DIGITIZING PHOTOS
Digitize Photographs, Digitizing Pictures and Graphics
In order to create files that can be created for embroidery purposes, you need to convert your photograph into a digitized photograph which is available through our digitizing photos service. The style, detail, and size of the picture can determine how many stitches are needed in the digitized photo. Stitches can be created and removed based on the spacing between the stitching (stitch density). However, there is a minimum stitch spacing that is needed, and too wide could create small holes in the stitching that shows through to the fabric. On the other hand, you don’t want too little spacing, as there could be an excess of stitches that will bunch up the digitized graphic and possibly ruin the fabric, or cause puckering.
Since our experienced digitizers recreate the photograph in the embroidery software by hand, you simply need to provide an image that they can see clearly for them to digitize the photo in high quality. You can provide digital copies of your physical photograph, photo scans, printed photos, etc. that were created with a flatbed scanner/photo scanners, or by simply taking a digital picture with your phone. The embroidery digitizing department can then digitize the photos for your embroidery machine, using a combination of embroidery patterns, fill stitch, satin stitch, etc.
Small photographs (such as one word text or logos that are no more than 1.5 inches) normally run below 4000 stitches. Here at CopyArtwork.com, we can digitize such photos for embroidery digitizing for $15.00.
