Finding Learning Paths

Browse available paths from Learn → Learning Paths. Filter by:

  • Language: See paths for your active languages
  • Level: Beginner (A1-A2), Intermediate (B1-B2), Advanced (C1-C2)
  • Topic: General proficiency, Business, Travel, Academic, etc.
  • Duration: 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 6+ months

Learning Path Structure

Units & Lessons

Paths are organized hierarchically:

  • Path: Complete course (e.g., "Spanish for Beginners")
  • Units: Major topics (e.g., "Introductions", "Food & Dining", "Travel")
  • Lessons: Individual learning sessions (15-30 minutes each)
  • Activities: Videos, exercises, quizzes within each lesson

Lesson Components

Each lesson typically includes:

  1. Introduction: Learning objectives and key vocabulary preview
  2. Video Content: 1-3 videos demonstrating concepts in context
  3. Vocabulary Practice: Flashcards for new words
  4. Exercises: Interactive practice activities
  5. Assessment: Quiz to test understanding
  6. Summary: Review of what you learned

Enrolling in a Learning Path

  1. Browse Learning Paths and click on one that interests you
  2. Review the path description, level, and curriculum outline
  3. Click "Enroll" (some advanced paths require Plus/Pro subscription)
  4. Start the first lesson immediately or schedule for later

🎯 Pro Tip

Choose a path that matches your current level or is slightly easier. It's better to build confidence and complete a path than to struggle with overly difficult material. You can always move to more challenging paths afterward.

Following a Learning Path

Linear Progression

Lessons unlock sequentially:

  • Complete each lesson to unlock the next
  • Pass unit assessments to progress to the next unit
  • Maintain a minimum accuracy (usually 70%) to continue

Flexible Learning

While paths are designed to be followed in order, you can:

  • Skip ahead if you demonstrate mastery in a placement test
  • Revisit previous lessons anytime for review
  • Practice vocabulary and exercises independently
  • Pause your path and resume later without losing progress

Path Progress Tracking

Monitor your progress through:

  • Completion Percentage: How much of the path you've finished
  • Lessons Completed: X out of Y lessons done
  • Time Remaining: Estimated time to complete based on your pace
  • Current Streak: Consecutive days working on the path
  • Mastery Score: Overall accuracy across exercises and quizzes

Path Certifications

Upon completing a learning path, you earn:

  • Achievement Badge: Display on your profile
  • XP Bonus: Large XP reward for completion

Multiple Paths

You can enroll in multiple paths simultaneously:

  • Different paths for different languages
  • General + specialized paths (e.g., conversational + business)
  • Complementary paths (e.g., grammar + vocabulary building)

Manage all your active paths from the Learning Paths dashboard.
