with uniformly awful results.

The government is not going to run these stores at a profit when actual businesses could not do so. Instead, it is likely to supply food at a higher cost for taxpayers in the red.

What is striking is that Johnson’s office said the grocery stores would be funded with the help of the Biden Administration as well as state funds. The use of federal funds to take another stab at state-run stores was hardly embraced by Congress in prior appropriation debates. If true, it is yet another example of how Congress has allowed billions to be spent without meaningful limits, including the massive and largely unrestricted spending tied to pandemic measures. That funding has been used for everything from office upgrades to state lottery systems.

In the Soviet Union, state-run grocery stores were the subject of gallows humor. The “reimagining” of grocery stores left shelves bare with only imagined essential products. The most widely told joke spread just before the fall of the Soviet Union:

Two men are in line waiting to buy vodka. An hour goes by, then two, and the line barely moves. Everyone is in a terrible mood. Finally, one of the men can’t take it any longer. “This is it! I’m sick of this kind of life. Everywhere there are lines, you cannot buy anything, and the store shelves are empty. I’ve had enough. I’m going to the Kremlin right now to assassinate him”. The man returns after two hours, still angry, and says, “To hell with it! At the Kremlin the line to assassinate Gorbachev is longer than this one.”

As the Johnson and Biden Administration try to make state-run stores work where the Soviet Union failed, history and economics are hardly on their side.

Of course, as University of Chicago’s Milton Friedman noted:

“If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in 5 years there’d be a shortage of sand.”

Chicago Mayor’s Public Forum Invites Infamous Marxist Angela Davis

Chicago’s Mayor, along with “Dr.” Angela Davis will try to explain what rights artists, activists, workers, and students are unable to enjoy in Chicago. Davis, BTW, was the Communist Party’s VP nominee in 1980 and 1984.

Davis gave her full support for Biden and it’s time to revisit why she thought so. Her dreams are being fulfilled.

As the tweet includes: “We are simmering with excitement over this gab fest.” Just who is Angela Davis?

Image

Just who is Angela Davis?

Angela Davis, the Angela Davis, former Communist Party USA vice presidential candidate, former Black Panther, ’60s relic, and Mother of Woke Academics, would be the one to confirm what conservatives have been saying all along?

Angela and her support for Biden just prior to the November election.

This is what conservatives have been saying all along, warning for months that Joe Biden is a weak, addle-pated, nearly senile vessel who will serve as a perfect mask for drawing in voters who imagine he’s still a moderate Democrat and still sentient.  Fact is, he’s got a big extreme political machine behind him, snaking into the void to seize power and set the agenda to a level no witting American would elect if such a wild-eyed agenda were presented openly. CIA and the Assassination of JFK: Tucker Carlson’s War

by Mustang

Tucker Carlson recently astounded everyone by suggesting that the Central Intelligence Agency (C.I.A.) was behind the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.  Unfortunately, Mr. Carlson doesn’t know anymore “as a fact” than we, the unwashed, know, but as a matter of form, I will have to admit that no one had a better motive to kill the president than Vice President Lyndon Johnson, and no agency was in a better position to carry out that mission than the C.I.A.

We might also consider the amount of money that went to the C.I.A. during Johnson’s administration.  But you know, that’s only my uninformed opinion.  I don’t know.  I suspect that I never will know.  This isn’t something to be bandied about indiscriminately — it is a grave allegation, and I would be horrified if Mr. Carlson made it indiscriminately.

Here’s what Mr. Carlson had to say:

The connection that Mr. Carlson is trying to make is that a very questionable psychiatrist by the name of Louis Jolyon West, a man who participated in illegal experimentation with LSD (Lysergic acid diethylamide), was an employee of the C.I.A. and that he visited with the murderer of Lee Harvey Oswald in 1964 and pronounced him as clinically insane.  Carlson suggests that in making such a proclamation, Dr. West provided cover to the C.I.A., the suggestion being that Jack Ruby (as an insane man) was not to be believed no matter what he might say.

At the very least, Jack Ruby was a very unfortunate man.  His name at birth was Jacob Leon Rubenstein, Chicago, born in 1911, and he was raised in a violent household.  As a child, “Jack” was often truant from school and, on that account, was incarcerated in the Institute for Juvenile Research.  Whatever they did for him didn’t work because once released, he was frequently involved with off-track betting for the “mob.”  Today, we refer to him as Jack — but his friends call him “Sparky” because of his quick temper.

During World War II, Ruby served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as an aircraft mechanic in the United States.  Following his discharge in 1946, he returned to Chicago for about a year before moving to Dallas, Texas, with his brothers.  Collectively, they changed their names to Ruby.

In Dallas, Jack began to manage nightclubs and strip joints and, in this capacity, developed close relationships with several Dallas Police Department personnel.  Apparently, Ruby provided local cops with free booze and access to prostitutes when they weren’t writing traffic citations.

This alone would have constituted a “criminal activity,” but the suggestion that he was involved with the so-called “underworld” became serious after Kennedy’s murder.  His alleged involvement with the mob included illegal gambling, narcotics, and prostitution.  He was said to be involved with a Jewish criminal organization, the Yiddish Connection.  There is also a suggestion that Ruby was an arms dealer.

In 1959, Ruby became an informant for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I.), but there is some question about whether he was ever a paid informant.  One might assume that this connection might open doors to subsequent involvement with other federal law enforcement agencies, but assumptions without verifiable facts don’t advance any concrete theory.  For the most part, Ruby was known as an underworld pimp, but that did not place him in the same league as John Wilkes Booth.

Ruby’s activities between 21 November 1963 and 24 November were nothing, if not bizarre.  All we know is what the Warren Commission reported a year after Kennedy’s assassination.  The Commission claims that he exhibited a mixture of anti-gentilism and other peculiar behavior.  Since he was caught on camera shooting Lee Harvey Oswald, we would be hard-pressed to deny it.

What we may continue to question, however, is whether Lee Harvey Oswald actually killed Kennedy or, if so, who he was working for when he pulled the trigger.  What we know about Oswald’s rifle marksmanship is that he barely qualified with the service rifle while in the Marine Corps.  Some will argue that it takes some skill for a sniper to hit a moving target — and Oswald didn’t have that skill.  Still, they say that even a blind squirrel can find an acorn.

See also: Servant or Master.  Given what we know about the C.I.A., as well as members of Congress playing fast and loose with the law (Charlie Wilson’s War), a prudent citizen would not discount our government’s capacity for doing evil.

Was the Central Intelligence Agency complicit in the murder of a president?  I do not know.  But what I do know is that if the C.I.A. was involved in the Kennedy murder, then Donald J. Trump should consider himself lucky that he only ended up on the short end of the stick of a cartoonish dossier … it might have been somewhat worse.

COVID Stats: Number of Hospitalized Patients- Percent Vax, Non-Vax, ICU Non- ICU, and Vent Non-Vent

Here are the number of Covid hospitalized patients both vaccinated and unvaccinated. The percent of patients in the ICU and on Vents for both groups. This from Penn Lancaster General in Pennsylvania.

Anyone at high risk, or over 70, or with co-morbidities, or living in congregate living arrangements, may find this information especially useful. I appreciate those who are sharing the downside and risks of the vaccines. However it is reaching a fervor that needs to be tempered with risks inherent with forgoing vaccination.

I live in a retirement community that has had 28 Covid deaths. Since the vaccination the second jab of which was in April we have had zero deaths, the dying stopped. We have had some additional cases of Covid though unclear how many of these were break throughs or were unvaccinated. We had a 96 percent vaccination rate of residents as of last April.

Data is current as of October 28, 2021 at 6 a.m. Additional state and countywide COVID-19 data can be found on the Pennsylvania Department of Health website.

Corker and Chaffetz at hearings and socks it to the government- Video

After watching yesterday’s various hearings, I have attempted to put together three of my favorite hits. Guaranteed to give you a lot of fireworks, display the contempt this government has for us, and to otherwise be worthy of your time.  First, the most explosive with our man Kerry. (This is a duplicate that I offered as well with the vote to arm the Syrian rebels today). What would be a hit without Lerch. Lerch suggests that ISIS has been put on their heels by the Free Syrian Army. Then Chaffetz gives it to DHS, and finally a rather obscure clip when this DHS fellow is shown mocking us. Put your feet up and Enjoy!

Wednesday at the Senate Foreign Relation Committee hearing on U.S. strategy for combating ISIS, Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) criticized President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State John Kerry as “three senators” exercising “terrible judgment” on the U.S. strategy against ISIS. A written portion follows.

Kerry got into a heated exchange with Corker who said, “I want to say as I said personally, we have three senators, president, vice president, secretary of state, that are exercising terrible judgment right now. And to say that you’re going to do this regardless of what we say, you’re not going to ask for buy-in by the United States Senate or House of Representatives on behalf of the American people in a conflict that’s going to be multiyear. Some people say a decade. Taking us into another country with a different enemy, is exercising the worst judgment possible.”

“I’ve said this to you as strongly as I can personally, that in essence what you’re saying to the chairman right now, saying if Congress wants to play a constructive role, we would welcome that, to me, this is a political game and I’m disappointed that you as secretary of state, being chairman of this committee, espousing the views you have espoused,” he added.

Chaffetz to DHS Sec.: Do you know of any known terrorists apprehended at the southwest border.

Hearing: “Worldwide Threats to the Homeland”
House Homeland Security Full Committee
Sept. 17, 2014

During a House Homeland Security Committee hearing today focused on worldwide threats to America, Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), asked DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson whether he is “aware of any apprehensions of suspected or known terrorists” who have attempted to enter the U.S. illegally during his tenure as homeland security chief.  Johnson was sworn in as the fourth DHS secretary on December 23, 2013. When asked if he was aware of that situation, Johnson said, “I’ve heard reports to that effect. I don’t know the accuracy of the reports or how much credence to give them, but I’ve heard reports to that effect.”

“I do agree with you that the challenge of those coming from countries other than Mexico particularly into the Rio Grande Valley sector [in Texas] is one I’m very concerned about. It’s something I’ve been concerned about since I took office in January,” the DHS secretary told Rep. Chaffetz. “I’ve seen it myself at our detention center in Brownsville when I visited there in January, there was something like 80 nationalities of illegal migrants present there.”

The congressman from Utah, citing an “internal” DHS document as the source, said that so far this fiscal year (Sept.1 thru October 30), the U.S. has apprehended aliens from 143 different countries trying to illegally enter the U.S., including 13 individuals from Syria, 6 from Iraq, and 4 from Iran.

Those countries have been identified by the U.S. government as having ties to terrorism.

Rep. Chaffetz noted that although nearly 466,000 illegal aliens have been apprehended so far in fiscal 2014, an estimated 157,012 have been identified as “got-aways” and 142,630 as “turn-backs.”

Finally this clip where we are mocked.

During this interview, Mr. Johnson opines that everyone here illegally will willingly come forward and that will make for a safer America. Mr. Barletta takes him to task and asks whether drug dealers will come forward as well. Note the smirk.
