- Words cannot express how angry and sad this makes me feel. The most powerful man in the world hates Muslims and is not shy in saying so. Sadiq Khan is the best Mayor we have had and he handles himself with dignity and pride at all times. - This is outrageous. I want to be abundantly clear that the council were not informed of this and the first I heard was when someone sent me the social media link. If the Home Office wants to descend upon people in this way the least they can do is talk to local stakeholders.Currently happening in wood green north london crack down on Uber and deliveroo drivers & immigration checks also

00:00 - It shouldn’t need stating, but I’ll do so anyway. These ‘protests’ are about targeting Muslims. They’re not ‘mindless’, they are anti Muslim/Islamophobic, dangerously so. Let us be clear that we stand with the Muslim communities who are being targeted for simply being Muslim.
- These are just some of our new COUNCIL homes. All council homes at council rents, directly built by Haringey Council through our contractors. - Really sad and disappointed to have been sent this today. This follows a fantastic launch yesterday where we celebrated the life and legacy of John La Rose. What could this ever achieve beyond mindless vandalism.
- I know many of you feel strongly about the LTN’s. However calling me a s**g, a fascist, fat, stupid, threatening to vote Tory, or telling me to resign 10 times a day will not make us listen more. Please engage constructively so we can get this right together.
- Haringey’s first Low Traffic Neighbourhood is due to go live on Monday. I was on Nightingale Road in Bounds Green this afternoon having a look around. There were some concerns raised by local residents, but I’m hopeful the benefits will be very evident in a matter of weeks.

- I’m the daughter of Turkish Cypriot immigrants. I grew up in a working class family and am now the leader of Haringey Council, a place I was born and raised. I’m not an influential voice, but here goes… immigration is not the problem. Lack of hope is. Stop stoking the fire.
- My inbox is full of messages from individuals ‘objecting’ to the La Rose Lane renaming. One directly refers to me as a c**t It’s not clear if they are local, but it is clear what their agenda is. Haringey has always stood up to far right bullies & we are not going to stop now
- At the North Middlesex hospital with my mum today, the nurse is African, the Dr is Syrian & the phlebotomist is Turkish #1DayWithoutUs
