Getting started is easy:
Note: We do not print films, so be sure you’re able to print them yourself.
(Important: Please choose your separation type carefully. The wrong choice could cost you extra. We’re happy to make small
adjustments if needed, but switching to a different separation method will require a new charge.)
• Individual Color Layers: Spot color separations involve creating separate films/screens for each specific color used in the design, ensuring accurate, solid color reproduction with no blending or gradients.
• Opaque Ink Application: Each spot color is printed using its own custom-mixed ink, often with high opacity, allowing for vibrant colors and precise registration, especially on dark garments.
• Blended Color Tones: Simulated process separations use a combination of halftones of spot colors (usually CMYK + additional colors) to mimic full-color images, including gradients and photographic detail.
• Versatile on Dark Garments: This method works well on both light and dark garments by incorporating a white underbase and carefully controlled halftones to reproduce complex images with fewer inks than true process printing.
• CMYK Halftone Printing: 4-color process separations use Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black inks printed in fine halftone dots to create full-color images through subtractive color mixing.
• Best for Light Garments: This method is ideal for printing detailed, photographic images on white or very light-colored garments, as it relies on transparent inks and precise dot registration.
• Pixel-Based Separation: Index color separations convert the image into a limited number of flat, non-overlapping colors using a fixed grid of square pixels, with no halftones or gradients.
• Consistent Print Quality: This method provides sharp, clean prints with minimal dot gain, making it ideal for detailed or low-resolution artwork and consistent reproduction across print runs.
Every design must be color separated before screen printing.
