Weight shifted,
Weight lifted,
Then alighted and gone.
Footsteps padding,
So saddening,
You being alone.
Facing demons,
Beyond reason,
They won’t let you be.
Let me help you,
I’ll guide you through,
But you won’t let me.
So I listen,
Teardrops glisten
Falling from my eyes,
Feeling useless,
Being clueless,
Bound by imaginary ties.
I hear you whimper,
Is it not simpler
To share this worrying load?
Talk to me,
Cry, Pray with me,
We’ll walk the same road.
Sheets are cooling,
There’s no fooling
What you are trying to hide,
I am waiting,
Silently hating
Our bed’s empty side.

Very moving poem.
Thank you.
Sometimes those who won’t talk, can’t talk, are protecting you.
You is a blessing to them.
No you, no them.
Forgive their silence it comes with love.
It’s difficult, but understood and respected.
That was sad – tears in my eyes.
Inspiration hits me from the oddest angles sometimes. Don’t cry Puti.
