Code Enforcement Department
Bexley Code establishes a minimum standard that structures and exterior property must meet. Bexley's Code Enforcement Department routinely audits the City for violations of this code and also responds to reports and complaints of violations.
In most cases of code violation, there will be two violation notices issued to the property owner explaining the violation and giving a period of time for owners to correct the violation(s). The Building and Zoning Department will, under certain conditions, issue a citation into Mayor's Court.

Snow Days in Bexley - What You Need to Know
Winter is upon us and snowy weather is bound to pop up from time to time!
Our Service Department will work hard to keep streets treated and plowed during snow events, but please remember home and business owners in Bexley are required to clear the sidewalks adjacent to their property.
Please also take care to keep our streets and gutters clear when snow plows will be clearing our roadways. Whenever possible, park your car in your driveway or garage during snow events, and be sure to clear any yard waste, leaves, or other objects from the roadway.
Pro Tip: Avoid the second shovel! For heavier snowfall events, shovel snow to the right side of your driveway (facing the street) so that plows don't push your shoveled snow back across your driveway.
Thank you for doing your part to keep your neighbors and our crews safe during winter weather!
