Music Classes with Craobh Dhún Dealgan CCÉ

Opportunity to learn to play traditional music on an instrument of your choice or further develop traditional technique under the guidance of highly skilled traditional musicians with Craobh Dhun Dealgan CCÉ.

  • Many of our Teachers have attained their Traditional Music Teaching Diploma (TTCT) from Comhaltas and are multi All Ireland medalists in solo / group and band performance.
  • We also encourage pupils to participate in the Comhaltas Music Exam System ( Scrudú Ceolta Tíre)which are accreditted. Exams are held annually in April/May
  • Classes available for whistle, flute, fiddle, concertina, harp, uileann pipes, button accordion, piano accordion, guitar, mandolin, banjo.
  • A monthly branch session is held at the Oriel Centre on the last Friday of each month.
  • An annual celebration night is held in September to acknowledge our members who have engaged with SCT’s / Fleadheanna and to award the Peig Needham Scholarships.
  • Class registrations are held in September each year.
  • Classes run over 3 terms – Oct – Dec / Jan-Easter / Easter-June.
  • All student engaging with classes must be members of Craobh Dhún Dealgan CCÉ
