When will you need to evaluate sources?
There are multiple levels to evaluating your resources
Does your assignment call for academic or peer-reviewed resources?
- For articles, use Search It All or go directly to a database and click on Peer-reviewed
- For books or eBooks, you will need to evaluate the publisher (a university?) and/or the author
- For websites, follow the guidelines in this guide
Does your resource support your thesis statement?
- Read the material carefully to determine if it supports your arguments
