Piladay Academy Ethos

A Philosophy of Practice

At Piladay Academy, education is understood as an ongoing process of refinement. Beyond formal instructor training, our continuing education workshops are designed to deepen knowledge, expand perspective, and support the evolving practice of both new and experienced practitioners.

In collaboration with our Korean partners, recent workshops have included specialised masterclasses in golf conditioning and fascia release, bringing together advanced theory movement insight with practical application. These sessions reflect our commitment to introducing progressive methodologies that broaden the scope of Pilates practice and respond to the changing needs of modern movement education.

Continuing Education

The Study Series

Looking ahead, Piladay Academy will continue to develop a considered programme of workshops tailored to every stage of a teaching journey. For newly qualified instructors, these sessions will offer guidance in essential areas such as class planning, cueing refinement, and teaching confidence. For more experienced practitioners, advanced workshops will explore subjects including rehabilitation, conditioning, and specialised movement strategies.

Each workshop is approached with the same philosophy that defines Piladay Academy: thoughtful, precise, and rooted in a deeper understanding of the body. Through continuing education, we create space not only for learning, but for sustained growth in both practice and teaching.

Highlights from The Study Series

Master Kim Garam’s Golf Masterclass explored the relationship between Pilates and golf performance, offering insight into movement efficiency, rotational strength, and functional conditioning tailored to the demands of the sport.

Alongside this, Dr Jang and Master Jin led an in depth Fascia Workshop, examining the role of fascial connectivity in movement, recovery, and rehabilitation, and providing practitioners with a deeper understanding of how the body responds as an integrated system.
