My wife loves this [[Radiohead]] song. Lately they have become too experimental to be truly enjoyable we think, but overall [[The Bends]], where this song is from, is really great.

I’m kind of a moody guy and write kind of depressed songs mostly. But I like to think I am positive and like positive songs and movies and stuff. [[Radiohead]]’s song [[Optimistic (Radiohead song)|Optimistic]] has got one of the most uplifting lines in popmusic I know:

Off their album Amnesiac from 2001, this is a beautiful haunting song, and it moves me a great deal, though I don’t exactly know why. Maybe it is the apocalyptic feel that goes with the clip…
I still get moved a lot by this song, though I am a bit sad I nowadays immediately ‘get’ the rhythm. Before I knew that, this song was a beautiful chaos of which I couldn’t understand how Radiohead played it.
