Device Reutilization Program

We want to give gently-used Durable Medical Equipment (DME) a second life.

Oklahoma ABLE Tech staff retrieves donated equipment; sanitizes and refurbishes devices; works with vendors to repair the equipment if needed; and reassigns DME devices to the best-matched Oklahoman. Any Oklahoman who is in need of medical equipment or devices, regardless of income, is eligible for the program. Priority will be given to SoonerCare members.

Instructions:

  • Visit the Oklahoma ABLE Tech’s Portal on NATADS.
  • Navigate to the “View Reutilization Items” button to see the available inventory.
  • Browse through the inventory to see what equipment is in stock.
  • Return to this webpage to complete your application to receive equipment

Please note:

Our staff will match you with equipment based on the details in your application. You cannot request specific items from our inventory.

Most images in our inventory are stock images of common DME, not photos of the exact piece of equipment listed.

100% Donation Based Program

This program is 100% donation-based – which means without community contribution, we don’t have a robust inventory! Now is the time to schedule a DME pick-up or drop-off OR make a tax-deductible financial contribution by mailing a check to the Oklahoma ABLE Tech Device Reutilization Program’s office.

Please note: we can not accept donations of liquids, sharps, medications, mattresses/pillows, or oxygen-related items.

Device Reutilization

Do you need a device from us? First, fill out an application.

NOTICE: The Device Reutilization Program is no longer using the NATADS system for DME applications. Any application submitted through NATADS after 7/17/2024 will not be processed.

If you need a printable version, please download and return the PDF version of the Application for Durable Medical Equipment by email to atreuse@okstate.edu or mail to 4301 Will Rogers Pkwy, Suite 950, Oklahoma City, OK 73108.

You may apply for up to three (3) pieces of equipment at a time. Once our staff has received your application, they will review it and make sure all necessary documentation has been received. Our staff may contact you to verify any additional information they may need to match equipment appropriately.

Once the equipment has been matched, if it is available, our staff will contact you to coordinate shipment, pickup, or delivery arrangements.

If the equipment is not available, you will be placed on a waitlist. The length of the waitlist depends on the number of new donations received and the number of other individuals who may be waiting on that item. Staff will notify you if your application has been placed on the waitlist at the time it is processed and offer any additional resources that may be available for faster fulfillment.

Device Exchange

Let us help connect you to another Oklahoman for a direct exchange.

This is a person-to-person exchange of equipment, which functions like a free, classified, online marketplace. Oklahoma ABLE Tech can help you donate, sell, or locate equipment, such as wheelchairs, modified vehicles, lift chairs, and other devices/supplies, for a reasonable price.

Check back often, as the list changes daily. Items can be viewed by visiting the Device Exchange website, but to request an item, please complete the Application for Durable Medical Equipment.

If you need a printable version, please download and return the PDF version of the Application for Durable Medical Equipment by email to atreuse@okstate.edu or mail to 4301 Will Rogers Pkwy, Suite 950, Oklahoma City, OK 73108.

Area Agencies on Aging

Kiamichi Economic Development District of Oklahoma (KEDDO), Indian Nations Council of Governments (INCOG), and Central Oklahoma Economic Development District (COEDD) AAAs have partnered with ABLE Tech to assist with using Masonic Grant funds for residents who reside in their respective counties. Through this partnership, Oklahoma ABLE Tech’s Device Reutilization Program is assisting qualified recipients in the purchase of needed AT and DME.

To qualify for the Masonic Grant funds, individuals must live in one of these specific counties, be 55 years of age or older, be of low to moderate income, and have a need for AT and DME to maintain an independent lifestyle. Once the individuals no longer need the purchased equipment, it is intended for those items to be donated back to the Device Reutilization Program for use by another individual who needs such items.

  • COEDD – Hughes, Lincoln, Okfuskee, Pawnee, Payne, Pottawatomie, and Seminole Counties
  • INCOG – Tulsa, Creek, and Osage Counties
