In SmartCentral, parents or guardians can:

Simply log into SmartCentral using your email address and password. - Accessing SmartCentral Version 2.0
If your service has upgraded to SmartCentral Version 2.0, you can log in using the link: https://www.smartcentral.net/v2/ - New Users
Your service can provide you with a link to create your account. If your service has already set up an account for you, check your inbox (and spam folder) for an email from no_reply@smartcentral.net .
Note: To ensure you receive all notifications, remember to mark it as ‘not spam’.
No. Your Smart Central data is automatically backed up every night and stored in 2 separate, secure locations within Australia. You will never need to remember to do backups again.
No. Upgrades are managed seamlessly by the Smart Central team. Users are notified of major changes without needing to install, download, configure, or read installation instructions, eliminating upgrade concerns.
Yes. You can access Smart Central from any internet-enabled device, work seamlessly from anywhere without data transfer concerns, and even use your iPad for access.
Yes. You can still print Smart Central reports to your local printer.
Smart Central has both ‘on demand’ and ‘scheduled’ options for CCS submission. You can send data immediately or schedule it for after hours, even on days you don’t typically work.
Yes. Your Smart Central data is securely protected with industry-standard measures like passwords, encryption, and firewalls, ensuring only you and Smart Central support staff can access it.
The Smart Central Team provides consistent, interactive, and high-quality support across all versions. They can log in with your permission, assist in real-time, and fix any CCS records, creating a seamless support experience.

No, unless the parent gives out their secure user login and password.
To access SmartCentral, parents need to use their secure user login and password. Other parents have different login credentials, while service staff have existing access.
Payments
We prioritize the security of your card details by using a PCIDSS compliant payment gateway provider, ChildCare EasyPay (CEP), to process payments securely and confidentially. Your card details are never visible to any party, ensuring privacy and security. The payment on your card statement will show as “CHILDCARE PAYMENT CEP AUS BALMAIN”.
No credit card details are stored within Smart Central. Credit card payments are processed using our payment gateway which processes secure transactions.
All major credit cards can be processed. Services can configure which payment options they want to accept.
- Direct Debit
- SmartCentral Click to Pay
- Parents elect to have fee payments directly debited from either a bank account or a credit card.
- Automatic payment records are created in Smart Central, eliminating the need for you to manually enter payments.
- Direct debit transactions are triggered from within Smart Central by you and sent directly to our secure payment gateway for processing.
- Cleared payments are then automatically deposited into your bank account.
Troubleshooting
Please contact support to report any missing child care service or feature. If the service is not registered, they will be invited to join. You will receive updates on your request either way.
Please verify with our service to ensure that we have the accurate email address on record. If everything is in order, please inform our support department.
To troubleshoot email issues:
- Confirm your service has the correct email
- Check spam folder for emails from no_reply@smartcentral.net
- Mark as ‘not spam’
- Add no_reply@smartcentral.net to email contacts
- Send a test email to no_reply@smartcentral.net with ‘Email Test’ in subject and cc support@smartcentral.com.au for investigation. Share the results of the previous steps.
