
Andrew Berdy is the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. He is a career Foreign Service Officer and ICF certified leadership coach. He previously served as long-term acting Deputy Chief of Mission and Management Counselor in Baku, Azerbaijan. He joined the Foreign Service in 2004 and has previously served on assignments to St. Petersburg, Tunis, Ashgabat, Frankfurt, Yekaterinburg, and Chisinau. His foreign languages include Russian, German, Greek, and French.
A native of New Jersey, Mr. Berdy holds a BA in Slavic Languages and Literature from Indiana University, an MA in Theology from St. Vladimir’s Seminary, and an MBA in International Management from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. He has an Executive Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University, and a Certificate in Team Coaching from Brown University.
