MeauxData (MoData) is an extension for ArcCatalog that provides a quick and easy way to create metadata. It writes the basics of metadata. Some of its key features are the ability to create templates, stored keywords, a database that stores the names and addresses of departments and data/metadata creators, batch processing, and a visually intuitive help module.
Through using default settings, you can determine which items get written to the templates. When a template is loaded, only the items that have been written to it are loaded. In other words, if you choose to only write the metadata creator to the template then, when you load that template, it only overwrites the metadata creator for the selected data file(s) and leaves previously entered information intact.
