Position Summary

Join the RRC Polytech Students’ Association (RRCSA) as a Student Representative and become a champion for your fellow students! This dynamic role connects you with peers and the SA, allowing you to promote initiatives, enhance campus engagement, and address the unique needs of your regional campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage & Connect: Foster open communication between the SA and your campus by utilizing the student lounge regularly to engage with students and gather feedback to address their concerns.
- Classroom Engagement: Visit classrooms to promote SA initiatives and encourage student participation.
- Promote Initiatives: Actively promote and act as a source of information for all SA programs, services, and events, while rallying students’ support and participation.
- Collaborate for Solutions: Collaborate with student leaders to develop plans that improve students’ experiences and contribute to outreach strategies.
- Supervise Communication Boards: Manage and maintain the poster boards on campus, ensuring information on posters is relevant and appropriate.
- Plan and Assist Events: Organize and execute events that resonate with regional students’ interests. Provide support, including coordination of logistics such as food deliveries, swag, etc. in administering programs like the Breakfast Program, Games Nights, SA visits, and others.
- Facilitate Communication: Act as the point of contact for regional students and assist with questions or issues, ensuring a flow of communication between students and the SA.
- Report & Improve: Provide regular updates on student engagement and evaluate the success of strategies, suggesting improvements as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Must be currently enrolled in a program of minimum one year time-period that covers Student Association Fees at a regional campus.
- Must be able to commit to a total of 10 hours a month between classes (flexible hours), approximately 2 to 3 hours per week.
- Involvement in student organizations or leadership roles is preferred but not required.
- Participation in clubs, sports, or other activities that showcase teamwork and leadership skills.
- Experience with conflict resolution or mediation is an asset.
