How I Lost My Funny Bone


This is a fictional portrayal of how I lost my humor.

So there I was, walking around the side walk of Ideas. Nothing interesting seems to happen around here anymore except for a reported wild hurricane of words coming. It is the first brainstorm this year and Brainland’s serious nerve cells are periodically heading to the groceries and buying supplies.

I couldn’t blame them for their apprehension. Hurricanes here bring serious business. Words can hit about 235 mph and trust me, they hurt.

So for you now, I might appear as stupid. I should be joining the mob and bracing myself. Yes, I am for the majority of the time stupid but I do this regularly. I chase storms.

Admit it, he looks like Harry Potter. If you say he is the real one, you’re actually justifying that he looks like him.

The sun is shining. The birds are singing. Typical factors of a great day, right.

Wrong.

You look around to grasp your surroundings. You see people running and all hell breaking loose. Some appear to have blood dripping from their mouths, fragments of their skin torn. You wonder if the president has legalized cannibalism.

Wrong again.
