THE SECRET OF THE BURNOUT-PROOF LABOURER
The Crisis of the Exhausted Altar
Beloved, we are seeing an epidemic in the Body of Christ: The Fragile Fire. We see leaders, intercessors, and workers who started with a roar but are now reduced to a whimper. They are "doing" for God, but they are dying inside.
If you are feeling the heavy yolk of weariness, if your service feels like a chore rather than a conduit of glory, listen closely. Today, we are exposing the "Activity Trap" and returning to the Secret Place.
    I. Carnal Activity vs. Spiritual Flow
There is a deceptive thin line between Laboring for God and Laboring with God. One leads to a hospital bed; the other leads to a harvest field.
Carnal Activity (The Ismael Project): This is the energy of the flesh (Psuchikos). It relies on talent, caffeine, organizational skills, and the need for human applause. It is "doing" to get God’s attention.
Spiritual Flow (The Isaac Promise): This is the Zoe life of God surging through a yielded vessel. It is the effortless productivity of a branch that doesn’t "try" to grow grapes—it simply stays attached to the vine.
The Diagnostic Question: Are you working for a finished work, or are you working from a finished work?
II. The Exegesis of the Vine: John 15:5
"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."
In the Greek, "Abide" is Menō. It doesn’t mean a casual visit; it means to dwell, remain, and take up permanent residence. 1. The Source: The branch has no circulatory system of its own. Its life-blood (the Sap) is the Holy Spirit.
    2. The "Nothing" Principle: Jesus didn't say without Him you can only do a little. He said you can do NOTHING. You can build a mega-church, run a food bank, and preach to thousands in the flesh, but in the scales of Eternity, it weighs zero.
    3. The Burnout Buffer: Burnout happens when the output of your activity exceeds the intake of your intimacy.
III. Restoring the "First Love Fire"
The Ephesian church (Revelation 2:2-4) had great works, great patience, and great discernment—but they lost their First Love. They had the "Labour" but lost the "Lord."
    How to Return:
Repent of Self-Sufficiency: Acknowledge that your "busyness" has become an idol that replaced His presence.
The Law of the Sabbath Heart: You must learn to minister to the Lord before you minister for the Lord (Acts 13:2).
Wait on the Lord: Isaiah 40:31 promises an exchange of strength. We give Him our exhaustion; He gives us His "Mount up with wings" energy.
IV. Prayer of Deliverance & Restoration
Father, in the Name of Jesus, I command the spirit of weariness and the "heavy cloak" of heaviness to lift now! I break the curse of the 'Grind' and the 'Hustle' that has invaded the sanctuary of your servants. Lord, I pray for the brother and sister watching whose lamp is flickering. Let the oil of the Holy Ghost be replenished NOW.
I decree a restoration of the First Love Fire. Let their labor no longer be a dry duty, but a saturated flow. Restore the joy of their salvation! In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
    Scriptural Armoury for your Week:
Matthew 11:28-30: The Unforced Rhythms of Grace.
Galatians 6:9: Not growing weary in well-doing (by sowing to the Spirit).
Zechariah 4:6: Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit.
    CALL TO ACTION
THE RE-SET: I want you to comment "I AM ABIDING" as a prophetic decree that you are shifting from carnal activity to spiritual flow.
SHARE THIS: There is a pastor, a worship leader, or a tired mother on your timeline who is ready to quit. Tag them or share this broadcast to throw them a lifeline.

  • A WORD FOR YOU.

Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. Psalm 149:3 KJV.

PRAISE HIM WITH A DANCE. Praise alone is not enough, it should be accompanied with a dance. Your body naturally responds to the content of your heart. Hence, your body should move to the rhythms of your grateful heart and praiseful lips. Every praise or thanksgiving without an expression in a dance move is not complete. You have mentioned his faithfulness, it's time to show it with a dance.

Praise him with the timbrel, instruments and dance. Ps.150:4. ...time to praise and dance. Eccle.3:4. See what you are missing:
Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow. Jer. 31:13. Wow! Don't just praise, praise God with a dance. Stay refreshed!

  • Good morning, brethren.

    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. WEDNESDAY APRIL 29, 2026.
    "JESUS CAN HEAL YOU".

'Jesus saw her...and said, "Dear woman, you are healed of your sickness!"

    Luke 13:12 NLT

THE BIBLE says: 'As Jesus was teaching in a synagogue, he saw a woman who had been …bent double for eighteen years and was unable to stand up straight… He called her over and said, “Dear woman, you are healed”…Then He touched her, and instantly she could stand straight. How she praised God! But the leader in charge of the synagogue was indignant that Jesus had healed her on the Sabbath day’ (vv. 10-14 NLT). Notice three things about this woman: 1) She had a long-term problem. It was a visible condition everyone could see. But many of the people we meet have problems within: situations they’ve wrestled with for years; issues so painful that it causes them to ‘act out’ what’s going on inside them. They need to be handled with care and compassion. 2) No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t straighten up. She had a burden that nobody but Jesus could lift, and she would never be free until He did so. Can you relate? Are you trying to medicate your pain through tireless work, wrong relationships, or mood-altering substances? Have you become so used to your problem that even when you’ve a chance to be delivered, you won’t let it go; it’s like your security blanket? Jesus will set you free if you turn to Him! 3) What she needed was a touch from Jesus. The church she went to couldn’t help her. The pastor actually condemned Jesus for healing her on the Sabbath. Away with powerless religion that has no answers! Today turn to Jesus, by Whose stripes we are healed, within and without.

MD.ii. IS THERE A SAFE SHELTER?

"By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family." - Hebrews 11:7

The only reason Noah was saved from death is because he believed what God said about a flood and the ark (a boat) he had to build.

    How are we saved?

The same way as Noah was saved. We must also believe what God says in His Word: Jesus Christ, His Son, is the only One who can save us from the coming judgment. The flood was an image of this. Jesus Christ is the ark who is able to save us.

The plan to save Noah through an ark came from God Himself. 'Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God… So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out' (Genesis 6:9,14).

We clearly read here that this plan was not a human thought. The plan to save us and secure us in the ark Jesus Christ also comes from God, from Him alone.

He is a wonderful and loving God. He wants to protect those who walk righteously before Him in bad times. It is the great grace of God that He wants to save us from judgment.

All we have to do is:

    1) regret our sins;

    2) repent and obey God;

    3) believe in the truth of the gospel that the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sins.

The people at that time thought Noah was crazy. He was mocked and laughed at.

Noah was saved by believing the Word of God about things not seen yet. In the same way we, based on the Word of God, must believe the Lord Jesus and accept Him as our Savior.

    2. MP.i. Morning Prayer

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. ⏤ Romans 8:15

The greatest privilege of prayer is not what you can get from God, but simply to be with God. ⏤ A.W. Tozer

It is a great comfort, our Father, to always be able to come to You with our needs. It is reassuring to know that You are truly our Father. We understand something of what fatherhood means to a child, and it is wonderful to know that You are our divine Father, not just in name, but in all that a father can be to a child—You are to us, and even more, as Your divinity is greater than humanity. Help us to know You as our Father, to trust in Your fatherly love for us, and in Your fatherly care.

Grant us the spirit of being Your children, the spirit of adoption, that we may look up to You and say, "Abba, Father!" May we be obedient children, doing all that You ask us to do. May we honor You as children are taught to honor their parents. May our commitment and our actions be worthy of You. Let us never do anything that would bring dishonor to You. May Your image be reflected in our lives so clearly and brightly that everyone who sees us will see Your divine fatherly qualities shining through us.

Today, as we go out into the world, we ask that we may indeed go as Your children. We will need Your protection. The world is full of dangers, subtle enemies, insidious influences, and crafty evils. We cannot take care of ourselves—so we ask You to take care of us. Hide us away in the secret of Your presence, from the strife of tongues.

We will need Your sustaining grace for every step of the way—grace upon grace. Just as the flowers cannot live without Heaven's dew, rain, and sunshine—so neither can we live without Your love and strength. Fill us with Your Spirit. Pour Your love into our hearts. Then we will be able to live lives worthy of Your children. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name. Amen.

    Good evening, brethren.

    1. Evening devotion for today.

    ED.i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

    *DATE:*
    TUESDAY 28TH APRIL, 2026.

    *SUB-THEME:*
    THE CROSS: CULMINATION OF GRACE.

    *TOPIC:*
    THE COST OF OUR SALVATION.

    *TEXT:*
    ROMANS 5:8-11.
    8. But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
    9. Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him!
    10. For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!
    11. Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

    *TOPIC:*
    THE COST OF OUR SALVATION.

    *THE MESSAGE:*
Grace is a gift of immeasurable worth that is freely given yet paid for at the highest cost. This divine grace was displayed on the Cross when Jesus gave us His life willingly. He did not wait for us to become righteous or worthy; instead, He died for us while we were still sinners (1 Jn. 49-10). Our salvation cost Him His life. He was beaten, crushed, pierced, mocked, betrayed, deserted, and spat upon. He endured all manner of maltreatment to save us. Painful enough, some believers do not appreciate the extent Jesus went through to save them. As regents of Christ on earth, be ready to face the same humiliation and suffering Jesus went through. Beloved, do not ignore the author of your salvation because He will keep you going in the faith.

    *REFLECTION:*
It cost Christ His life to save you.

    *PRAYER:*
Father, thank You for saving me. Amen.

    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    COLOSSIANS 2:15.
"And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross."

    *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
    2 CHRONICLES 26-28.

    I Thirst..

His are the thousand sparkling rills
That from a thousand fountains burst,
    And fill with music all the hills;
And yet He saith, I thirst.

    All fiery pangs on battlefields;
On fever beds where sick men toss,
And in that human cry He yields
    To anguish on the cross.

But more than pains that racked Him then,
Was the deep longing thirst divine
That thirsted for the souls of men:
Dear Lord! and one was mine.

    O love most patient, give me grace;
    Make all my soul athirst for Thee;
That parched dry lip, that fading face,
That thirst, were all for me.

    Deep Love

How deep our Saviours love for me, how cavernous His thirst for you. The Lord breathed out His life-breath after His final joyous shout:- it is finished, for every jot and tittle of the law had been fulfilled when Christ pleaded:- I thirst.

    Eternal Victory

Every painful step had the goal of His calling in view – the salvation of man. Every moment of His life had been a journey to His final and eternal victory. Sins were forgiven, the power of sin and death broken and Satan was defeated – so that all that believe on Him would not perish but have eternal life.

    Thirsty Love

So many simply look on His thirst at Calvary as a purely bodily need, yet each scene and every word preceding His death contains a depth of meaning. He thirsted for more than soothing water to refresh His pain-racked body. He thirsted for the very souls of sinful men to bring them into union with Himself. His thirsty love yearns so deeply that it stretches throughout eternity – for it is His desire that all should come to repentance and life, in Him.

    Oswald Saunders:

Oswald Saunders put it this way when He wrote: Did He not thirst to be thirsted after? He is still athirst for the fellowship and devotion of those for whom He thirsted on the cross. His was a thirst that could assuage the thirst of the whole world. “I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink,” He said to His surprised listeners. ‘Lord, when saw we Thee athirst and gave Thee drink?” they replied in amazement. “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me.

    Deep Yearning

We can still hold the cup to His lips by going to those who are needy and ministering His name. Sin separates all from God and Christ’s sacrifice is the only way to reconciliation, Jesus Christ yearns after us with a depth of love that we do not understand – yet we have been commissioned to love as He loves – to thirst as He thirsts. But before we can satisfy the need of others, we must first yearn for Him. Before we can satisfy the thirst of others, we must first thirst for Him.

    O love most patient, give me grace;
Make all my soul athirst for Thee.

    2. Evening Prayer for today.

    EP.i. Evening Prayer

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose. ⏤ Romans 8:28

In God's economy, nothing is ever wasted. ⏤ Oswald Chambers

We lift up our hearts to You, O God, at this evening hour. We are grateful for the mercies and blessings of the day. You have kept us from harm. You have provided for our needs, giving us our daily bread and supplying all our necessities. You have prospered us in our work and helped us in our tasks.

We haven't had our way in everything. Some things we desired, we didn't receive. Some plans we weren’t able to carry out. Some hopes we had in the morning weren't realized. We had to take up our cross at times and deny ourselves. But we believe that these difficult things were just as much a part of Your loving plan for us as the things that were pleasant and agreeable. All Your ways are mercy and truth. Whatever form Your will takes, we know it is goodness and love. So we accept the hard things that came to us today with the same confidence and trust as the pleasant things. Help us to say cheerfully and with unwavering faith, "May Your will be done," and may we receive the blessing You have hidden in the painful things.

We leave this day in Your hands now. We will never see it again until we meet it when the books are opened before Your great white throne. We can change nothing we have done. We can’t unsay unkind words we’ve spoken. We can’t correct mistakes, recall unkindness, or take back any evil influence we've put into the world. We can only leave the day with You. You are merciful and gracious. Have compassion on us. Deal gently with the day that is now out of our hands, for Jesus' sake. Amen.

*REFLECTION:* It cost Christ His life to save you. *PRAYER:* Father, thank You for saving me. Amen. *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:* COLOSSIANS 2:15. "And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross." *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:* 2 CHRONICLES 26-28. ED.ii. His are the thousand sparkling rills That from a thousand fountains burst, And fill with music all the hills; And yet He saith, I thirst. All fiery pangs on battlefields; On fever beds where sick men toss, And in that human cry He yields To anguish on the cross. But more than pains that racked Him then, Was the deep longing thirst divine That thirsted for the souls of men: Dear Lord! and one was mine. O love most patient, give me grace; Make all my soul athirst for Thee; That parched dry lip, that fading face, That thirst, were all for me. Deep Love How deep our Saviours love for me, how cavernous His thirst for you. The Lord breathed out His life-breath after His final joyous shout:- it is finished, for every jot and tittle of the law had been fulfilled when Christ pleaded:- I thirst. Eternal Victory Every painful step had the goal of His calling in view – the salvation of man. Every moment of His life had been a journey to His final and eternal victory. Sins were forgiven, the power of sin and death broken and Satan was defeated – so that all that believe on Him would not perish but have eternal life. Thirsty Love So many simply look on His thirst at Calvary as a purely bodily need, yet each scene and every word preceding His death contains a depth of meaning. He thirsted for more than soothing water to refresh His pain-racked body. He thirsted for the very souls of sinful men to bring them into union with Himself. His thirsty love yearns so deeply that it stretches throughout eternity – for it is His desire that all should come to repentance and life, in Him. Oswald Saunders: Oswald Saunders put it this way when He wrote: Did He not thirst to be thirsted after? He is still athirst for the fellowship and devotion of those for whom He thirsted on the cross. His was a thirst that could assuage the thirst of the whole world. “I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink,” He said to His surprised listeners. ‘Lord, when saw we Thee athirst and gave Thee drink?” they replied in amazement. “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me. Deep Yearning We can still hold the cup to His lips by going to those who are needy and ministering His name. O love most patient, give me grace; Make all my soul athirst for Thee. Post navigation Previous Post Previous Father Forgive Proudly powered by WordPress. 2. Evening Prayer for today. EP.i. Evening Prayer And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose. ⏤ Romans 8:28 In God's economy, nothing is ever wasted. ⏤ Oswald Chambers We lift up our hearts to You, O God, at this evening hour. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/23/evening #taptapstudio #youdevotion.

    SERMON TITLE:

“TIME AND PLACE TO RECEIVE GOD’S FAVOR”

There are moments in life when everything changes—not because you struggled harder, not because you planned better, but because you showed up at the right place at the right time under God’s divine arrangement.

Beloved, favor is not random. It is scheduled. It is located. And if you miss the time or ignore the place, you may delay what God has already prepared for you.
    Ecclesiastes 3:1 declares:
"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven."

God works with timing. God moves through places. And when these two align in your life, favor speaks!

    KEY BIBLE VERSES.

    1. Psalm 102:13
"Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come."
This reveals that favor is not accidental—it has a set time. God schedules seasons of mercy and breakthrough.
    2. Esther 5:2
"And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight..."
Esther received favor not in her room, but in the court. There was a place she had to stand.
    3. Luke 19:5
"Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for today I must abide at thy house."
Zacchaeus positioned himself in a tree, and that location became the place of divine visitation.

    STRUCTURED POINTS

    1. Favor Has a Set Time
God’s favor is not always immediate, but it is always intentional.
Joseph waited years in prison, but when his time came, he moved from the pit to the palace in one day (Genesis 41:14).

Truth: Delay is not denial. It may simply mean your set time has not fully arrived.
    2. Favor Is Location-Sensitive
    Where you are matters.

Esther had to appear before the king.
Blind Bartimaeus had to be by the roadside where Jesus would pass (Mark 10:46).
Truth: Some blessings will not meet you where you are comfortable; they meet you where God directs.
    3. Preparation Attracts Favor
When your time comes, you must be ready.

Esther prepared herself before going to the king (Esther 2:12).
David was already skillful before he was called to the palace (1 Samuel 16:18).
Truth: Favor does not reward laziness; it meets readiness.
    4. Discernment Unlocks Favor
You must recognize when your moment comes.
Many missed Jesus because they did not discern their time of visitation (Luke 19:44).
Truth: Spiritual sensitivity helps you not to miss divine opportunities.

    REAL-LIFE / BIBLICAL CASE STUDY

    Case Study: Esther

Esther was an orphan, unknown, and unlikely. But she entered a divine process.
She was taken to the palace (place)
    She went through preparation (process)
She appeared before the king at the right moment (timing)
And in one encounter, she received favor that saved a whole nation.
Lesson: When time, place, and preparation meet, favor becomes undeniable.

    PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS

    1. Stay in God’s Presence
Favor flows from intimacy with God.
    2. Be Spiritually Alert
Pray for discernment to recognize your moment.
    3. Position Yourself Rightly
Go where God is leading—even if it’s uncomfortable.
    4. Develop Yourself
Build your skills, character, and faith.
    5. Be Consistent and Faithful
Your time may be hidden, but it is not forgotten.

    DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS

Favor is not just about blessing; it is about divine alignment.
God does not only bless people—He blesses moments and locations.
Missing divine timing can delay destiny, but alignment restores it.
Sometimes, God uses waiting to prepare you for the weight of favor.

    QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION

    1. Am I spiritually sensitive to discern my season?
    2. Am I positioned where God wants me to be?
    3. What preparations am I neglecting right now?
    4. Have I been impatient with God’s timing?
    5. What step is God asking me to take today?

    POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS

    1. Father, open my eyes to recognize my set time of favor in Jesus’ name.
    2. Lord, position me in the right place for divine encounters.
    3. Every delay assigned against my destiny, be broken now!
    4. Father, prepare me for the favor I am about to receive.
    5. I will not miss my divine moment—by the power of the Holy Ghost!
    6. Let favor locate me where effort has failed.

    CALL TO ACTION

Beloved, your life is not random. God has already prepared moments of favor for you. But you must align yourself.
    Stop wandering—position yourself.
    Stop rushing—trust His timing.
    Stop doubting—prepare for your moment.
Your set time is coming. Your place is being arranged. And when heaven connects the two, your story will change suddenly.

Rise up, take your place, and be ready—
because your season of favor will not pass you by in Jesus’ name!

If you have not given your life to Jesus kindly do so by joining a Bible believing Church.

  • Nothing saddens me more than believers who are devoid of spiritual realities or believe that salvation exempts them from spiritual warfare.

Friend, in which life? Jesus bound Satan like David killed Goliath & availed His power to us. It is now time for you & I to go after the "Philistine army" (demons) through prayer & fasting.

When we fail to do this, we give darkness the upper hand to manipulate & dictate the affairs of our lives and all that surrounds us. In the end, we make God seem weak to the unbeliever when we've failed to take up our positions as enlisted soldiers.

It's time for the church to awaken from this spiritual slumber...

  • God's Self-existence, God's Nature — His Personality, Spirit, Unity, His Triunity (Trinity), The Godhead.

((God's Self-existence)) Another aspect of God's existence is His self-existence. God not only exists, but He is also self-existent. He is not dependent upon anything outside Himself, but the source of His being is within Himself. God lives by His own life, not depending on anything to give Him life. In John 5:26 Jesus said, "For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself." God is the fountain of life. "For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light” (Psalm 36:9). God's nature is "to be." This is seen in His very name. When Moses asked God, "What is your name?" He said, in effect, call me the one who is—call me "I AM." "And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you" (Exodus 3:14).

Although God is the ground of His own existence, this does not mean that He is self-caused or self-originated; for God is eternal—without beginning and without end. The Scriptures declare this very clearly. The significance of this is seen in the fact that this makes God sovereign. Since He is self-existent. He alone is free and independent to do what He chooses, and what He chooses is righteous. All of His decrees, His works, and His plan of salvation are wrought according to His own will and good pleasure. "In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will" (Ephesians 1:11).

God's self-existence also makes Him self-sufficient. He did not create because He needed anything outside of Himself, for God was complete and perfect within Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He created the world as a "theater" for His glory. According to Isaiah 43, Israel was created for the glory of God. "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork" (Psalm 19:1). The Christian has been redeemed so that he might be "to the praise of the glory of his grace" for eternity (Ephesians 1:6). God's self-existence also means that He is the source of life; He has life in Himself. He created man, permitting him to partake of this life and have fellowship with Him, so that man might glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

((God's Nature—His Personality)) The study of God's nature includes His personality, God as Spirit, God's unity and His triunity. The Scriptures re- veal God's personality or the evidence that God is a personal God. This is significant in view of the fact that most of the cults deny His personality, making Him "the absolute," "the source of all things," "the first cause," or a principle like "love." On the contrary, the Scriptures represent God as a personal being, not as a spiritual principle, or mere influence, or power, or immanent in nature as the Pantheists teach. God has the attributes of personality. He is a God who acts, a God who speaks, a God who thinks, a God who decrees and wills things to come to pass.

The God of the Bible is self-conscious. In Exodus 3:14 God's self-consciousness is seen in that He has the ability to say "I AM." This ability shows that one has the power to know himself and the world around him. It is the mark of personality. An animal, for example, lacks this capacity to think or say, "I am, I exist, and this is a world around me." God is also self-determining; and this self-determination is seen in many Scriptures, such as Isaiah 40:13-14 and Ephesians 1:9-11. In Daniel 4:35 the prophet said that God "doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth."

As previously pointed out, God has self-life. He is called the "living God" throughout Scripture, for example, Jeremiah 10:10 and 1 Timothy 3:15. The Scriptures speak of God as a living God, meaning that He is a God who speaks and acts, in contrast to the non-living, non-personal idols or gods that men have made. Life is a requisite for personality. God proves His life by His works and by His activity on behalf of His people.

((God's Nature—Spirit)) God is also Spirit. The Bible does not define God's essential nature except in this one phrase—He is Spirit. "God is Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth" (John 4:24). This means that God is a non-material, invisible, personal being who is not bound by the limitations of time or space. Spirit has no weight, size, or shape, and does not occupy space. A being which has no parts cannot be divided and needs no space. In contrast to man, God is pure Spirit.

Those passages of Scripture that speak of God as having eyes, heart, hands, and ears are called anthropomorphic. Man's vocabulary and understanding are limited to earthly concepts; so God, who is formless Spirit, has revealed Himself in terms which can be understood, as having eyes, ears, heart, and so forth. This does not mean that God is impersonal or that He is a mere figure of speech. God as "person" can feel love and compassion, although He has no heart. The Scriptures say that He has no ears, and yet He can hear; nothing is done that He does not see, though He has no eyes. "A spirit hath not flesh and bones," Jesus said in Luke 24:39. God is all-wise, all-knowing Spirit. He comprehends all things, but the only way finite creatures can comprehend this is by anthropomorphic analogies.

In Isaiah 31:3 God contrasts His nature as Spirit with that which He created, which is flesh. God, as Spirit, is present everywhere at the same moment; however, this does not mean that He cannot manifest Himself in any form at any one place if He chooses. On the contrary, although His Spirit is everywhere throughout the universe and heaven, the Scriptures declare that He sits upon His throne in the heavens and rules with Jesus Christ at His right hand. He sat upon His throne in Israel. He spoke to Moses "from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark" (Numbers 7:89). He seemed pleased, also, to take upon Himself the form of man which He created. "And God said. Let us make man in our image, after our likeness" (Genesis 1:26f.; see also Philippians 2:7).

((His Unity)) Another aspect of God's nature is His unity, which means that God is one. "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord" (Deuteronomy 6:4). This was in contrast to the other nations who had many gods. The full meaning of the oneness of God as stated in the Old Testament must be understood by the Christian in the light of the full revelation, if for no other reason than that Jesus Christ came calling Himself the Son of God. In fact. He said He was God. To say that God is "one" means that He is the only God (Isaiah 44:6-8). It means He is one essence or nature. He is Spirit—one divine Spirit (John 4:24).

To say that God is one does not mean that this one God cannot manifest Himself eternally in three personifications as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In John 10:30 Jesus said, "I and my Father are one," and in John 17 He prayed to the Father. Thus, they are not the same personality, though they are the same God. To say that God is one means that there is a unity of nature, or essence, or being in God. The one God is one Divine Spirit personified eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Modern-day Israel, along with Unitarians and others who deny the deity of Christ, stumble at this truth, confining themselves only to the Old Testament revelation in Deuteronomy 6:4, "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord." But His oneness is a oneness of essence or nature, that is. He is only one God. "I and my Father are one," Jesus said, "he that hath seen me hath seen the Father" (John 10:30; 14:9). Obviously, they are not the same personality, but the same being or nature—God. There is but one God essence, one Divine Spirit. The Jews correctly interpreted the meaning of Christ's words when He said, "I and my Father are one," for they said He had claimed equality with God. He did say that He was one with the Father; but He did not say He was the Father, because He prayed to the Father, and He said that the Father sent Him into the world. If He were the one sent, He could not have been the sender. God's oneness means that He is one essence, one Divine Spirit.

Religious significance should not be given to the number "one" as the Jews and others do who deny the deity of Christ. His oneness is not a mathematical oneness. It is not the number one, but a qualitative oneness. It is a personal oneness, a unique oneness that belongs only to God. There is one Divine Spirit which is God. Monotheism and its emphasis in the Old Testament had its necessary purpose—to guard Israel against idolatry. The Israelites did not philosophize about the oneness of God or the nature of God, nor did they try to reason this out. They did not come to this truth by discovery, but God revealed Himself to them as the one God. Egypt and some other nations were polytheistic, worshiping many gods. His oneness of nature was in contrast to other religions of the day.

There are no other gods, but this does not mean that Christ is not God. Christ and the Father are one—one essence, one being, one nature, one Divine Spirit, but different personalities. God is triune or has tri-personality. "Whosoever denies the Son," Jesus said, "has not the Father." God's unity means the Divine nature is undivided, indivisible, and there is but one infinite and perfect Divine Spirit.

((His Triunity)) (Trinity) The doctrine of the triunity of God logically follows the study of the unity or oneness of the Godhead. The Scriptures show that in the nature of the one God there are three distinct personalities revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The doctrine of the triunity or the triune nature of God is a revelation from His Word and cannot be conceived by observing the created order or general revelation.

Some critics point out that the term "trinity" does not occur in Scripture, which is true; but that does not mean that the doctrine of the trinity or triunity of God is not from the Word of God. There are other words used in theology which are not found in the New Testament, yet they support valid principles. For example, the word "atonement" does not occur in the Greek New Testament. The term translated "atonement" in Romans 5:11 is the Greek word "reconciliation," yet that is the basic doctrine of the New Testament and also the church's message. Even though a term may not occur in Scripture, the principle, the teaching, or the idea may be there, as in the case of the triunity or trinity of God.

The tri personality of God is not tritheism, that is, three separate Gods. There are three eternal personalities—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—but only one divine essence called God. According to Scripture, the three personalities are equal and eternal. There are no earthly analogies to adequately express the truth of the triunity of God. While there have been many attempts to do this, none are adequate. However there is one that is helpful. Think of the Sun as Father and source of the light, and the Son as the essence of light, and the Holy Spirit is what light consists of. All three are distinct. One never exists apart from the other. Light is one with source. Light is a reflection from the source. Light and essence are one with the source. Therefore, it is advisable to take the Scriptures for what they say. God is what He reveals Himself to be in His Word—not what men say He is, not what the Unitarians or the liberals say He is—He is one Divine Spirit, eternally personified as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It should be obvious that if God is not what He reveals Himself to be in His Word, then He is yet unrevealed, and man does not know what He is like.

To find the truth of the triunity of God, the place to begin is where most would probably not look, and that is in the Old Testament. The triunity is not clearly revealed there, yet the Old Testament does lay the foundation for the full revelation which is found in the New Testament. The plurality of the Godhead is suggested in certain passages such as Genesis 1:26. "And God said. Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." Plural pronouns are used there both in the Hebrew and in the English translation. To whom is He speaking? Obviously, to the other personalities in the Godhead. Another suggestion of the plurality of the Godhead is in Genesis 19:24. "The Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven." The Lord on earth, who appeared as an angel, rained down fire from the Lord who was yet in heaven.

There is also an interesting statement in Isaiah 48:16, which is a prophetic passage speaking of the future Messiah. "Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord God, and his Spirit, hath sent me." Notice the triune suggestion. The "me" is the Messiah or the preincarnate Christ who is speaking. The "Lord God and His Spirit" sent the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Certainly this passage is more than a hint about the triune nature of the Godhead!

In the Old Testament the Messiah as God is distinguished from God the Father. This is seen in Isaiah 9:6, 48:16, Zechariah 12:10, 13:7, Psalm 45:6-7, Daniel 7:13-14, Psalm 2. The Old Testament revelation—while it stresses monotheism and the oneness of God—very carefully lays the groundwork for the New Testament doctrine of the triunity of the God-head. The Old Testament stressed the truth that God is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4); but this one God has a Son who is called God, and has a Spirit who is designated as the Holy Spirit and the Spirit of God.

((The Godhead)) God is revealed as the Father (John 6:27), the Son (John 6:69), and the Spirit (Acts 5:3,4,9). These three as the one God are called in theology the "Godhead." There are many erroneous views about the Godhead. Some make God one in the sense that the Father became the Son, and He later became the Holy Spirit. He was the Father in the Old Testament, they say, the Son in the New Testament, and in the church age He is now manifest as the Holy Spirit. While God truly is one, it is not a mathematical oneness; it is qualitative, as was pointed out previously.

There are people who deny the deity of Christ or the personality of the Holy Spirit. They deny that God is three eternal personalities. It has already been stated that God is not what men may say that He is, but He is what He reveals Himself to be in the Scriptures. The Bible clearly shows God to be one Divine essence, one Divine Spirit, who reveals Himself from all eternity as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. There was never a time when He was not Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, nor shall there ever be.

Both the unity and the distinctions in the Godhead are seen throughout the New Testament, and certainly they are suggested in the Old. The distinction between the Divine personalities in the Godhead can be seen in such passages as John 3:16 and Galatians 4:4, where the Father sent the Son into the world. The Father, Son, and Spirit are distinguished in John 15:26 where Jesus said that after He had returned to heaven. He and the Father would send the Holy Spirit. The unity of the Godhead is seen in Ephesians 4:4-6. "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism. One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." There the Spirit, the Lord Jesus, and God the Father are distinguished, but it says clearly that they are all one. See these verses for another example showing this truth. Matthew 3:16-17. “When He had been baptized, JESUS came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the SPIRIT OF GOD descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice from heaven(FATHER), saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

The Scriptures also show two truths regarding the revelation of the Godhead. Since God is one, there is no real distinction between having God with man, having Christ in man, or having the Holy Spirit indwelling man, because the three are one God. This fact can be seen in John 14:15-26. The Scriptures also differentiate between the three personalities. The Father is the source or the ground of all things (1 Corinthians 15). The Son is the Creator and Redeemer (Colossians 1). The Holy Spirit is the agent of all life, both in the creation of the world and in the regeneration of the sinner. Edited. Shared.

❤️ God's Self-existence, God's Nature — His Personality, Spirit, Unity, His Triunity (Trinity), The Godhead. ❤️ ((God's Self-existence)) Another aspect of God's existence is His self-existence. ❤️ ((God's Nature—His Personality)) The study of God's nature includes His personality, God as Spirit, God's unity and His triunity. In Daniel 4:35 the prophet said that God "doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth." As previously pointed out, God has self-life. ❤️ ((God's Nature—Spirit)) God is also Spirit. ❤️ ((His Unity)) Another aspect of God's nature is His unity, which means that God is one. ❤️ ((His Triunity)) (Trinity) The doctrine of the triunity of God logically follows the study of the unity or oneness of the Godhead. "Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord God, and his Spirit, hath sent me." • ONE TO MANY EXCUSES

    Scripture: Luke 14:16-35

    1. The world is full of excuses today.

    • We can't control our kids. (Because we don't discipline them)
    • We have to work all the time. (Because we buy too much)
    • My marriage is falling apart, my wife/husband won't go to church with me (How did you make your bed)
    • We don't have enough money. (are you paying your tithes, and offerings into YHWHs store house? are you working? are you buying things you shouldn't)
    • I just can't live for YHWH, there is too much pressure, (separate yourself from the world, you can't serve two masters)

    2. We could go on and on with excuses because today everyone has excuses, nobody wants to have any responsibility today so we make excuses.

    • Excuses never get anything done.
    • Can you imagine how tired of excuses YHWH gets.
    • Today let’s look at three excuses that can literally keep you out of heaven.

Jesus said this about excuses: (Luke 14:16-18)

    3. This parable is actually talking about the marriage supper of the lamb, when all the saints of YHWH will sit down in heaven with YHWH and have a supper to celebrate the reunion of YHWH and man.

    • It doesn't get any more important than this, there is nothing greater, or bigger this is the ultimate thing we could ever do but still there is excuses.
    • Let’s look at these excuses.

    I. First Excuse (Worldly Cares) (Luke 14:18)

    • This person is more interested in a piece of ground then he is in the kingdom of YHWH. Can you even imagine any one being that stupid. Hello
    • Worldly cares had become more important to this person than all the blessings of heaven.
    • You know that there are people today that are trading all the blessings in the Kingdom of YHWH for things on this world. Things they can gain from this world.
    • But I must take care of my family, I can't get involved with YHWH or the Church I have responsibilities in this world.

Let’s look at what the Bible says about this. (Mat 6:31-33)

    A. In fact the Bible even takes it further:

(Mat 13:22 KJV) He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

(Luke 21:34 KJV) And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

    B. We can become so engulfed in this world that we lose what is most important to us and that is YHWH.

    C. As the scripture says (Mat 13:22 KJV) He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. We even stop serving YHWH because we have so many other things to do in this world and not in the world, we should be worrying about YHWHs world in the Kingdom of YHWH.

II. Second Excuse (Business Cares) - (Luke 14:19 KJV)

    A. A lot like worldly cares but an added component making money.

    B. Some people when It comes to making money everything including YHWH comes second.

    C. I can't be a father because I have to make money, I can't do anything for YHWH because my business must go on, I can't go to church because I am making money.

    D. It's all in vain: (Psa 39:6) Surely every man walketh in a vain show: surely, they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.

    E. When your dead and gone someone else will enjoy your labors.

    F. The bible tells us that only what's done for YHWH will last. You know once your family is grown it’s too late to be that father you should have been, once your old and can't even walk it’s too late to do great exploits for YHWH. Now is the time to do those things.

    G. YHWH expects us to work and support our family, but he also talks about trying to have more than we should:

(Eccl 5:12 KJV), (Luke 12:16-20), (Luke 12:20 KJV)

    A. YHWH has prepared the great marriage supper for us but some people are just too caught up in their own business affairs to come:

    (Mat 22:4-5)

III. Third Excuse (Family Cares) - (Luke 14:20 KJV)

    A. People don't come to YHWH because of other people and even worse there are people that won't serve YHWH even when they know themselves, they should because of a husband or wife or even children.

    B. YHWH makes a strong statement here in (Luke 14:26)

    C. YHWH is talking about choosing, if our family stands between us and YHWH who will you choose?

    D. YHWH is saying that if you choose family over him then you can't be his disciple.

    E. He's not saying we are not to love our families and take care of them, but we are to serve him whether they like it or not. Even if it means losing them.

    F. Sometimes we become engulfed in our own little family and what we are doing as a family, that we are so busy taking care of all the things that come up we never have time to serve YHWH. You can have the most fantastic home, be involved with little league, boy scouts, 4H, band, etc. And never have time to spend with Jesus or spend working in the Kingdom of YHWH.

    a. I know what it’s like to have small kids and work for YHWH, so don't tell me you can't do anything because of your kids or family.

    b. Bible talks about a woman that was so busy she was missing that greatest things Jesus. (Luke 10:38-42)

IV. Fourth Excuse (Refusing to carry the cross) - (Luke 14:27)

    • Caring the cross it the ultimate sell out to YHWH, and with it comes many excuses.

    • But excuses won't cut it at the cross, either you’re in or your out.

    • Jesus goes on to tell us we need to count the cost of carrying the cross because it will cost something. Yes, serving YHWH is going to cost you something.

    1. Cost you your sin.

    2. Cost you your worldliness

    3. Cost you your self

    (Luke 14:33)

BUT IF YOU’RE WILLING TO QUITE MAKING EXCUSES AND MAKE YOUR MIND TO SERVE THE LORD, YOU WILL BE IN THAT GREAT MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB, SITTING WITH JESUS CHRIST AND INJURING ALL THE BLESSINGS OF HEAVEN SOME DAY, WHICH BY FAR IS GREATER THAN ANYTHING THIS WORLD HAS TO OFFER.

DON'T SETTLE FOR A BOWL OF POTTAGE ON THIS EARTH WHEN YOU CAN HAVE ALL THE GREATEST THAT YHWH HAS TO OFFER.

    Closing:

    • There is a real danger with excuses they can keep you out of the kingdom of YHWH.

    • They will cause you to lose out of your blessings and with YHWH.

    • They don't get anything done for the kingdom of YHWH; they don't save one soul they don't help out in the church they don't feed you spiritually there just excuses.

    • It cost to serve YHWH and we have to make up our minds if we really want to serve him or make another excuse.

YHWH IS ASKING YOU TODAY WILL YOU COME TO THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB? WHAT IS YOUR RESPONSE?
ONE TO MANY EXCUSES Scripture: Luke 14:16-35 1. The world is full of excuses today. • We can't control our kids. (Because we don't discipline them) • We have to work all the time. (Because we buy too much) • My marriage is falling apart, my wife/husband won't go to church with me (How did you make your bed) • We don't have enough money. Hello • Worldly cares had become more important to this person than all the blessings of heaven. • You know that there are people today that are trading all the blessings in the Kingdom of YHWH for things on this world. Things they can gain from this world. • But I must take care of my family, I can't get involved with YHWH or the Church I have responsibilities in this world. Let’s look at what the Bible says about this. (Mat 6:31-33) A. In fact the Bible even takes it further: (Mat 13:22 KJV) He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. II. Second Excuse (Business Cares) - (Luke 14:19 KJV) A. G. YHWH expects us to work and support our family, but he also talks about trying to have more than we should: (Eccl 5:12 KJV), (Luke 12:16-20), (Luke 12:20 KJV) A. YHWH has prepared the great marriage supper for us but some people are just too caught up in their own business affairs to come: (Mat 22:4-5) III. Third Excuse (Family Cares) - (Luke 14:20 KJV) A. People don't come to YHWH because of other people and even worse there are people that won't serve YHWH even when they know themselves, they should because of a husband or wife or even children. B. YHWH makes a strong statement here in (Luke 14:26) C. (Luke 10:38-42) IV. Fourth Excuse (Refusing to carry the cross) - (Luke 14:27) • Caring the cross it the ultimate sell out to YHWH, and with it comes many excuses. • But excuses won't cut it at the cross, either you’re in or your out. • Jesus goes on to tell us we need to count the cost of carrying the cross because it will cost something. Yes, serving YHWH is going to cost you something. 1. Cost you your sin. 2. Cost you your worldliness 3. Cost you your self (Luke 14:33) BUT IF YOU’RE WILLING TO QUITE MAKING EXCUSES AND MAKE YOUR MIND TO SERVE THE LORD, YOU WILL BE IN THAT GREAT MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB, SITTING WITH JESUS CHRIST AND INJURING ALL THE BLESSINGS OF HEAVEN SOME DAY, WHICH BY FAR IS GREATER THAN ANYTHING THIS WORLD HAS TO OFFER. DON'T SETTLE FOR A BOWL OF POTTAGE ON THIS EARTH WHEN YOU CAN HAVE ALL THE GREATEST THAT YHWH HAS TO OFFER. Closing: • There is a real danger with excuses they can keep you out of the kingdom of YHWH.
