Webmail IMAP Settings
Important Note: Before configuring your webmail account, ensure you have the correct server settings and login credentials. This guide will help you set up your webmail account for secure access.
Follow these steps to configure your webmail account:
- Log in to your Webmail account using your credentials.
- Locate and click on your account picture in the top-right corner of the interface.
- From the dropdown menu, select the Configure Mail client option to access the mail client configuration settings.
- In the mail client configuration section, locate the Incoming Server details.
- Carefully copy the following information:
- Server address
- Port number
- Security type (SSL/TLS)
- Username (usually your full email address)
- Use these details to configure your email client or backup software.
Success! You have now successfully configured your Webmail account settings. Use these details in your email client or backup software.
Common IMAP Server Settings:
- Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server: Usually imap.yourdomain.com
- Port: 993 (SSL) or 143 (TLS)
- Security: SSL/TLS
- Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: Usually smtp.yourdomain.com
- Port: 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)
- Security: SSL/TLS or STARTTLS
Note: If you encounter any connection issues, verify that:
- Your webmail account is active and accessible
- You're using the correct server settings
- Your firewall or network isn't blocking the connection
- You have the necessary permissions to access the mail server
