Music Classes (All Instruments)

Opportunity to learn to play traditional music on a instrument of your choice or further develop traditional technique under the guidance of highly skilled traditional musicians. Classes are provided under the auspices of Craobh Dhun Dealgan CCÉ. Classes are available for whistle, flute, fiddle, concertina, harp, uilleann pipes, button accordion, piano accordion, guitar, mandolin, banjo.

Many of our Teachers have attained their Traditional Music Teaching Diploma (TTCT) and are multi All Ireland medalists in solo / group and band performance. We also encourage pupils of particular standard to participate in the Comhaltas Music Exam System ( Scrudú Ceolta Tíre). Music grade exams are held annually.  

There is opportunity for developing musicians to also participate in Fleadheanna through solo and/or group performance ( as recommended by their music teacher).

A monthly branch session for all members is held at the Oriel Centre on the last Friday of each month. Classes run over 3 terms – Oct – Dec / Jan-Easter / Easter-June
