Once a user submits a form, their details sync to Slack in real time so your team can stay updated, respond faster, and keep everything organized.
Before you start: Make sure Contact Form 7 and Essential Addons for Contact Form 7 (PRO) plugins are installed on your WordPress site.
Enable Slack Integration
Before connecting your Slack account with Contact Form 7, you need to enable Slack integration. Follow the steps below to get started:
- Navigate to the Contact Form 7 menu.
- Go to Essential Addons.
- Click the Global Settings tab > Integrations > Slack > Enable Slack Integration.
Configure Slack Settings
Once you activate the Slack Integration toggle, you’ll discover a few other options. This is where you configure your Slack environment and provide the necessary credentials to connect your account.
Here’s what each field means:
- Slack Webhook URL: Enter your Slack Webhook URL to connect your Slack account with Contact Form 7.
How to Get Slack Webhook URL?
To access the Slack Webhook URL and other credentials, follow the steps below:
- Create a Slack App
- Enable Incoming Webhooks (Features > Incoming Webhooks > Activate Incoming Webhooks)
- Create an incoming webhook (Add New Webhook > Select Channel > Click Allow)
- Copy the Webhook URL and paste it in the necessary places.
You’ll be redirected to your app settings, where a new entry will appear under Webhook URLs for Your Workspace. Your webhook URL should look something like this:

Configure Slack Additional Settings
Before collecting & storing necessary information through Contact Form 7 to Slack, configuring additional settings is mandatory. Otherwise, the functionality won’t work as expected.
Follow the guidelines below to configure the settings properly.
- Navigate to Contact Forms to create a new form or edit an existing one.
- Enter Form Name, customize Form Template, and others.
- Navigate to Integrations from Essential Addons for Contact Form 7 settings > Slack > Enable Active Campaign Integration if it’s disabled.
- Enable Slack Integration: Enable/ disable the Slack Integration on Contact Form 7.
- Enable Slack Custom Webhook URL: Enable/ disable Slack Custom Webhook URL Integration on Contact Form 7.
- Enter Slack Custom Webhook URL: Enter your Slack Custom Webhook URL to connect your Slack account with Contact Form 7.
- Enable Slack Custom Message Title: Enable to customise the title of the message that will be sent to Slack. If disabled, the form title will be used.
- Enter Slack Message Title: The title of the message that will be sent to Slack.
Upon submitting the form, the necessary and selected information will start storing inside the selected Slack channel directly from Contact Form 7.
