Surgeon (end of consult) Sorry I wasn’t wearing a 😷 when you came in, I find them really hard to wear, 365 … I’m pregnant (very early - flat stomach). Us: Oh congratulations! Hubs:Oh you should try the @flo_mask (indicating to his face)..I don’t feel the need to take it off⬇️

If only people knew the $, equipment, consumables, and human resources, that is needed for ONE patient for ONE day in ICU...they'd reconsider re-starting masking

It’s hard enough just being a frontline healthcare provider. Patients not masking. Colleagues not masking. In fact, I’ve been pressured to drop masking. But we need to continue fighting the good fight. Masking. And trying to convince others to put their masks back on.

Thanks for potentially making those who mask even more stigmatized. It’s insulting for me who is both a physician working with vulnerable patients and a patient, to be lumped in with those with criminal intent @Limbictweets @TheSheepcat @LGSentinel

This was on board. It’s not stocked like an ER. And the doctor is a humanitarian. He put himself & his family at risk b/c of his professional ethical values. If the sick passenger had ethical values, he shouldn’t have boarded. And Air Canada should still have masking mandates

Thank you for sharing. My heart broke when I read your thread. (I am a gynecologist who has a clinic in an Indigenous health centre.) Please consider submitting to the CMAJ or other journal. To bring awareness to other HC providers the realities of being Indigenous.
