    Zero patients with #COVID19 at San Francisco General Hospital today. For first time since March 5th 2020, over 14 months ago. Overwhelming gratitude to the physicians, nurses, & staff of SF General for their incredible, tireless work that has undoubtedly saved countless lives.

    Prop 17 in California passed. The right to vote has been restored for tens of thousands of people. All formerly incarcerated people in California can now vote. Felony disenfranchisement is done.

    Eliminating bathrooms doesn't make people stop pooping. Eliminating trash cans doesn't make people stop throwing trash. Eliminating buses at night doesn't make people stop traveling at all hours. Cities should provide services people need, not pretend those needs don't exist.

    SF is finally on the verge of removing the ban on apartment buildings in much of the city. For far too long, nearly all of the new housing built in San Francisco has been on the east side of the city. Multi family housing should be permitted all over our city, including on

    I cannot support an indefinite curfew in San Francisco. Such a curfew would include unprecedented restrictions on freedom of speech, freedom to assemble, and peaceful protest. It will allow residents to be searched or arrested for simply being outside at 8:01pm for any reason.

    All the data says that fully vaccinated people **do not** carry the virus and cannot pass it to others. That is huge. The CDC Director made that clear today.
