Balaji is on to something here. If the Internet could create something as ambitious as Wikipedia, surely it should be possible to build a 'truth layer' for the web.

It should be open source technology.

Take a piece of text, parse it, extract assertions, compare to explicitly specified knowledge graphs and oracles.
