    This is what privilege looks like on a crowded train from Liverpool St to Chingford late tonight. This man was aware that quite a few of us were standing but actually felt that his bike deserved the priority seat instead of any of us (including a woman heading for her 70s).

    My neighbour just complained because I tossed all my share of snails into his garden. He doesn’t understand that I am creating a LSG (low snail garden). Who cares if they ate his lettuces? I have lots of expensive plants in my garden and they matter more. @VincentStops

    Having just missed the bus I walked to Dalston Jnt to get the overground. Beat the bus to DJ so hopped on. Balls Pond Rd so congested I got off the next stop & walked back to the overground. This is what local travel is like post LTN. Buses often no longer a viable option. 👇11am

    Was crossing Amhurst Rd w/a child yesterday when cyclists cut across us on the wrong side of the road. Obvs too much traffic on the “right” side of the rd & a red light. I had just paid for food at my local grocer & had my phone in my hand, so snapped this photo. @willnorman OK?

    Bloke in local bike repair shop was shocked to see our matching stickers . Just because we don’t drive and do cycle doesn’t mean we need to accept environmental injustice and having our lives shortened for the benefit of people a few streets away. @metecoban92 @mayorofhackney

    It’s interesting that pro-LTNers fail to understand that many of us objecting to LTNs are very environmentally conscious but stand against environmental racism & classism. Lab implemented LTNs to the detriment of those least likely/able to defend their own interests. So wrong!

    I was innocently filming congestion once I got off the bus to show that it went all the way into Hackney and could not be blamed on Islington. Luckily, this pensioner is still able to dodge cyclists when I see them coming. LTNs making active travel safer anyone? @VincentStops

    Just saw a friend who was at the Haringey meeting featuring Miliband last week. She was quite upset to hear @perayahmet repeat her allegations that people opposing LTNs tend to be right-wing climate deniers. No, we just recognise environmental racism/classism & eco-ableism.

    Today’s @Telegraph confirming what environmental justice campaigners recognised from the start. There was no increase in traffic on “smaller residential” roads due to “rat running”. Whitehall lie? LCC/local Lab councils used these lies to harm poorer residents on sacrificial rds.

    I love the people in my bit of Dalston/Hackney Central. Not one person I spoke with today supports LTNs and nobody is fooled about who is benefitting and who is not. Parents worried about their children. Managers worried about impact on businesses and health of staff.

    This evening @mayorofhackney told a live & online audience that removing LTNs would “create more demand” for driving. What a load of nonsense. Car ownership inside London Fields LTN increased significantly in the year AFTER its creation. Explain that one. @BillParryDavies

    My Labour opponent in the King’s Park Ward by-election lives on the road in the 1st photo. I live on the road in the 2nd. So easy to stay quiet and toe the party line when you benefit (or so it seems). No to gated communities! How many councillors live inside LTNs?
