Please take this with the compassion I mean it: if you view people who love you telling you about their worries as "making you worry", if you view people caring about your safety as some kind of pressure on you - then you're probably not doing too well psychologically.

I've thought this before about some fiction but then realised the purpose of aliens in fiction is usually to show us a different social system or different way of thinking, not a different anatomy. The anatomy of the alien is really irrelevant to the story most of the time
