Rick Profile
Rick Huerta
Fearless Leader

Bio

Rick has been in the apparel industry for 20 years. He started selling shirts while going to college and working full time at Coca-Cola. Being a sculpture major, he realized that after finishing school, being a poor artist or a teacher was not the career path he preferred.

He first started with a 2 head Tajima and kept buying machines. From there, he realized his knack was in production, not in sales. He built J6 designs to be one of the largest apparel printing wholesalers in Southern California.

That led to seeing a hole in the market to streamline costs. If the broker’s artwork is not ready to print, it slows the process for everyone else. CopyArtwork came out of this idea! People should have more control of their artwork files and digitizing. Why be held hostage by someone else? In his mind, your art department should do the creative part, let Copyartwork do the grunt work at a lower cost.

After the success of CopyArtwork, TheClippingpath.com came with ideas of helping users get artwork quickly and efficiently. His latest project, WheresMyjob.com takes that simple phrase a manufacturer gets daily from their customer and puts an online cloud solution to it at a low cost that every user can use.

When he is not thinking of something to design, code, or manufacture, he is enjoying time with his kids or 4x4 with his 86’ FJ60, or building something crazy in the Joshua Tree Area. He enjoys a nice charcuterie board, cashews on pizza (which the office thinks it’s weird) and LOVES a nice Spanish latte. He loves talking about the shirt business, so if you just say a peep, you will not leave the room for a while.

Andrew Profile
Andrew Lewis
Head of Arts & Crafts

Bio

Andrew (aka Prints Charming) has worked in the apparel printing industry for over 15 years and is the head of the art department. Before his comfy office job, his career started in the print shop folding, boxing, cleaning, and doing local deliveries. This is where he found his passion for the apparel printing industry (and knew he wanted to get in the air conditioned office). He earned his degree in graphic design and marketing from Cal State San Bernardino and now plies his trade as a prepress technician and vector artist.

While he's not at work, he can be found at one of the local craft breweries (yeah he's one of those guys). If he's not there, he's probably at the gym (high five bro), or in his happy place, at home on the couch with his wife and two cats (she probably made him say that jk he loves her &the cats are ok too). Andrew is also a big sports fan (both playing and watching, but mostly watching as he's now over 30 and those knees aren't what they used to be).

Most of all Andrew loves referring to himself in the 3rd person, so this was probably written by him...I mean me.
