Bioinventory
While most of the biospecimens NDRI can provide come from prospective recoveries based on researcher-specified criteria, we do maintain a few small bioinventories.
These biorepositories focus on rarer disease specimens that are more challenging to procure prospectively. Our Logistics facility is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) as a biorepository. We maintain compliance with biomaterials handling regulations for storing and shipping samples to approved researchers.

On-Site NDRI Biorepository
Preservations Available: Frozen and/or Fixed samples or whole organs

Surgical Discard Inventory
Preservations Available: Formalin Fixed, Paraffin Embedded blocks (FFPE)

Alzheimer’s Disease/Alzheimer’s Disease-Related Dementia Brain Inventory
Preservations Available: Slides cut-to-order from FFPE brains

Ocular Slide Inventory
Samples in the Inventory: Whole globes from donors with various ocular diseases, such as Macular Degeneration or Glaucoma
Preservations Available: Slides cut-to-order from FFPE and OCT preserved whole globes

LAM-TR Inventory
Preservations Available: Frozen and/or fixed samples
