Just a reminder!

You are writing a CURRENT events paper. So, when doing your research, you can effectively set the Publication Year to ensure you are finding resources that are current. Look for the Date filter once you are in Search It All and in the individual databases:

• Topics or events that happened in the last few days/months: check out Newspaper databases or websites
• Topics or events that happened in the last year: The databases Issues & Controversies and Opposing Viewpoints may have more current information
• Health Science (medical), legal or education topics: set date to 5 years
• Other topics: set date to 10 years
• History of topics: take the dates out

NewsBank Special Reports are a quick way to find articles on key issues, events, and monthly themes.  NewsBank’s Special Reports are news articles, images, maps, and other useful content grouped for convenience under specific topics and themes. They enable users to quickly locate information while helping them gain better insight into current global issues and events.
