• Good evening, brethren.

    1. Evening devotional for today.

    i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

    *DATE:*
    THURSDAY 23RD APRIL, 2026.

    *SUB-THEME:*
    THE CROSS: CULMINATION OF GRACE.

    *TOPIC:*
    GRANTS ACCESS TO GOD.

    *TEXT:*
    MATTHEW 27:50-54.
    50. And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, He gave up His spirit.
    51. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split
    52. and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.
    53. They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people.
    54. When the centurion and those with Him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely He was the Son of God!”

    *TOPIC:*
    GRANTS ACCESS TO GOD.

    *THE MESSAGE:*
The veil in the temple separating the Holy of Holies from the rest of the sanctuary did not allow worshippers to access God's presence. Only the high priest entered once a year on the Day of Atonement. The death of Jesus broke this barrier, removing the separation between God and the people. Therefore, through Christ's death, access to God is now open to all believers without restriction (read 10:19-20). The bodies of the saints coming out of the tombs show Christ's power over death and the grave, assuring believers of resurrection into God's eternal presence. Today, only sin can separate man from God.
Do you desire to be in God's presence?
Then, avoid the deeds of darkness.

    *REFLECTION:*
Jesus' death gives access to God.

    *PRAYER:*
Thank You, Father, for opening the door to Your presence. Amen.

    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    COLOSSIANS 2:15.
"And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross."

    *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
    2 CHRONICLES 10-12.

    ii. BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS

"It is good for me that I was troubled, so that I might learn Your Law." - Psalm 119:71

What gospel is this that says it is good to be troubled? And all this for one purpose: 'so that I might learn Your Law.' The Lord God wants to teach us time and again to trust in Him. Psalm 34:18 says: 'The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.'

God wants us to learn from our problems and difficulties. He is a God who loves His children and wants to be involved in our difficult circumstances. When we understand how God repeatedly delivered His people from trouble, we will also acknowledge that God will deliver us from ours.

1 Corinthians 10:11 says: 'These things happened to them as examples for us. They were written down to warn us.'

God wants to save us the same way He delivered His people. Exodus 3:7 says: 'The Lord told him: I have certainly seen the oppression of My people in Egypt. I have heard their cries of distress because of their harsh slave drivers.' Isn't this a great consolation? God knows what we are going through. He knows our feelings, pain, sadness and struggle!

You can do whatever you want to save yourself, but in the end, you will have to acknowledge that God is the only One who can help you! Does this mean we do not struggle? On the contrary! We must have faith and trust in God. Difficulties should bring us closer to God and not further away from Him. Tribulation teaches us to pray and to call upon God. God loves us and He is full of compassion.

Isaiah 63:9 says: 'In all their distress He too was distressed.' Dear reader, as we begin to cry to God in our tribulation, He begins to work on our deliverance. Keep courage and trust God. He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine!

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
    2Corinthians 5:21

    Dead in Sin

We are not sinners because we sin. We sin because we are sinners. When I first heard this saying I pondered it, to get it deep in my heart. My pride wants to say I am a good person, but God sees me as I am – a sinner. Born dead in trespasses and sins. Born with an inherent sin nature. Born in enmity with the Father. Born in desperate need of a Saviour.

    Federal Head

Adam, created in God’s image, was authorised to rule the earth righteously, for God breathed into him the breath of lives – a living body, soul and spirit. Commissioned as the federal head of mankind, his was the responsibility. Together with Eve, he was created to rule under the God’s righteous authority – and Adam walked in the garden and had sweet fellowship with his God and Lord. God’s Spirit and man’s spirit fellowshipping together – Spirit to spirit communion.

    Man’s Choice

Adam was given one command and a freewill to choose to obey or elect to rebel. His beloved wife was deceived by the serpent – questioning the truth of God’s Word. But as the authorised leader under God’s authority, it was Adam’s responsibility – and Adam choose to join her in sin, and fellowship with his Lord was severed.

    Sin Nature

Adam chose to disregard God’s word of truth, which is rebellion against God, but the day of his disobedience was the day man’s sin nature became a reality – for the seed of the man became tainted with sin and his progeny are tainted with sin. We are not sinners because we sin – we sin because we are sinners. We sin because we are born of Adam’s sinful seed, dead in sins – estranged from God.

    Eternal Separation

The federal head chose to sin, unaware of the eternal consequence of his choice, for the wages of sin is separation and so all his seed were condemned to damnation. Adam was created for fellowship with the Lord but sin separated his spirit from God. And such would have been the fate of all humanity if God had not designed salvation. His perfect, unblemished, sinless Lamb was slain from the foundation of the world.. so that Adam and his fallen race could be reunited in spirit with God – by faith.. faith in the Seed of the woman, not faith in any of the fallen progeny of Adam – salvation in the Son of Man.. not salvation by any other man or means or method.

    Rescue Strategy

We are not sinners because we sin – we sin because we are a race of sinners. But God ordained a new race, a new man, a new creation, a new federal head. God planned for a second Adam; an obedient man having Holy Spirit to human spirit communion. God decided a rescue strategy – to redeem Adam’s fallen race from all condemnation – but there was no man to stand in the gap for all have sinned and all fall short,

    Sinless Sacrifice

God alone is good – so God alone could save – but God is Sprit and man is flesh, and only a perfect Man could reach God on behalf of sinful, sin-infected man, Only a perfect Man would be sufficient to satisfy God’s righteous requirement. Only a sinless sacrifice, willing to die for His people, could pay the price for sin.. so God took on human flesh so man could be clothed in God’s righteousness. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf – so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2Cor5:21

    God-Man

God made the Lord Jesus Christ, Who was the second person of the eternal Trinity, to come in the likeness of human flesh, through the pure Seed of the fallen woman. God, Who alone is righteous became the only righteous man that ever lived, for the rest of humanity are sinful, sin-infected people. He alone was the only One Who could pay the price for sinful, sin-infected man and the many sins that each sinful man committed. And so the One who knew no sin – the One Who did not sin, HE BECAME SIN on our behalf, and the wrath of God was poured out on Him in full measure – upon that sinless God-Man, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2Cor.5:21

    2. Evening Prayer for today.

    i. Evening Prayer

Because thou hast made the LORD, [which is] my refuge, [even] the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. ⏤ Psalm 91:9-10

In the darkest times, we can rest knowing that God is our refuge and fortress. ⏤ Charles Spurgeon

As the day ends, we come to You, Father, to hide ourselves away for the night in the secret place of the Most High, and to rest through the darkness under the shadow of the Almighty. O God, You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust. You will deliver us from the traps of the enemy and from deadly dangers. You will cover us with Your wings, and under Your wings of love, we will find refuge. Your truth will be our shield and protection. We won’t be afraid of the terror of the night, or the arrows that fly by day, or the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, or the destruction that strikes at noon. None of these dangers can harm us. Even if a thousand fall at our side and ten thousand at our right hand, the peril won’t come near us.

You, Lord, are our refuge. Because we have made You, O Most High, our home, no evil will come upon us, no plague will come near our dwelling. You will command Your angels concerning us, to guard us in all our ways. They will lift us up in their hands, so we won’t even strike our foot against a stone. We will tread on the lion and the cobra without harm; we will trample the great lion and the serpent underfoot.

Because we have set our love on You, You will deliver us from all danger. You will be with us in trouble; You will deliver us and honor us. With long life, You will satisfy us and show us Your salvation.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

  • Good morning, brethren.

    1. Morning devotion for today.

    i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY THURSDAY APRIL 23, 2026.
    "AN ENCOUNTER WITH GOD"

'.......I saw the Lord sitting on a throne…’  Isaiah 6:1 NKJV

ISAIAH DESCRIBES a life-changing encounter he had with God at the start of his ministry: ‘…I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up…Above it stood seraphim…And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!” And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of Him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke. So I said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King”…Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal…from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your iniquity is taken away, and your sin purged.” Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” And He said, “Go, and tell this people”…’ (Isaiah 6:1-9 NKJV). An encounter with God always brings three things: 1) A sense of His holiness and our lowliness. 2) An acknowledgment of our inadequacy. 3) Humility, and a hunger for more of Him. The wear and tear of daily life dulls the sharp edge of our spiritual sensibilities. And measuring our holiness by those around us just lulls us into thinking we’re living a committed life when we’re not. So God calls us to an encounter with Him to cleanse us, empower us, and send us out to fulfil His purposes.

    2. Morning Prayer for today.

    i. Morning Prayer

A Prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou Art Dialog God. ⏤ Psalm 90:1-2

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. ⏤ Martin Luther

Lord, You have been our dwelling place through all generations. From everlasting to everlasting, You are God. We want to make You the home of our hearts. We aren’t truly at home in this world because it isn’t secure. Everything here passes away. The mountains may crumble, and the hills may disappear. Our souls are immortal and can’t find a lasting home on this earth—no place where they will be sure of undisturbed rest forever. Only You are enduring and eternal, and only in You can our souls find a home, a refuge of love that will last forever. Help us to make our home in You.

We thank You for our earthly home. We thank You for the love that binds us together, for the refuge we find here from the world’s hostilities. Here we can trust each other and be sure of each other’s love. Deepen our home affections. Draw us closer together as a family. Make our home life sweeter. Help us to be more supportive of each other. Teach us patience as we live together. Help us see the best in each other and give the best of our love to one another.

May our home life today be tender and affectionate. Fill us with Your divine love so that our hearts and lips will overflow and that everything lovely will grow within us. You know our special needs, and we ask for personal blessings. Forgive us all our sins. Comfort us in our sorrows.

Give us a blessing now as we go out into the world. May we live in such a way that we are constantly receiving from Jesus and then giving out the good things of divine love. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/18/morning #taptapstudio #youdevotion.

  • Good morning brethren.

    1. Morning devotion for today.

    i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. WEDNESDAY APRIL 22, 2026.
    "YOU CAN OVERCOME YOUR FEARS"

‘When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.’  Psalm 56:3 NLT

IS FEAR causing you to hide from somebody today? Your boss? Your husband or wife? Your strong-willed child? Your grouchy co-worker? When God asked Adam, ‘…“Where are you?”, he replied, “I hid…I was afraid”…’ (Genesis 3:9-10 NLT). And we’ve all been hiding from things ever since. We hide behind forced smiles, agreeable words we don’t mean, and social rituals we detest. Or worse, we hide behind things we do believe but don’t express because we are afraid of what people might think or say. We try to avoid the pain of confronting someone, and the emotional energy we’re afraid we’ll have to invest in cleaning up afterwards. Short-term it may be easier to act as if things don’t bother you, or pretend to agree when, in reality, you disagree. But long-term it doesn’t work, because peace isn’t the absence of discord. When we remain silent in order to avoid confrontation, we just end up avoiding something far more important: relationships. For example, when we don’t speak up on the job because we fear making waves, we end up resentful, alienated from our fellow workers, and maybe losing an opportunity to make things better. When we’re afraid to confront our marriage partner (and this should be done in love, not anger), we end up emotionally distant. When we refuse to share our faith because we’re afraid of being ridiculed, we lose the opportunity to bring hope to someone who really needs it. So rise up and say, ‘When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You’. Confront your fears, come out of hiding and start living.

    ii. MUTINY

"They came as a group to oppose Moses and Aaron and said to them: You have gone too far! The whole community is holy, every one of them, and the Lord is with them. Why then do you set yourselves above the Lord's assembly?" - Numbers 16:3

Mutiny is when a group of people revolt against the authority of a person and try to take over.

It is dangerous when a spirit of dissatisfaction arises. Everywhere there are things you might not agree with. You just need one person who proclaims himself the leader to stir up trouble. Although many lack the courage, they will easily join the person who starts to rebel. To lead mutiny, you have to be smart and determined. The evil one is the master in leading mutiny!

Korah, Dathan and Abiram wanted to convince the people of Israel that Moses and Aaron wished to rule over them. However, God had appointed Moses and Aaron. When they argued with Moses and Aaron, they were arguing with God Himself. The motive for such people is always the desire to take charge.

But that is not necessary at all, because 1 Corinthians 12:18 says: 'God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as He wanted them to be.' God gives everyone his place to build the church in faith.

To rebel against the servant of God is to rebel against God's authority. A true servant of God always gives such people in the hands of God. Moses fell on his knees when he heard their rebellious speech. He said to them: 'In the morning the Lord will show who belongs to Him and who is holy, and He will have that person come near Him' (Numbers 16:5).

It is terrible what happened there. God dealt with the three rioters, their families and with 250 other leaders.

It is foolish to exalt yourself before God, for He opposes the proud, but shows favor to the humble.

    2. Morning Prayer for today.

    i. Morning Prayer

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. ⏤ Revelation 3:20

If we would understand the potential power of our homes, we would fall on our knees and ask God to make our homes sanctuaries of peace and love. ⏤ E.M. Bounds

Our Father, we thank You for our home. Many people in this great world are homeless and lonely. You have given us a home with many comforts. We are grateful for it and pray that Your blessing may be upon our home life.

We thank You, Jesus, that You are willing to be a guest in our home. We remember how You blessed and brought joy to the home in Bethany when You were on earth. May You make our home Your dwelling place, just as You did with Martha and Mary. May Your peace rest upon our home. Help us to make our family life sweet and beautiful, pleasing to You, and comforting to You when You come to stay with us. Let us never grieve You with selfish behavior, quarreling, or strife.

Help us to offer You true hospitality, not just within our doors, but also within our hearts. We want to welcome You into every part of our lives, shutting You out of no room—letting You dwell in us fully and completely so that all our life may feel Your influence and be blessed by Your Spirit and love. We want to become like You, and we know we can only do that if You live in our hearts and pour Your grace through every part of our being.

As we go out now to face the experiences of this new day, we place our hands in Yours, asking You to lead us and guide us. You have promised that as our days are, so shall our strength be. You know what this day holds for us and what strength we will need; may You provide what we need as each moment comes.

We ask for these mercies and favors in Your blessed name, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

    31 Days To A Stronger Marriage – Day 30
    Books for Healthy Relationships
‘May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ.’ 2 Thessalonians 3:5(NLT)

Your marriage won’t be defined by the size of your struggles but by the size of your commitment to overcome the struggles together.

Couples who make it work “til death do us part” aren’t the ones who never had a reason to get divorced. They’re simply the ones whose love and perseverance was always stronger than their reasons for quitting. Those two ingredients (love and perseverance) might be the two most powerful forces in a marriage. If you remain steadfast in your love for each other and unshakeable in your commitment to each other, your marriage will never fail!

Reflection: Are both love and perseverance at the heart of our marriage?

The power of the Lord was present to heal.
    John 5:17

He could not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
    Matthew 13:38

    Power to Heal

What a glorious truth that “the power of the Lord is present to heal.” But there was a place where His power to heal was not a present help in trouble. There was a place where He could not help them – because of their unbelief.

    He Healed All

He was never unwilling to give, for over and again we read, He healed them all Matt.12:15. We read in Luke chapter 4 that, when the sun was setting, ALL those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them” Luke 4:40

    Almighty Power

God’s arm is not short. His heart is not cold – His power is not diminished.. for His healing touch comes through the almighty power of the almighty God – but He could not do many mighty works there.. because of their unbelief.” Matt.13:58 How sad –

    Rich Blessings

God desired to pour out health and healing – but their foolish bias prevented Him. Their proud hearts were tightly shut against the rich blessings He brought.. hardened against Him, because of familiarity with Him! He desired to pour out on them healing and wholeness, but they dismissed Him. He came with rich blessings in His hands but carried them away with a sad heart.

    The Open Heart

The heart that is open to His presence will gladly partake of all His grace and love. Some even are sufficed to gather the crumbs that fall from the tables of others: “For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance, but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.” Luke 19:26

    Abundant Blessings

Oh yes, He will give abundantly and He will give more abundantly – pressed down, shaken together and running over. Luke 6:38 There is never any lack of power to save – nor any lack of blessings to receive, yet we may be near to Him, and miss out on the blessings He is wiling to bestow – for hardness of heart..

    Prevented by Unbelief

He may approach us, desiring to impart rich gifts of strength, comfort and joy. He may come bearing gifts of wholeness and health; wisdom, love and help, and yet He may be prevented by unbelief – as He was that time so long ago, “He came unto His own and His own received Him not…” John 1:11

    Channels of Blessing

We ourselves must be in a position to accept that which He comes to bring. We also must be in a condition to receive all that He comes to give – to welcome His gifts through whatever channel He chooses to send them. We too can close our hearts to Christ and keep His blessings outside our lives.. for weak as we are, divine Omnipotence will never compel His blessings upon us. There must be a willingness to receive. There must be a heart open to His tender advances.

    Hearts of Unbelief

It is often because of unbelief, that God’s power is prevented from working within. He is able and He is willing and He is ever present to help in time of need.. but He will never force us to accept His gifts. That choice is ours and ours alone. “How often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and yet ye would not!” Luke 13:34

    Willing Hearts

I wonder how many blessings we have forgone because of our unbelief. May our hearts be ever open to hear His voice. May our hearts be willing to receive the blessings He wants to give.

    2. Evening Prayer for today.

    i. Evening Prayer

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. ⏤ Psalm 4:8

Prayer is the nearest approach to God and the highest enjoyment of Him that we are capable of in this life. ⏤ Jonathan Edwards

Now, at the end of the day, our Father, we come back to You. You’ve heard our prayers. You’ve kept us from harm. You’ve blessed us in many ways. We thank You for all the blessings we’ve had today, for the health and comfort we’ve enjoyed. We now bring all that we’ve done today to Your feet. Whatever has pleased You—please accept and bless. The things we’ve done that didn’t please You—we ask for Your forgiveness and for You to cleanse our hearts from sin. The efforts we’ve made to help or comfort others—please accept and use them. We’ve tried to be cheerful in difficulties and discouragements. We thank You for the strength You’ve given us to endure. If we’ve cast shadows on anyone’s life today by fretting or discontent, we ask for Your forgiveness. We’ve tried to speak kind words to those we’ve met, and we ask You to use those words to bring cheer and courage.

Now, as the day ends and darkness surrounds us, we ask You to shelter us. You are our keeper. You never sleep. We will be safe through the night because You will be watching over us.

We don’t forget our friends. Some are far from us, but all are close to You. Some of our friends may be in trouble. Some may be in great need. Some may be near death. You know all their dangers and needs; please give each of them the blessing that will do them the most good. Remember the homeless and the lonely tonight.

Receive us now into Your care, keep us through the night, and bring us to the morning light if it is Your will. If not, bring us to Heaven’s morning, which is far better. We ask in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.

  • Good evening, brethren.

    1. Evening devotion for today.

    i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

    *DATE:*
    TUESDAY 21ST APRIL, 2026.

    *SUB-THEME:*
    THE CROSS: CULMINATION OF GRACE.

    *TOPIC:*
    THE HEART OF THE GOSPEL.

    *TEXT:*
    1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-4.
1 Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, and in which you stand firm. Gal 1:11 [Rom 5:2]
2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. Rom 1:16 1Co 1:21
3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, Isa 53:7 Dan 9:24 Dan 9:26 1Co 5:7 1Pe 2:24 [Isa 53:5]
4 that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, Psa 16:10 Psa 16:10 Isa 53:8 Isa 53:9 Jon 1:17 Mat 12:40 Mat 12:40

    *TOPIC:*
    THE HEART OF THE GOSPEL.

    *THE MESSAGE:*
The Cross is central to the message of the Gospel. Without the Cross, the gospel message becomes ineffective. Christ died for our sins, buried and resurrected for our salvation. So, those who believe in Christ as Lord and Saviour must take an absolute stand on this truth. Paul cautioned the Galatians about the danger of turning to a different gospel, which is no gospel at all. That anyone who preaches a gospel other than the Gospel of the Cross is cursed (Gal. 1:6-8). Do not scorn the Gospel of Christ because of the Cross, which some feel is a sign of weakness. It may look like a defeat, but it is the means of victory over sin and Satan. Believe and stand firmly and preach the Gospel!

    *REFLECTION:*
Preach the Gospel of the Cross.

    *PRAYER:*
Lord, help me to preach the Gospel boldly. Amen.

    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    COLOSSIANS 2:15.
"And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross."

    *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
    2 CHRONICLES 1-5.

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, certain that God is appealing through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God”.
    2 Corinthians 5:20

    God’s Desire

Reconciliation of sinners to God is a theme that traverses the pages of the Bible. Reconciliation is a reuniting of sinful man back into a tender relationship with God. It was conceived in heaven; applied in Eden – the prophets’ cry and God’s desire. Reconciliation is a burden that weighed heavily on the heart of Paul the apostle. Reconciliation is a responsibility that has been entrusted to the Body of Christ.

    Voice of Warning

We are to be God’s voice of warning to a lost world that is dead in their sins. We are to be ambassadors of the Lord, entrusted with a ministry of reconciliation. The Lord has sent us forth to speak of the consequences of separation from God. We are empowered to warn but we have no authorisation to enforce or mediate. The responsibility of reconciliation between God and man is through Christ alone. Our duty is to blow the warning trumpet – but leave the rest in God’s own hand.

    Advocates of God

As ministers of the King of kings we represent Him in the courts of the world. As advocates of our God we are to proclaim His desires to those to whom we are sent. The Creator of the universe is using you and me as His ministers of reconciliation.

    One Mediator

During His earthly sojourn Jesus Himself was the heavenly messenger sent from God.. declaring God’s will to a lost and dying race – obediently becoming the means of reconciliation between man and God. Christ became one Mediator between man and God by His perfect life-sacrifice.. and the Church, which is His body is entrusted with this holy office. The Church are to be His witnesses proclaiming this sacred message.

    Eternal Significance

God made peace with us by grace, thru faith in the one perfect sacrifice for sin, and we are entrusted with a holy office – entreating the world to receive salvation. God loved the world so much that He gave His Son to die a cruel, ignominious death. Do we truly comprehend the eternal significance behind these oft-repeated words? Do we grasp the enormity of His yearning for man in this unparalleled act of love? Do we understand the shocking consequences of rejecting His eternal gift of grace?

    Gift of Salvation

The Lord Himself pleads with sinners to accept His free gift of salvation. He is like a judge imploring a condemned criminal to accept a free pardon – He is like a father aching for the prodigal to cry, I have sinned against you. His entreaties are to the lost sinner and the errant saint alike – all need His continuous flow of love and forgiveness. The former to recognise they are a sinner and need a Saviour. The latter to confess their sins and return back into fellowship with God. The former to turn from their sins and to have peace with God. The latter to return from their transgressions back into fellowship with Him.

    Sin-Offering

Christ Who knew no sin was made SIN so that sin in its entirety was dealt with. He did not become a sinner – He became SIN, so that we could be clothed in His righteousness. He was made a Sin-offering; a sacrifice for the sins the world committed – so that sinners who believe in Him would not perish but be reconciled to God.

    Reuniting Relationship

Reconciliation is a reuniting of sinful man back into tender relationship with God. It was conceived in heaven; applied in Eden; the prophets’ cry and God’s desire, and we have been made ambassadors for Christ with a ministry of reconciliation.

    Amazing Grace

What unparalleled condescension; what divine mercy; what astonishing wisdom. What a thrilling privilege; what amazing grace; what incredible love; what a God! Like Paul, should we not also cry: We are ambassadors for Christ. We are certain that God is appealing through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf: “Be reconciled to God.”

    i. Evening Prayer

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. ⏤ Psalm 121:3-4

It is not necessary to always be talking to God, but it is always necessary to be trusting Him. ⏤ A.W. Tozer

O Son of God, where else can we go but to You? You have the words of eternal life! You have redeemed us by Your blood, and You won’t turn us away when we come to You. Grant us now an evening blessing. We haven’t followed You perfectly as we promised to do this morning. We’ve wandered from Your ways like lost sheep. We don’t want to go to bed until we’ve received Your forgiveness. Since You died for us, we come boldly to Your throne of grace to ask for the forgiveness of all our sins. O Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.

We thank You for Your care, which has been so constant and faithful today.

We’ve moved through unseen dangers, with no power to protect ourselves—and You have protected us.

We’ve walked on paths we didn’t know—and You’ve led us. We’ve carried burdens that were too heavy for us—and You’ve sustained us.

We’ve faced problems we couldn’t solve—and You’ve given us wisdom.

For the blessings of Your providence, we thank You. For the love and grace we’ve received from Your word and through Your Spirit, we thank You.

We lay the work of the day at Your feet. What is stained with sin, please cleanse. Correct our mistakes so they don’t mar our work or harm others. Whatever You can use from the work of our hands, may You use it for Your glory.

Receive us now into Your care for the night. Lay Your hand on us in blessing and keep us through the night. Refresh us with sleep and prepare us for a new day. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Amen.

It is foolish to exalt yourself before God, for He opposes the proud, but shows favor to the humble. https://www.theblessingdevotional.com 2. Morning Prayer for today. i. Morning Prayer Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. ⏤ Revelation 3:20 If we would understand the potential power of our homes, we would fall on our knees and ask God to make our homes sanctuaries of peace and love. ⏤ E.M. Bounds Our Father, we thank You for our home. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/17/morning #taptapstudio #youdevotion. Good evening, brethren. 1. Evening devotion for today. i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST* (COCIN DEVOTIONAL) *DATE:* TUESDAY 21ST APRIL, 2026. *SUB-THEME:* THE CROSS: CULMINATION OF GRACE. *TOPIC:* THE HEART OF THE GOSPEL. *TEXT:* 1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-4. 1 Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, and in which you stand firm. Gal 1:11 [Rom 5:2] 2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. Rom 1:16 1Co 1:21 3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, Isa 53:7 Dan 9:24 Dan 9:26 1Co 5:7 1Pe 2:24 [Isa 53:5] 4 that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, Psa 16:10 Psa 16:10 Isa 53:8 Isa 53:9 Jon 1:17 Mat 12:40 Mat 12:40 *TOPIC:* THE HEART OF THE GOSPEL. *THE MESSAGE:* The Cross is central to the message of the Gospel. *REFLECTION:* Preach the Gospel of the Cross. *PRAYER:* Lord, help me to preach the Gospel boldly. Amen. *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:* COLOSSIANS 2:15. "And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross." *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:* 2 CHRONICLES 1-5. ii. We plead on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God”. 2 Corinthians 5:20 God’s Desire Reconciliation of sinners to God is a theme that traverses the pages of the Bible. Voice of Warning We are to be God’s voice of warning to a lost world that is dead in their sins. Advocates of God As ministers of the King of kings we represent Him in the courts of the world. As advocates of our God we are to proclaim His desires to those to whom we are sent. The Creator of the universe is using you and me as His ministers of reconciliation. One Mediator During His earthly sojourn Jesus Himself was the heavenly messenger sent from God.. declaring God’s will to a lost and dying race – obediently becoming the means of reconciliation between man and God. Christ became one Mediator between man and God by His perfect life-sacrifice.. and the Church, which is His body is entrusted with this holy office. The Church are to be His witnesses proclaiming this sacred message. Eternal Significance God made peace with us by grace, thru faith in the one perfect sacrifice for sin, and we are entrusted with a holy office – entreating the world to receive salvation. Gift of Salvation The Lord Himself pleads with sinners to accept His free gift of salvation. Sin-Offering Christ Who knew no sin was made SIN so that sin in its entirety was dealt with. He did not become a sinner – He became SIN, so that we could be clothed in His righteousness. He was made a Sin-offering; a sacrifice for the sins the world committed – so that sinners who believe in Him would not perish but be reconciled to God. Reuniting Relationship Reconciliation is a reuniting of sinful man back into tender relationship with God. It was conceived in heaven; applied in Eden; the prophets’ cry and God’s desire, and we have been made ambassadors for Christ with a ministry of reconciliation. Amazing Grace What unparalleled condescension; what divine mercy; what astonishing wisdom. What a thrilling privilege; what amazing grace; what incredible love; what a God! Like Paul, should we not also cry: We are ambassadors for Christ. We are certain that God is appealing through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf: “Be reconciled to God.” Post navigation Previous Post Previous Your Choice Proudly powered by WordPress. 2. Evening, prayer for today. i. Evening Prayer He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. ⏤ Psalm 121:3-4 It is not necessary to always be talking to God, but it is always necessary to be trusting Him. ⏤ A.W. Tozer O Son of God, where else can we go but to You? • Good morning, brethren.

    1. Morning devotion for today.

    i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. TUESDAY APRIL 21, 2026.
    ' " 'I'M PRAYING FOR YOU'"

‘I have prayed for you…’  Luke 22:32 NKJV

WHEN SOMEBODY says, ‘I’m praying for you,’ there is no greater expression of love! The tragedy of religion without power is that it leaves you ignorant of the incredible potential of prayer. Prayer moves God! And when God moves, people and situations change! Jesus told Peter, ‘…Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren’ (vv. 31-32 NKJV). And God answered that prayer! In spite of his denial of Christ, Peter ended up leading one of the greatest spiritual awakenings in history, and two of the books in the Bible are named after him. Only eternity will reveal the lives that have been salvaged and ministries restored through prayer. There is no distance in prayer. Through prayer you can project yourself into any situation, at any time, anywhere on earth, claiming the promise, ‘…Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours’ (Mark 11:24 NIV). When the Philistines were about to annihilate Israel, Samuel said, ‘…I will intercede with the Lord for you’ (1 Samuel 7:5 NIV). And the result? ‘…The Lord thundered…against the Philistines…’ (v. 10 NIV). Perhaps this is what the old-timers meant when they talked about ‘praying up a storm’! God comes by invitation. Your prayers open the door to Him. Any time you pray in Jesus’ name, the Holy Spirit is authorised to go to work accomplishing things on your behalf that cannot be accomplished any other way. Remember that, next time someone says, ‘I’m praying for you’.

    ii. THE WAY IS OPEN

"He heard that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. He began to speak with a loud voice, saying, 'Jesus, Son of David, take pity on me!" - Mark 10:47

Many Christians in need think: 'If Jesus were only on earth, I would go to Him for help.'

Yet when Jesus was on earth, the people only had limited access to God. If you were lucky enough to be at the right time in the place where the Lord Jesus was and if the crowd around Him allowed it, you could have an encounter with Him. He was a man of flesh and blood and could only be in one place at the same time.

    An encounter with Jesus

While Jesus was still on earth, Bartimaeus was one of the lucky ones to meet Him. Bartimaeus shouted: 'Jesus, Son of David, take pity on me!' Jesus stopped and said: 'Call him.' Bartimaeus, who was blind, threw off his coat and was taken to Jesus, who asked him: 'What do you want Me to do for you?' The blind man said to Him: 'Lord, I want to see.' And Jesus responded: 'Go! Your faith has healed you.' At once Bartimaeus could see again and he went on with Jesus (see Mark 10:47-52).

There are many stories about people who went to great lengths to meet Jesus. For example, the man who could not move his body was let down through the roof in front of Jesus. The Lord Jesus healed him. The woman from the land of Canaan was lucky that Jesus crossed her path. After a lot of opposition, she received healing for her daughter because of her great faith.

It is wonderful that we do not have to go to Israel to be able to meet Jesus. We do not have to wait for Him to pass by to be able to speak to Jesus. No, we have access to God and can go to Him any time.

If you do not have a way out, God is there in the midst of the difficulties and you can call upon Him. He longs to help you. He is a merciful God and wants to forgive, deliver and heal you.

James 4:8 says: 'Come near to God and He will come near to you.'

    2. Morning Prayer for today.

    i. Morning Prayer

Thou wilt keep Moses Ishaku in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee. ⏤ Isaiah 26:3

True peace comes from knowing that God is in control. ⏤ Dwight L. Moody

O God, our Father, bless us as we go out for the day. Without Your blessing, life has nothing truly beautiful or good. Like children waiting for a father’s blessing, we wait to receive Yours. Grant us Your peace. Give us health and make us strong for the tasks ahead.

As we go our separate ways for our different duties, we place ourselves in Your care. Help us to avoid sin as we walk in the light of Your commandments. We have Your word—help us to follow it faithfully.

We want to do our work well. We don’t want to end this day with only the stained fragments of our efforts to show. We want to bring back a good report at the end of the day. Bless us as we turn to our tasks and duties now. We want to do Your will, not our own; to please You, not ourselves. Fill us with Your grace and love so that we will be gentle, humble, and submissive, and in all things aligned with You. Strengthen us with all spiritual strength and enrich us with all grace so that we won’t fail in our obedience.

We’ll have duties to others as we go through the day. Help us to do them well. Keep us from any feelings that would spoil the beauty of our character. Keep us from having a negative influence on those we meet. Keep us from envy, jealousy, bad temper, and irritability. Keep us from acting in ways that dishonor You or harm Your cause. Help us to bring sunshine and good cheer wherever we go so that everyone who sees us will get a little brightness from our faces and our words. Help us to be a blessing all day long, making our path like the shining light. Bring us all home together in peace at the end of the day. We ask in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.

Amen.

John 5:17 He could not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief. Matthew 13:38 Power to Heal What a glorious truth that “the power of the Lord is present to heal.” But there was a place where His power to heal was not a present help in trouble. There was a place where He could not help them – because of their unbelief. He Healed All He was never unwilling to give, for over and again we read, He healed them all Matt.12:15. We read in Luke chapter 4 that, when the sun was setting, ALL those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them” Luke 4:40 Almighty Power God’s arm is not short. His heart is not cold – His power is not diminished.. for His healing touch comes through the almighty power of the almighty God – but He could not do many mighty works there.. because of their unbelief.” Matt.13:58 How sad – Rich Blessings God desired to pour out health and healing – but their foolish bias prevented Him. Their proud hearts were tightly shut against the rich blessings He brought.. hardened against Him, because of familiarity with Him! He desired to pour out on them healing and wholeness, but they dismissed Him. He came with rich blessings in His hands but carried them away with a sad heart. The Open Heart The heart that is open to His presence will gladly partake of all His grace and love. Some even are sufficed to gather the crumbs that fall from the tables of others: “For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance, but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.” Luke 19:26 Abundant Blessings Oh yes, He will give abundantly and He will give more abundantly – pressed down, shaken together and running over. Luke 6:38 There is never any lack of power to save – nor any lack of blessings to receive, yet we may be near to Him, and miss out on the blessings He is wiling to bestow – for hardness of heart.. Prevented by Unbelief He may approach us, desiring to impart rich gifts of strength, comfort and joy. He may come bearing gifts of wholeness and health; wisdom, love and help, and yet He may be prevented by unbelief – as He was that time so long ago, “He came unto His own and His own received Him not…” John 1:11 Channels of Blessing We ourselves must be in a position to accept that which He comes to bring. Hearts of Unbelief It is often because of unbelief, that God’s power is prevented from working within. He is able and He is willing and He is ever present to help in time of need.. but He will never force us to accept His gifts. That choice is ours and ours alone. “How often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and yet ye would not!” Luke 13:34 Willing Hearts I wonder how many blessings we have forgone because of our unbelief. May our hearts be ever open to hear His voice. May our hearts be willing to receive the blessings He wants to give. Evening Prayer I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. ⏤ Psalm 4:8 Prayer is the nearest approach to God and the highest enjoyment of Him that we are capable of in this life. ⏤ Jonathan Edwards Now, at the end of the day, our Father, we come back to You. • Good morning, brethren.

    1. Morning devotion for today.

    i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. MONDAY APRIL 20, 2026.

    "STOP COMPARING YOURSELF WITH OTHERS!"

    '....But they...comparing themselves…are not wise.’   2 Corinthians 10:12 KJV

ARE YOU so busy analysing your vices that you don’t have time to appreciate your virtues? Or so caught up in scrutinising others that you don’t value what God has given you? God never intended you to compare yourself with anybody else. ‘Since this is the kind of life we have chosen, the life of the Spirit, let us make sure that we do not just hold it as an idea in our heads or a sentiment in our hearts, but work out its implications in every detail of our lives. That means we will not compare ourselves with each other as if one of us were better and another worse. We have far more interesting things to do with our lives. Each of us is an original’ (Galatians 5:25-26 TM). By making comparisons, you’re implying that God made a mistake in making you as you are. Furthermore, you’re allowing others to define your worth, and giving them control over your self-esteem. That’s too much power to give anybody! ‘…Since we find ourselves fashioned…excellently…and marvellously…let’s just go ahead and be what we were made to be’ (Romans 12:5-6 TM). Build on your God-given talents and stop coveting what others have. God made you what He wanted you to be, redeemed you and called you to fulfil His plan for your life. Until you stop comparing yourself with others, you’ll never be able to give birth to the gifts He’s placed within you. So thank Him for making you who you are, and believe that He’s transforming you day by day into the person He wants you to become.

    ii. THE BLESSING OF GIVING

"A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." - Proverbs 11:25

One of the most important lessons we learnt at home was to give generously. We often gave our last penny and somehow, we never fell short because God always gave back. Our goods were multiplied by receiving more than we gave. Then we gave even more again!

Giving is Biblical. God intended and organized it to work as such. Jesus stood in the temple and watched as a widow gave everything and He praised her for this. God also sees your gift and He knows how much you have got left after you have given.

In Luke 6:38, Jesus says: 'Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap.' The same God who said: 'Ask and you shall receive,' also says: 'Give, and it will be given to you.' God wants to bless His children and the way to be blessed is to give in the first place.

    The law of multiplication

Giving to God inevitably means receiving back from God.

'Honor the Lord with your riches, and with the first of all you grow. Then your store-houses will be filled with many good things and your barrels will flow over with new wine' (Proverbs 3:9-10).

What an abundant reward! If we give, as the Bible teaches, we put God's laws of multiplication into action.

A Scottish farmer planted a single grain in the year 1881. That single seed produced 2 ears with 560 grains. In 1882 those 560 grains produced half a bushel. In 1883 the harvest was 17 bushels. In 1884 these grains were sown on 17 hectares of land and produced a large harvest. One hundred bushels were sown in 1885 and 4 full trucks were harvested.

If God can give such a huge harvest in 5 years, would God not be able to multiply His seed? The seed is God's Word. Give your money and pour it out in the fertile ground of the gospel.

    2. Morning Prayer for today.

    i. Morning Prayer

[It is of] the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. [They are] new every morning: great [is] thy faithfulness. ⏤ Lamentations 3:22-23

Begin each day with private prayer, with great earnestness. ⏤ George Whitefield

Father, as the brightness of a new day comes to us, we pause to receive Your blessing. We want to make this a fresh start in our lives. We want to forget the past—our mistakes and sins, our sorrows, and our struggles.

We begin this new day asking for the grace to live in a way that honors You and blesses the world.

As we go about our tasks today, we ask for Your special presence with us. We hold onto Your promises. You’ve said, "As your days, so shall your strength be!" and "I am with you always, even to the end of the world!" We wait for these promises to be fulfilled. We need Your guidance and help at every step. We are weak, but You can make us strong to endure. Fill us with Your Spirit so that we can bring something of the love of Jesus to everyone we meet. We want to live in this world as those who belong to Heaven, carrying Heaven’s love in our hearts and Heaven’s light in our faces.

Knowing our weakness, we cast our lives with all their burdens on You and ask You to keep us. Watch over each of us and bring us all together again this evening, if it is Your will. But if our circle is broken, if any of us are taken away from this earth, receive us into the Father’s house, where we will never have to leave.

We pray for those who will have a hard day today—the poor, the sick, the tempted, those in the darkness of sorrow. Show Yourself to them in tender love.

Hear our morning prayers. Keep us from all evil. Help us to faithfully do every duty. We ask all this in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.

  • Good evening, brethren.

    1. Evening devotion for today.

    i. DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

    SUNDAY, 19TH APRIL, 2026.

    SUB-THEME:
    THE CROSS: CULMINATION OF GRACE.

    TOPIC:
    GRACE PERFECTED AT THE CROSS.

    TEXT:
    JOHN 19:28-30.
28 After this, when Jesus realized that everything was now completed, He said (in order to fulfill the Scripture), “I’m thirsty.” Psa 69:21
29 A jar of sour wine was standing there, so they put a sponge full of the wine on a branch of hyssop and held it to His mouth. Mat 27:48 [Mar 15:36]
30 After Jesus had taken the wine, He said, “It is finished.” Then He bowed His head and released His spirit. Joh 17:4 [Luk 23:46].

    TOPIC:
    GRACE PERFECTED AT THE CROSS.

    THE MESSAGE:
"Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" (Jn. 1:29), is fulfilled in this text. The statement, "It is finished," is not a cry of defeat but a proclamation of victory and the completion of the divine plan of redemption. The grace operating in the Old Testament through sacrifices, covenants, and prophetic promises culminated at Calvary. The Cross was not an accident; it was the appointed moment when God's justice and mercy kissed. Grace culminated in God's justice and mercy, where sin was judged, and sinners were justified. At the Cross, grace stopped being a concept and became an experience. Beloved, the unearned favour of God found its expression in Christ's willing sacrifice. Like the thief on the Cross, embrace the fullness of God's grace today.

    REFLECTION:
Grace is ultimately expressed at the Cross.

    PRAYER:
Lord, help me to live in the power of Your finished work. Amen.

    MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:
    COLOSSIANS 2:15.
"And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross."

    TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:

    Many Religions

All religions have tried to find God. All faiths have tried to reach God. All philosophies have tried to define God. All philologies have tried to express God. All searches prove fruitless.. except the discovery of the true Anointed. All Babel towers are laid waist.. save His strong arm, mighty to save. All definitions are worthless.. save the One Way, One Truth, One Life All expressions are inane.. save the One expressed through the Lord Jesus.

    One Truth

The Bible is the only truth that stands as an eternal monument. The Scriptures alone are shrouded in ineffable glory. Every religion, faith, philosophy and philology are counterfeit toys.. cast in humanity’s path to avert the eye of mans’ understanding from truth. Every attempted definition negates God.. save those of sublime inspiration.

    Many Vain Ideas

Take possession of your own vain ideas or distorted images of God and you will not glimpse the living One. Rest your hope on false ideas and relativism’s hypotheses of Him.. and the severed head your Dagon** will smash to the ground.

    One Lone Voice

When the fluency and eloquence of poetic utterances about God is hushed.. when the extravagant tints of religious art have been stopped… when the last harmonic strains of musical praise drifts into silence – there is one lone voice that remains: I am the way and the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father except by Me. John 14:16

    Chastened Heart

Only when silenced by the plethora of such considerations about God can we begin to contemplate the enormity of Who He is. Only with a chastened heart that is disciplined and stilled before His throne can we whisper with Job in the fullness of our time. I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth Thee – wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes. Job 42: 5,6

    i. Evening Prayer

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. ⏤ Numbers 6:24-26

A day without prayer is a day without blessing, and a life without prayer is a life without power. ⏤ Leonard Ravenhill

We thank You, O God, for this blessed day. It began with grace, and grace has brightened all its sacred hours. We have seen Your face, and our hearts have been filled with joy. We have waited on You, and You have renewed our strength. We went to Your sanctuary, and You met us there and blessed us. We prayed to You, and You came near to us in love, breathing Your life into our souls.

Sanctify to us all the lessons and influences of this day. Help us remember the words You’ve spoken to us. May we carry in our hearts new desires, higher aspirations, and stronger determination from today’s devotions. May we be stronger for duty, more courageous for the challenges ahead, gentler in spirit, with more tender sympathies and sweeter affections—because we’ve seen You today.

Bless Your people everywhere with the rest and worship of this Sunday. May good come from every sermon preached, every lesson taught in Sunday school, and every holy word spoken in public or in private. May Your people be strengthened in their faith, their love increased, and their zeal deepened because of today’s ministry of Your word.

We now ask for special grace to prepare us for the work of the week ahead. We can’t foresee even one day. We don’t know what the future holds—not even the near future. But You know, and we will go forward into the unknown without fear. Everything will be well because You will lead us, and we’re not afraid to trust You. Choose the path for us. We wouldn’t choose for ourselves, even if we could, because Your wisdom is far greater than ours. So we commit everything to You, and we will go on in Your name. Amen.

  • Good morning, brethren.

    Morning devotion for today.

    i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. SUNDAY APRIL 19, 2026.
    "INSTRUMENT RATED (11)"

‘The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich…’  Proverbs 10:22 KJV

INSTRUMENT RATED for finances. Just when you get ahead a little bit, your car breaks down, your house needs a new roof, and your boiler gives up the ghost. We all experience it. But the instrument-rated believer can fly through financial storms because he has absolute confidence in his gauges and radio. If he looks at them and doubts their accuracy, he’s in serious difficulty. This must all be settled on the ground while he is going through the checklist. He must not take off into the storm if all is not in good order. When it comes to money matters, check your craft. Do you know what the Bible really says about your finances? To fly through or above a financial storm, you must practise biblical stewardship, know what God has promised to you, and stand on it in faith. ‘Give, and it shall be given unto you’ (Luke 6:38). Giving is an act of obedience. It honours God. But there are some things God will not do. He will not be generous with you if you have been stingy with Him or others. The Bible says, ‘The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich.’ You ask, ‘How rich does God want me to be?’ That depends on four things: your spiritual maturity, your God-given assignment in life, your willingness to put God in first place when it comes to finances, and exercising your faith. Giving is like sowing (2 Corinthians 9:6). When a seed is sown it produces a harvest. But the farmer has to go and get that harvest. Similarly, faith, plus obedience, draws the harvest of God’s blessing into your life.

ii. HOW DOES TRUE REVIVAL START?

"And afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all people." - Joel 2:28

Peter said on the day of Pentecost: 'What is happening here was spoken by the prophet Joel long ago.' This outpouring of the Holy Spirit occurred about 2000 years ago and God's children around the world continue to be filled with the Holy Spirit when they ask God for it.

Deuteronomy 11:14 speaks of the early and late rains. It is very important to know that the early and the late rains were given to Israel by God for a reason. Verse 14 tells us very clearly: 'He will send the rains in their proper seasons — the early and late rains — so you can bring in your harvests.' They were needed to bring in the harvest.

    The harvest

The work of the Holy Spirit therefore has to do with bringing in the harvest of precious souls.

Jesus said to His disciples in Acts 1:8: 'You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.'

Two thousand years later we clearly see the work of God's Spirit all over the earth. It is the late rain. James 5:7-8 says: 'Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near.'

On the day of Pentecost one hundred and twenty men and women were gathered in prayer. When the early rain came, three thousand people were saved after Peter's speech. After this, people came to faith in Jesus daily.

Zechariah 12:10 says that God will pour out the Spirit of prayer and grace. A prayer in the Holy Spirit will always focus on the prayer of Jesus, so that God will send workers into His vineyard. Revival comes through fervent, persistent prayer!

    2. Morning, prayer for today.

    i. Morning Prayer

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint. ⏤ Isaiah 40:31

Sunday clears away the rust of the whole week. ⏤ Joseph Addison

As we begin this holy Sunday, our Father, we ask for Your Sunday blessing. On this day, which reminds us of our Savior’s resurrection, may we rise to a holier, truer, and more heavenly life. May we walk in the light of Your love. As we wait on You, renew our strength so that we can run without growing weary and walk without fainting in the week ahead.

We ask that You bless us in our private and public worship on this holy day. May Your blessing rest on all worshiping assemblies of Your people. May this be a day of spiritual renewal in all the churches. Bless all Sunday schools. May Your grace fill the heart of every teacher, and may every child who receives instruction be blessed through Your word. Bless all missionaries and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, preparing them for worthy service.

We pray that You will bless us in our worship today. Help us leave behind every worldly thought and care as we enter Your sanctuary. As we wait before You, may we receive instruction from Your word and inspiration from Your Spirit, so that we may be strong for the battles and duties ahead. Help us today as we minister to others. May we bring love and peace to each other in our home. Help us bring comfort to those who are grieving, encouragement to those who are discouraged, and compassion to those who are in distress.

We give ourselves to You for a Sunday filled with blessing, love, and peace. May our home receive new divine influences from above. May this be a shining day in the story of our lives. And we will give You the praise and the honor forever. Amen.

Just when you get ahead a little bit, your car breaks down, your house needs a new roof, and your boiler gives up the ghost. We all experience it.
