Welcome to Share Your World.
There are two ways in which you can participate:
Leave your answers to this week’s questions in the comments box below or create your own post and link back to this one.
Ping-backs are activated, but don’t always work properly, so to play safe, leave a link in a comment or if you prefer, leave just the link so that I can see it.
(Instructions on how ping-backs work are found by clicking here. Thanks! )
To make it easy for others to check out your post, title or tag your blog post “Share Your World”.

As always an optional gratitude section is included at the end.

Rub a dub dub………….

Oh boy, were we stiff when we woke up this morning!
Back issues this time and Hubby took a while to get comfy, then found some good music to listen too and slept most of the night. I, on the other hand, woke myself up every time I moved but by putting a pillow behind my back, managed to get some extra support and dropped off again.
Yesterday had certainly taken a toll, but we managed to get some sleep and Maya bless her, didn’t get me up until 5. We went back to bed and I got another couple of hours.

Yellow……….. not a fan

I’m joining in with Debbie’s challenge today and her One Word Sunday.

Yellow is so not my colour. I have horrendous memories of having to wear a yellow crimplene dress with a daisy collar to a cousin’s wedding way back in 1970. Elvis Presley was number one in the charts with The Wonder of You and I had been staying with my grandfather for the week prior to the wedding.

Now if you take yellow in Nature, then that’s a different story and I love it.

Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Prompt: 5th April 2026

Denise aka girlieontheedge is our host and you can find out more HERE.
PROMPT WORD:  RELAY

“I hate to relay bad news, but I’m afraid we are closing your department and will have to let you go.”
Sandra looked at her supervisor, who had never liked her and had always made things difficult, her face not showing the slightest concern at hearing this bombshell.
“Of course there will be a severance package based on your time here, and this will be included in your final pay check at the end of the month.”
Sandra stood and offered her hand.
“Thank you,” was all she said as she turned to leave, but as soon as the door closed behind her, she allowed herself to smile.
She had already been offered a higher position under the new management, and this time next month would be holding the same conversation with her current superior but from the other side of the table.

Song Lyric Sunday: April 5th 2026

Jim Adams is our host and this week the theme is to find a song written or performed by someone who was born in the month of April.

Roy Kelton Orbison (April 23, 1936 – December 6, 1988) was an American singer, songwriter and guitarist known for his distinctive and powerful voice, complex song structures, and dark, emotional ballads. Orbison’s most successful periods were in the early 1960s and the late 1980s. Many of Orbison’s songs conveyed vulnerability at a time when most male performers projected strength. He performed with minimal motion and in black clothes, matching his dyed black hair and dark sunglasses.

Vocal Range

Roy Orbison had a remarkable vocal range that contributed to his unique sound and emotional delivery in music.

Vocal Range Details

  • Lowest Note: F#2
  • Highest Note: E5
  • Total Range: Approximately 2.8 octaves

All good, just DIY-ing

No blogging for me today, so currently pingbacks and comments are still awaiting approval.
Thanks to everyone for taking part in the 3TC and anyone who has commented. I am working on it.

We are having the flooring replaced in the hall, kitchen and lounge on Tuesday, so this weekend is being spent preparing for that and getting rid of the old carpet tiles.
