CERT PROGRAMS
San Luis Obispo (SLO) County Community Emergency Response (CERT) programs train volunteers throughout the county to respond effectively to disasters, building stronger, safer communities.
CERT programs across San Luis Obispo County equip residents with knowledge and practical skills to protect themselves, assist neighbors, and support local emergency agencies. Programs focus on preparedness for earthquakes, wildfires, flooding, tsunamis, and other disasters.
LOCAL PROGRAMS:
SLO County CERT helps create, support, and maintain CERT programs throughout the entire San Luis Obispo County, including:
→ Atascadero: Inland, prone to earthquakes, wildfires, and seasonal flooding.
→ Cambria: Coastal, faces earthquakes, wildfires, flooding, and potential tsunamis. Sponsored by Los Osos Community Services District.
→ Estero Bay: Coastal communities including Morro Bay, Los Osos, and Cayucos; earthquakes, wildfires, tsunamis, and flooding. Coordinated with Morro Bay Fire Department, Cayucos Fire Protection District, and Los Osos Community Service District (South Bay Fire).
→ Paso Robles: Inland, vulnerable to earthquakes, wildfires, and flooding. Sponsored by City of Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services.
