Havana Syndrome – Our World is Getting Nastier.

by Mustang

Five cases of the so-called Havana Syndrome were directed against the United States Embassy in Borgata, Columbia, late in 2021.  The U.S. mission there is one of the largest in the world.  In addition to career diplomats and staff, there are numerous intelligence agents and drug enforcement officials.

Embassy staff speak of it as an “anomalous health incident.”  It’s a buzzword the State Department uses instead of “Havana Syndrome.”  It first became known to us in 2016, when dozens of cases were detected among U.S. and Canadian diplomats (and their families) in the Cuban capital.  Drowsiness, fatigue, headaches, balance, ear aches, and blurred vision were the effects.  Some victims suffered permanent hearing loss.

Since 2016, similar health complaints have been reported in Russia, China, Vietnam, Austria, and Berlin.  In every case, the symptoms appeared suddenly, giving some the impression that they were suffering from food poisoning.

Experts at the Center for Brain Injury and Repair at the University of Pennsylvania studied some of the U.S. citizens injured in the aforementioned locations.  They published a study in the 2018 Journal of the American Medical Association.  Researchers discovered that the syndrome’s victims were severely impaired in their balance and cognitive, motor, and sensory abilities — as if they had suffered a severe concussion.  Only unlike actual concussions, the symptoms didn’t disappear.  They only subsided before returning with even more disruptive force.

In late 2020, experts at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine in the United States opined that the target pulses of radio-frequency energy were behind the symptoms.  Still, U.S. intelligence personnel said they were “unsure” about the cause of abnormal health incidents.

This is a lie, of course.  The U.S. government knows what’s been going on because they helped develop such capabilities.  Scientific researchers claim that the Havana Syndrome is caused by microwave weapons explicitly used to target diplomats, intelligence officials, and their families.  Such weapons already exist within the U.S. arsenal.

Questions remain about who is behind these activities, with the U.S. claiming the Russian GRU (a military intelligence agency).  So far, the White House hasn’t commented on it, but in 2021, the U.S. Congress passed the Havana Act, which authorized government agencies to pay staff and their families affected by the syndrome.

More recently, in 2023, U.S. intelligence agencies downplayed the involvement of foreign agents, saying that there is no “credible evidence” that an adversary is behind the incidents.  However, on April 1, 2024, Deutsche Welle reported that Havana Syndrome IS linked to Russian intelligence, according to a joint media investigation released on Monday.

The Der Spiegel report says, “Diplomats may have been targeted by sonic weapons,” uncovering evidence suggesting that unexplained anomalous health incidents may have their origin in the use of directed energy weapons known to be in the possession of GRU Unit 29155.

Russia denied the report, of course, and while the National Institutes for Health (NIH) found no evidence of MRI-detectible brain injury or biological abnormalities, they did determine that the symptoms of Havana Syndrome are “severe.”

60 Minutes producers Michael Rey and Oriana Zill de Granados discuss the evolution of their 5-year investigation into “Havana Syndrome,” which led them to what one source calls “a receipt” for acoustic weapon testing done by a Russian intelligence unit.

Jen Psaki refuses to acknowledge that Communism is an issue in Cuba

Is anyone really surprised? Psaki Refuses To Speak Out Against ‘Communism’ In Cuba When Asked About ‘Root Causes’ Of Crisis. After all Harris is supposedly checking out the root causes of why people are fleeing their homelands and flooding our borders. Could it be Marxism isn’t so swell? Hmm… We sure know a lot of Cubans want out. But our door is not going to take “their tired’ and “poor” None of their huddled masses yearning to be free.Yesterday we learn DHS Mallorcus – Cuban refugees not welcome and will be returned

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki refused to speak out against communism in Cuba when pressed on Wednesday about the root causes of the ongoing crisis on the island nation.

“As the administration tries to figure out the ‘root causes’ of migration to the country, don’t we know that the reason people want to leave Cuba is because they don’t like communism?” a reporter asked Psaki. “Do you think people are leaving Cuba because they don’t like communism?”

Comrade Jen

Recall just who Jen Psaki is and her role.

WestExec – Meet the firm that’s running our country & Biden and is fearful of

WestExec has staffed the administration with over 23 of its executives, who have sprawled out across the national security and intelligence apparatus. The Intercept and The American Prospect dug into these profiles, and some of the biggest names in government are among them, including:

  • Tony Blinken, U.S. Secretary of State; Co-founder and managing partner of WestExec
  • Avril Haines, Director of National Intelligence; Principal
  • David S. Cohen, Deputy Director at the CIA; Principal
  • Lisa Monaco, Deputy Attorney General; Principal
  • Chris Inglis, National Cyber Director; Principal
  • Jen Psaki, White House Press Secretary; Senior Adviser
  • Ely Ratner, Asst. Sec. of Defense for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs; Senior Adviser

It is an impressive list, as concerning as it might be that one security cabal could singlehandedly consolidate such influence in one presidential administration. But the list isn’t finished yet.

  • Colin Thomas-Jensen, National Security Director for USAID; Senior Adviser
  • Michael Camilleri, Sr. Adviser to USAID Admin.; Senior Adviser
  • Gabrielle Chefitz, Special Asst. to Under Sec. of Defense for Policy; Senior Associate
  • Julianne Smith, Senior Adviser to Sec. of State; Senior Adviser
  • Barbara Leaf, Senior Director for Middle East, NSC; Senior Adviser
  • Elizabeth Rosenberg, Counselor to Deputy Sec. of Treasury; Senior Advisor
  • Matt Olsen, Asst. Attorney General; Principal

So we really have no need of being surprised.

Mustang gave us a few interesting factoids in a comment yesterday regarding Asylum. Just for the record.

Mexicans can illegally pass over the US/Mexican border and obtain blanket asylum; Cubans will not be allowed to set foot inside the United States. Hmmm. Scratching head. 8 USC § 1158, Asylum: “Any alien who is physically present in the United States or who arrives in the United States (whether or not at a designated port of arrival and including an alien who is brought to the United States after having been interdicted in international or United States waters) irrespective of such alien’s status, may apply for asylum in accordance with this section or, where applicable, section 1225(b) of this title.”

One would presume that a US official would consider a US Coast Guard ship as United States property — because 10 USC § 1225 states, “An alien present in the United States who has not been admitted or who arrives in the United States (whether or not at a designated port of arrival and including an alien who is brought to the United States after having been interdicted in international or United States waters) shall be deemed for purposes of this chapter, an applicant for admission.”

So, to me anyway, it would appear as if the Biden administration has taken extra-legal steps to deny Cuban’s access to the protections of United States law with respect to refugees and asylees. I have not heard from any “human rights groups” so far. Is it possible that the interests of human rights groups are political party-dependent? Wow … that would be shocking.

But back to the post. Have no fear. Biden et al may not want any potential GOP voters in the form of Cuban refugees, but look out. Manchin will bend and have enough “immigrants” made legal by 2024 to insure the Dems stay in power. The Dems will figure out a way for them to vote.

Bloomberg adds a few more details:

Manchin on Wednesday afternoon signaled support for some aspects of the plan and said he is “fine” with it including language establishing legal permanent residency for some immigrants.

“I’m a 2013 immigration supporter,” Manchin said, referring to a Senate-passed bill that would have made it possible for many undocumented immigrants to gain legal status. “If we had that bill then we would not have the problems we have today.”

The last hope for Republicans is that the Senate parliamentarian will spike the immigration component of the bill on procedural grounds, as happened when lefty Dems wanted to add a national minimum-wage hike to the COVID relief bill. Under reconciliation, a bill has to bear directly on the budget; it can’t include “extraneous” or incidental non-budgetary subject matter. Normally that’s how we’d conceive of immigration reform, primarily a cultural rather than pecuniary dispute over whether to grant illegal immigrants a right to remain in the U.S. The wrinkle, however, is that legalizing millions of people could have enormous fiscal consequences, starting with employers paying them on the books and collecting tax revenue from them. So there is some budgetary salience to amnesty in a bill that otherwise needs to find $3.5 trillion in pay-fors.

DHS Mallorcus – Cuban refugees not welcome and will be returned

No potential GOP voters need to try and make it to America so says DHS Mallorcus. Of course Florida is a much needed State for the Democrats and we don’t need any more Cubans immigrating who have an affinity for Capitalism and America in particular. What is even more telling is he himself is a Cuban immigrant who fled in the 1960’s. Of course Marxists and those who wish to feed at our trough are more than welcome. Here tis:

Those who flee Cuba and Haiti by boat will not be admitted to the United States, even if they show fear of persecution or torture in their own country.Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mallorcas caveat on Tuesday.

Mallorcus, a Cuban immigrant who fled the island with his family in 1960, issued a harsh warning in the wake of the recent political events of the earthquake that shook Haiti and Cuba.

“Clarify, if you go to the sea, you won’t come to the United States,” said Mallorcus, emphasizing the dangers of boating across the Caribbean and the Straits of Florida.

Mallorcus said those trying to reach the United States at sea would be intercepted by the Coast Guard and soon returned to their home countries. Even if asylum-seekers succeed in interviewing US officials, they will not be allowed to set foot on US lands, regardless of screening results, Mallorcus added.

“If individuals create and establish a well-founded fear of persecution and torture, they will be referred to a third country for resettlement,” Mallorcus said. “They do not enter the United States.”

Cuban activist living in U.S. for 50 years, ordered deported

Obama shows his appreciation to Castro for his recent lovely family vacation by sending back a dissident who supports Democracy in Cuba. Hmm. Anyone recall how the Clinton’s had Eric Holder send back the six-year-old Elian Gonzalez? Could someone ask Hillary about it? Better good old Bill? Here tis:

Odd how after slavishly licking the boots of the Cuban dictator that Obama finally gets around to actually deporting someone.

Living for nearly half a century in the United States offers no guarantee that one can stay.

That is a reality now facing Cuban exile activist Ramón Saúl Sánchez, leader of the Democracy Movement, who received a letter Thursday from the federal government ordering him to leave the country as soon as possible. The order arrived just as he planned to sail across the Florida Straits as part of a flotilla off the coast of Cuba, organized as a show of solidarity with political prisoners in Cuban jails.

Sánchez, who obtained legal entry into the U.S. in what is known as a “parole,” had applied for permanent residency in 2002 so he could legally travel aboard the many flotillas he has organized over the years and return easily to the United States.

That permanent residency request has been denied and his parole has now also expired, according to the letter issued by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

“You are not authorized to remain in the United States and should make arrangements to depart as soon as possible,” stated the letter, dated April 7 and received by Sánchez on Thursday. “Failure to depart may result in your being found ineligible for immigration benefits and inadmissible to the United States in the future.”

We have millions of people here illegally, many of them criminals, yet now it’s a priority to deport this man? More at JWF  H/T:Weasel Zippers

Anyone else recall how the Clinton’s handled this one too?

And yet it was (then) Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder, under President Clinton, who concocted the “legal” cover for the INS to mace, kick, stomp, and gun-butt  their way into the home of Elian Gonzalez’s legal custodians (legal U.S. citizens and residents all) on the morning of April 22, 2000, wrench  a bawling 6-year-old child from his family at machine-gun point, and bundle him off to Castro’s terror-sponsoring fiefdom, leaving 102 people (legal U.S. citizens and residents all) injured, some seriously.

Cubans handed cash, Social Security card, food stamps, Medicaid at U.S. border

No big news here, but a reminder that the special status of Cuban “refugees’ automatically get the Obama phones and more. All one needs to do is get here. The clip shows an example of 8000 who got hung up on their way. Next time guys, take a direct flight. If anyone wondered the purpose of the Obama Cuban policy look no further. Yes, direct flights out of Havana should bring the “tired refuse of your teeming shores” here pronto with new voters coming right up. Here we go:

Thousands of Cubans rushing the U.S. border in record numbers are being greeted with a Welcome Wagon operation the provides them with taxpayer-funded benefits including cash, a Social Security card, food stamps, and Medicaid, according to a review of the latest immigration crisis on the border.

During a field trip to the Laredo, Texas crossing point, two experts from the Center for Immigration Studies documented how Cubans are provided with the services free of charge in a storefront operation set up by a Cuban immigrant, who even provides housing and schedules transportation to Miami.

“The door is wide open. Come and get your free stuff,” is how Jessica M. Vaughan, director of policy studies for the Center for Immigration Studies, sized it up.

DHS working to insure massive influx of Cuban and South Americans

As CNSNews.com reported earlier, according to DHS’s Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the number of Unaccompanied Alien Children (ages 0-17) entering the United States is up 102 percent in fiscal year 2016 (Oct. 1, 2015 to Jan. 31, 2016) compared to the same period in fiscal year 2015 – 10,105 and 20,455 respectively. Sunday Respite: Cuban Music for our newest ‘refugees’

Here they come. Open the gates. Tens of thousands of Cuban ‘refugees.’ This should change Florida and Texas voting patterns big time. Just watch them hop on the next available plane or boat. All are eligible for ‘refugee’ status.

Cuban Refugee Adjustment Act

The Cuban Refugee Adjustment Act, as the name suggests, helps make it easier for Cuban citizens to escape Cuba and get permanent residence in the United States. Any Cuban citizen who has been inspected, admitted or paroled into the United States can apply for a Green Card after living in the United States for one year. The spouse and young children of Cuban citizens can use this law to get a Green Card, even if they are not Cuban citizens themselves. Someone who was born in Cuba but becomes a citizen elsewhere can get a Green Card under this law.

Furthermore, a Cuban who has had a family based petition approved can be paroled into the United States while he or she is waiting for a Green Card. The United States government also runs a lottery that allows Cuban citizens to migrate to the U.S.

Asylum

If a Cuban citizen cannot manage to take advantage of the Cuban Refugee Adjustment Act, he or she can still apply for asylum. There are many human rights abuses in Cuba that would make people afraid to return to or remain in Cuba.
The U.S. State Department lists the principal human rights abuses in Cuba as “abridgement of the right of citizens to change their government; government threats, intimidation, mobs, harassment, and detentions to prevent citizens from assembling peacefully.”

According to reports, it was common for government officials to detain people for political reasons, and prisoners were often harassed and tortured. Free speech is only allowed to the extent that is supports the government and socialism; anyone who speaks out against either can be sent to jail. If people assemble to protest, the government typically organizes mobs to attach protestors. While the Cuban president’s daughter, Mariela Castro, has spoken out in favor of the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people, activists report that discrimination against LGBT people is common.

If you are Cuban and you are interested in obtaining permanent residence in the United States, New York Human Rights Committee may be able to help you. Call us at +1 (800) 560-1768 today. We are available 24/7.

Obama bashes United States while in Panama ‘Dark Chapters in our History’

Precious little was reported even by Conservative bloggers regarding Obama’s continued attacks on our Nation’s history while in Panama. I could only find one clip but this was not the worst of it. His long diatribe of over an hour was filled with negative comments. This in front of many who should be accused of war crimes. The Castros are smiling. So put this down as a post just for the record. Here we go:

Obama has a long history of bashing America while traveling outside of the country. In January he trashed racist America while in India. He gave front row seats to the Muslim Brotherhood when he trashed America in Cairo.

I am a student of history so I tend to actually be familiar with many of these episodes that have been mentioned. I am the first one to acknowledge that America’s application to concern around human rights has not always been consistent. And, I’m certainly mindful that there are dark chapters in our own history in which we have not always observed the principles and ideals upon which the country was founded. Just a few weeks ago I was in Selma, Alabama celebrating the 50th anniversary of a march across a bridge that resulted in horrific violence and the reason I was there and the reason it was a celebration is because it was a triumph of human spirit in which ordinary people without resort to violence were able to overcome systematic segregation. There voices were heard and our country changed. America never makes a claim about being perfect, we do make a claim about being open to change.”
