As a defensive coach, I think the pistol is the hardest to prepare for since they can go both ways with plays so harder to get tendencies when scouting and entering data.
This reminded me of a presentation, I believe he or Belichick gave, on importance of coaches needing to make adjustments after 1st-3rd series more so than halftime because waiting until half is too late.

I’ve never felt a single high safety can do the job it is designed to do in HS. Tougher to find that Ed Reed type kid in high school than 2 solid safeties. Also can disguise quarters, cover 2 and 2 Read & while at 8 yard depth can still get involved in run game quickly.
