DAY 3 – PRAYING IN VICTORY
What if your prayers came from victory—not for it?

#WorshipAndTheWord – Praying From Victory: Faith That Declares
    #WayMaker #Sinach #DoItAgain #ElevationWorship

You don’t beg for breakthrough—you declare from a finished victory.

Jesus has already made a way, through the cross and confirmed it through the resurrection. Every barrier has been broken, every impossibility answered in Him.
Prayer is no longer striving—it is agreement. You are aligning your voice with heaven, declaring what God has already spoken. Even when you don’t see it, God is working. Even when you don’t feel it, He is faithful.

    God Is Always Working
This reveals what God is doing behind the scenes
    Isaiah 43:19 (BSB)
“Behold, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
God is making a way—even when you can’t yet see it.

    The Triumphal Procession
This confirms that victory is your constant atmosphere in Christ
    2 Corinthians 2:14
“But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him.”
You aren't fighting to get into victory; you are being led through it.

    Confidence In Prayer
This shows the authority you have in Christ
    1 John 5:14
“And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”
Your prayers carry power when they align with God’s will.

    Beloved:
Stop praying like you are uncertain of the outcome. Heaven is not hesitant—God is faithful.
Reject doubt, silence fear, and refuse to let circumstances dictate your faith. Lift your voice and declare: “You are the Way Maker. You will do it again!”
The Triumphal Procession isn't a future hope—it's your current reality. You are not a victim of your circumstances; you are a carrier of His victory. When you speak, you aren't just making noise; you are releasing the 'fragrance of His triumph' into every dead situation.
Stand firm, pray boldly, and expect breakthrough. Your God has never failed—and He will not start now.
Pray with confidence. Pray with authority. Pray in victory.

    Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You that You are always working, even when I cannot see it. I come before You today not as one begging for victory, but as one standing firmly in it.
I declare that I am more than a conqueror through Him who loved me. I reject doubt, fear, and the lie of defeat. I refuse to settle for the mindset of a victim, for You have already secured my prize.
Lord, lead me this day in Your triumphal procession. I thank You that You are spreading the fragrance of Your victory through my life in every place I step. I receive boldness to pray with authority and confidence, knowing that my voice aligns with the finished work of the cross.
Strengthen my faith to trust You completely and to declare Your truth over every situation. I decree and declare, proclaim and prophesy that You are making a way, You are leading me in triumph, and You will do it again!
    In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

  • Good evening, brethren.

    1. Evening devotion for today.

    i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

    *DATE:*
    THURSDAY 2ND APRIL, 2026.

    *SUB-THEME:*
    THE CROSS: CULMINATION OF GRACE.

    *TOPIC:*
    CHRIST: THE GIFT OF GOD.

    *TEXT:*
    JOHN 3:16-18.
    16. For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
    17. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.
    18. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

    *TOPIC:*
    CHRIST: THE GIFT OF GOD.

    *THE MESSAGE:*
Gifts should be received and treated with honour. The gift of God to humanity is His Son, Jesus Christ. This text makes it clear that God demonstrated His love to the world by offering His only Son to be sacrificed to take away her sin. He gives an invitation to every individual to access this salvation. The one who believes is justified and receives eternal life, but the one who does not believe is condemned already, even while he lives. Have you responded to this invitation by accepting the gift of God? Be encouraged because no human effort is needed. The gift of God is free! Paul clarifies that with the heart, one believes and is justified, and with the mouth, one confesses and is saved (Rom. 10:9-10). Take the right action today!

    *REFLECTION:*
Accept God's gift and be saved.

    *PRAYER:*
Father, thank You for the gift of Your Son. Amen.

    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    COLOSSIANS 2:15.
"And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross."

    *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
    1 KINGS 5-8.

    Old Self Life

Do you often ask for God’s help? “Help ME do this God” and “help ME do that Lord” or “Help ME change myself…” “Help ME stop being like this Father,” and “help ME start being like that?” Think! God is never going to change the old YOU – the old self-life!

    Christ’s Life

When God saved you, He did not plan to help you live YOUR life. God purposed that HE would live Christ’s life in you!! Immaturity sees the Lord Jesus as helper in MY Christian life. Maturity knows the Lord as the very LIFE itself, within my new man.

    J.E. Conant:-

J.E. Conant wisely wrote the following:- “Christian living is not our living with Christ’s help, it is Christ living His life in us. Therefore, that portion of our lives that is not His living is not Christian living; and that portion of our service that is not His doing is not service; for all such life and service have but a human and natural source, but Christian life and service have a supernatural and spiritual source.” That supernatural, spiritual source – is the Spirit of Christ in you. As Paul wrote ‘For me to live is Christ.’ It is not God helping the old man to live. God will not help your old man, your old ‘self’ to live!!! “God works (in your new man) both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” Phil.2:13

    William R. Newell:-

William R. Newell puts it this way:- “Satan’s great device is to drive earnest souls back to beseeching God for what God says has already been done! You are a new creation in Christ – so the old self must be done away with. The old self must remain on the cross – while the new self is Christ in you. God did not help the sinner to be born again… He gave him a new life in Christ. And God won’t help the old you. He’ll conform the new “You-Life” into “Christ-life”. “For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily and you are complete in Him.”

    Old and New Man

You are not trusting or honouring God when you ask Him to help YOU. You.. the Old “I” must remain on the cross/ The old man must be crucified. The new man in Christ alone is the one that God lives in and works through. Don’t ask him to help you control your temper or your greed.. your lust or pride. These are works of the flesh that must be nailed to the cross and remain there. The Spirit of God lives in the spirit of man, the new man in Christ, which cannot sin, as John told us. “Whoever has been born of God (the new man in Christ) does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God”.

    Sinless Perfection??

Does that make you sinless or me? NO !!!! What a joke! Remember…. Last week….. last month……….. last year! Remember the many times you have fallen into sin? I certainly can, and it’s painful. But if we confess our sins, to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1John 1:9

    Carnal or Spiritual

Your Soul that has the capacity to sin, and will continue to until we are with Him. Your old soul-life is the old man in Adam, the carnal self that can work for ill. Your new soul-life is the new man in Christ, the spiritual man that works for good. Your soul can submit to the leading and guiding of the Spirit within your spirit – or your soul can grieve and quench the Spirit of God with rebellious acts. Your soul can rebel. Your soul can allow the sinful flesh to raise its ugly head and rule your life. Never ask God to help your soul yield to His Life working in your new life.

    F. J. Huegel:-

    F. J. Huegel declares: “When a Christian’s prayer life springs from a right position (a thorough adjustment to Christ in His death and resurrection), a vast change in procedure follows: Much of our begging fails to register in heaven because it fails to spring from right relations with the Father in union with Christ in death and resurrection: in which position one simply appropriates what is already his. ‘All things,’ says the Apostle Paul, ‘are yours, and ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s’ 1Corinthians 3:21; 23

    His Will

We’re not to approach God’s throne asking Him to help us and bless our plans. We are to seek Him to do His work in us – His will, His plans. We are to seek His will in our life, to live and do to His good pleasure. We are to trust His will, in all the decisions we make and the problems we face.

    F. J. Huegel

When we ask God to help us, we are not trusting Him but rather ourselves! Don’t ask God to help you in this or to help you sort that out, for He won’t – but when you come to Him in humility and helplessness, He’ll move heaven for you. When you cease from your own strivings and say, Thy Will Be Done In My Life… He will move the greatest mountain, that you’ve struggled with for years.

    Stamford:-

Stamford writes the following:- “If only I were stronger,’ we say, ’I could overcome my violent outbursts of temper, ’and so we plead with the Lord to strengthen us. We plead with Him to help us exercise more self-control. But this is altogether wrong… This is not Christianity. God’s means of delivering us from sin isn’t by making us stronger and stronger but by making us weaker and weaker. “This is surely a peculiar way of victory”, you say; but it is the divine way. God sets us free from the dominion of sin, not by strengthening our old man but by crucifying him; not by helping him to do anything but by removing him….by removing him from the scene of action.”

    Lifetime Learning

Oh, what a wonderful joy it is to realise that the pressure is not on ME to act. Does it concern you that you have not seen this before? Well quit your disquiet!! Rejoice that He is opening up His truths to your heart today. God delights to take 20, 30, 50, 80 years to bring His saints to such understanding. He has been unfolding such truths to godly men down through the centuries, and I suspect that we all have much more to learn, in His time and His way.

    Greater Helplessness

It is not that we should be asking the Lord to help US, we should be seeking a greater capacity to helplessness. We should be relying on Him and on His strength, and Him alone. “When I am Weak,” wrote that great soldier of the Lord’s army, the apostle Paul… “When I am Weak, then I am Strong.” 2Cor.12:10 Don’t beg the Lord for help. Appropriate that which is already yours in Christ:-

    The Godly Life

The just shall live by faith.

The JUST shall live by faith.
    (Romans 1:17)

The just shall LIVE by faith.
    (Galatians 3:11)

The just shall live by FAITH.
    (Hebrews 10:38)

Yes – The Just shall Live by Faith In HIM And Not Faith In Self. For ME – to Live IS Christ.

    2. Evening Prayer for today.

    i. Evening Prayer

Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. ⏤ Mark 10:15

Rest in His arms with childlike faith, and peace will fill your heart. ⏤ Corrie Ten Boom

Our Father in Heaven, we come to You tonight with the confidence of children, calling You “Abba, Father.” Teach us to love You and trust You more deeply. Fill our hearts with the spirit of adoption.

We thank You for the privileges we enjoy as Your children. Help us to fully understand and appreciate them. Reveal Your love to us more and more. Though we cannot see You, and sometimes we struggle to believe in Your love, make this precious truth known to us, and may Your love be poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.

We are grateful for all the blessings You have given us—for the good things of Your providence and the even greater things of Your grace. We thank You for our home and its warm affection. We thank You for our friends and all the blessings of friendship. We thank You for our children and their sweetness and beauty. We thank You for schools, books, and teachers. We thank You for Your church, with its sacraments, fellowship, and the many ways it helps us.

As another day comes to an end, we ask for Your blessing. Accept all the work we’ve done today and bless it. Forgive us our sins, and strengthen us so that we may not sin against You so easily. Help us live in this world as pilgrims, just passing through on our way to our heavenly home. Yet, while we are here, help us live well, using the world but not abusing it, leaving a blessing behind us.

Lead us onward, and when life’s last day comes, bring us to the end in peace and into the eternal life of Heaven, through Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Amen.

Evening Prayer Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. ⏤ Mark 10:15 Rest in His arms with childlike faith, and peace will fill your heart. ⏤ Corrie Ten Boom Our Father in Heaven, we come to You tonight with the confidence of children, calling You “Abba, Father.” Teach us to love You and trust You more deeply. • Good evening, brethren.

    1. Evening devotion for today.

    1. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

    *WELCOME TO APRIL, 2026.*

    *SUB-THEME:*
    THE CROSS: CULMINATION OF GRACE.

    *INTRODUCTION:*
The Cross is the foundation of the Christian faith. It is the ultimate means of expressing the love of God to humanity. It demonstrates the heart of the Gospel, which is reflected in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Without the Cross, our faith is meaningless, and humanity is doomed eternally. This month's compass focuses on "THE CROSS: CULMINATION OF GRACE." Over time, the Holy Spirit will lead you to grasp the meaning, prospects, and outcome of the life of the Cross. Be cheerful because the Cross did what human wisdom and imagination could not have done. As you study, appreciate God's love and grace expressed in Christ's death.

    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    COLOSSIANS 2:15.
"And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the coss."

    *DATE:*
    WEDNESDAY, 1ST APRIL, 2026.

    *TOPIC:*
    CHRIST'S PASSION PROPHESIED.

    *TEXT:*
    ISAIAH 53:1-5.
    1. Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
    2. He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to Him, nothing in His appearance that we should desire Him.
    3. He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces He was despised, and we held Him in low esteem.
    4. Surely He took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered Him punished by God, stricken by Him, and afflicted.
    5. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.

    *TOPIC:*
    CHRIST'S PASSION PROPHESIED.

    *THE MESSAGE:*
Prophet Isaiah foretold the coming and ministry of Jesus Christ. The journey to the Cross began with His humble birth, as reported in the Gospel. The family's humble background had nothing to attract the Jews that He was the expected Messiah. They rejected Him, thus making Him a man acquainted with sorrow and grief and without esteem. Furthermore, God's plan was for the Messiah to be stricken, smitten, and afflicted not because He hated Him but because the world would obtain forgiveness, salvation, healing, and peace through Him. Jesus went through all these sufferings so that you will be saved.
    Are you saved?
Do not miss this great offer of salvation. Repent!

    *REFLECTION:*
    He suffered for your sake.

    *PRAYER:*
Jesus, thank You for bearing the pain for my sake. Amen.

    *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
    1 KINGS 1-4.

Little children, keep yourselves from idols.”
    1John 5:21

    Cloak of Pretence

Is your ‘old man’ crucified on the cross? Is your ‘old sin nature’ nailed to the tree? Are you allowing the ‘new man in Christ‘ to be daily conformed into His image? But, oh dear! How often our old sin nature climbs down from that crucified position. How much it pretends to take on attributes that should be developed in the new man. Self’ disguises itself in the likeness, pretence, and mask of the ‘new man’ in Christ. Others may be fooled by this little cloak of pretence – this masked covering of deceit, but God Who knows the heart is not fooled, and ‘Self’ will never be conformed into His image.

    Spiritual Pride

‘Self’ must remain forever cross-bound if the new nature in Christ is to grow and mature, for spiritual pride is only ‘Self,’ pretending to be the “new man” in Christ. Spiritual pride is the illusion that you are competent to run your own life. Spiritual pride is only ‘Self attempting to achieve your own sense of Self-worth. Spiritual pride finds a purpose big enough to give you meaning in life without God. Spiritual pride sets God aside and places ‘Self’ on the throne of your life. Spiritual pride is an idol in your life and the idol you worship is your own Self.

    Idol Worship

Idolatry isn’t just a problem for non-believers. Idolatry is a stumbling block for Christians too. Idolatry is trusting something smaller than God, to give your life significance. Idolatry is anything we trust in for deliverance, in the place of Jesus and His grace. Idolatry is the spirit of antichrist – exhibited in ‘Self’.

    Spiritual or Carnal

Placing ‘Self’ on the throne of our lives is not a new concept – it was born in Eden. It is the carnal human heart trying to build an identity around something other than God. Nothing can ever remove us from the love of God which is In Christ Jesus – nothing, but we can either choose to remain in constant fellowship with the Lord.. OR we can refuse to remain in divine communion with Him – either way, it’s our choice.

    Either – Or

EITHER, we can the Lord as King, permanently on the throne of our life – and keep Self nailed to the Cross, OR we can deliberately remove ourselves from precious communion with Him – and leave His close covering by elevating king Self. This old sin nature is the tool that Satan uses most frequently against a believer. Self is the shroud, more than anything else, that blocks God’s light from our hearts. The responsibility for removing this dark covering from your heart is your own. Only you can make the choice to tear Self from the throne of your life. No-one but you can decide to do this.

    The Spirit’s Scrutiny

How, you ask? How do I know that Self is on the throne of my life? – And how do I begin to remove Self and return the Lord to His rightful place? Well, child of God, inspect yourself honestly. You inspect your heart, your soul, your motives, your attitudes, your words. You place your self-life, actions, and motives under the Spirit’s microscopic scrutiny. You examine yourself to see if you truly are in the faith – with Christ central. You ask the indwelling Spirit of Christ to search out all the deceitful ways of self. You seek Him to search out any rebellious attitude where self reigns supreme – and you admit to yourself that you left your first love, the Lord Jesus. You confess those times when self replaced Christ with self as Lord of your life. You remember and return Him to His rightful place in your life. see Rev.2:

    Eternal Security

Oh! your eternal salvation is secure, for you are forever accepted in the Beloved, but check if Christ is the main influence on you or is ‘Self’ manipulating your life-deeds? Jesus said in John 15:5 “Without Me ye can do nothing …..” “Yet” you argue, “I can do many adventurous, bold, brash, and fearless things! Self can step in and achieve what years of waiting for God, has not accomplished!”

    Spirit and Truth

Ahhh! but complete the sentence… and be honest in its context. Finish Christ’s words of love, in Spirit and in Truth, and you will see:- Without Me, ye can do nothing….. acceptable to God. Without Me, ye can do nothing that is holy and acceptable unto God. We can all do many things that are unholy and unacceptable to God – through Self, but even good, commendable works, done in our own strength are unacceptable to Him.

    Non-Negotiables

There are certain non-negotiables in Scripture – such as.. 1. There is no condemnation to those that are in Christ Jesus, for we are accepted. 2. There is nothing in creation that can separate us from God’s eternally secure love. But there are choices we can make in this life that affect our relationship with Him. There are decisions that can detrimentally affect our earthly walk and future rewards, and it all has its roots in faith in God; trusting Him; believing His word: for without faith it is impossible to please God. Heb.11:6

    Universal Principle

When we fail to trust God, we do not escape from trusting someone or something. We can’t fail to trust God, without turning our trust over to something or someone. This is a universal principle that God has designed. That thing that we place our trust in becomes our ‘god’, and at times that ‘god’ in whom you put your trust in – is Self. The more you focus on Self the more your life will become bloodied and battered. The more you focus on Christ the more you will become like Him.

    Search ME O God

Search me, O God, thoroughly and know my heart: try me, test me, examine me deeply and know my thoughts – and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Are you man enough or woman enough to get on your knees and pray those words that David first prayed – David the man after God’s own heart.

    2. Evening Prayer for today.

    i. Evening Prayer

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. ⏤ 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Praise is the language of faith, lifting our hearts to see God’s hand in all things. ⏤ Matthew Henry

Lord, we praise You for Your mercy, truth, and all the wonders of Your love. Teach us how to sing Your praises. Sometimes we forget to sing because we so rarely express our gratitude. We come to You often with our needs, asking for many things, but we don’t thank You as often as we should. We forget to thank You for the very things we prayed for, not realizing that they are answers to our prayers, gifts from Your hand.

Father, we confess this sin of ingratitude and ask for Your forgiveness. Help us to show our repentance by thanking You more faithfully for all the blessings of Your love and grace. We thank You now for answered prayers, for the good things You provide, for the blessings of Your Word and Spirit, for our home and friends, and for all the benefits of living in this country and being part of Your church.

We thank You for today’s blessings, for its joys, for all the good it has brought us, for Your presence with us, and for the hope of eternal life. We thank You for being our Father, for loving us, and for revealing Your grace and comfort to us.

Teach us to sing Your praises, not just with our lips, but with our lives. May our actions, our character, and our conduct be a song of praise to You. May everyone who sees us hear the music of love and praise in our lives. Fill us with the joy of Jesus, and then we will sing. Breathe Your life into our souls, and then our lives will be a song. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

    Amazing Facts # 22

    The Other Woman.

Every marriage must rely on trust - and likewise in our union with Christ, we must remain faithful to Him and His Word. Revelation speaks about the true bride of Christ, but there is another woman who is trying to seduce believers away from God's Word. Revelation contains a shocking message about Babylon, the other woman. Babylon is fallen, and Christ's people must escape her charms or perish! Thus begins the second part of the three angels' message. Here you will learn the very real identity of spiritual Babylon and learn how to avoid being hypnotized by her fatal beauty ... what could be more important? 1. How does Jesus symbolize Babylon in the book of Revelation? "I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters." "And I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH." Revelation 17:1, 3-5. Answer: In Revelation 17:1-6, Jesus symbolizes Babylon as a harlot dressed in red and purple. She is seated upon a scarlet-colored beast, which has seven heads and 10 horns and sits on many waters. In the book of Revelation, God calls this woman "Babylon." 2. Who is the symbolic pure woman of Revelation chapter 12? Answer: A pure woman, clothed with the sun, is depicted in Revelation 12:1-6. We learned in Study Guide 20 that this pure woman symbolizes God's pure church which is faithful to her lover, Jesus. We will study Revelation chapter 12 in depth in Study Guide 23. 3. What does a harlot represent in Bible prophecy? "Cause Jerusalem to know her abominations." "Thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot." Ezekiel 16:2, 15. Answer: As a pure woman symbolizes a pure church which is faithful to Jesus, so an impure woman represents an impure, or fallen, church which is unfaithful to Jesus (James 4:4). 4. Can we identify the harlot (church) that is called "Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots" in Revelation chapter 17? Answer: Yes, it is widely known that there is only one church which claims to be the mother church--the great Roman Catholic Church. A prominent Catholic priest, John A. O'Brien, said: "That observance [Sundaykeeping] remains as a reminder of the Mother Church from which the non-Catholic sects broke away." 1 The points used in Revelation 17 to describe mother Babylon and the beast she rides clearly fit the papacy: A. She persecuted the saints (verse 6). (See Study Guides 15 and 20.) B. She was dressed in purple and scarlet (verse 4). The popes often wear the royal color of purple at important functions, and red is the color of the robes of Catholic cardinals. C. The seven heads of the beast (verse 3) upon which the woman is seated are seven mountains (verse 9). It is well known that Rome, the world headquarters of the papacy, is built upon seven hills or mountains. D. The beast is guilty of blasphemy (verse 3), a point which also clearly fits the papacy. (See Study Guides 15 and 20.) E. She ruled "over the kings of the earth." Verse 18. Alexander Flick says that by the 13th century, the pope was "at least in theory and claim ... the ruler of the whole world in temporal and spiritual affairs." 2 This point could fit no other earthly kingdom or government. The papacy is described in Revelation 17 too clearly for doubt. Note: Many leaders of the Reformation (Huss, Wycliffe, Luther, Calvin, Zwingli, Melanchthon, Cranmer, Tyndale, Latimer, Ridley, and others) taught that the papacy is the power here involved. 3 Most Reformation leaders taught that "Babylon" of Revelation 17 is the papacy. 1John A. O'Brien, The Faith of Millions (Huntington, IN: Our Sunday Visitor, Inc., 1974), p. 401. 2The Rise of the Mediaeval Church (New York: Burt Franklin, 1959), pp. 575, 576. 3George Eldon Ladd, The Blessed Hope (Grand Rapids, MI: William B. Eerdman's Publishing Co., 1956), pp. 32-34. 5. What is the literal meaning of the word "Babylon," and what is its origin? "Let us build ... a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven." "And the Lord said ... let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." "Therefore is the name of it called Babel ["confusion", margin]; because the Lord did there confound the language." Genesis 11:4, 6, 7, 9. Answer: The words "Babel" and "Babylon" mean "confusion." The name Babylon originated at the Tower of Babel, which was erected after the Flood by defiant pagans who hoped to build it so high that no floodwaters could ever cover it (verse 4). But the Lord confounded their languages, and the resultant confusion was so great they were forced to halt construction. They then called the tower "Babel" (Babylon), or "confusion." Later, in Old Testament days, a worldwide pagan kingdom named Babylon arose which was an enemy of God's people, Israel. It embodied rebellion, disobedience, persecution of God's people, pride, and idolatry (Jeremiah 39:6, 7; 50:29, 31-33; 51:24, 34, 47; Daniel chapters 3 and 5). In fact, in Isaiah chapter 14 God uses Babylon as a symbol of Satan himself because Babylon was so hostile and devastating to God's work and His people. In the New Testament book of Revelation, the term "Babylon" is used to signify a religious kingdom that is an enemy of God's spiritual Israel--His church (Revelation 14:8; 16:19). 6. Who are the harlot daughters of the mother Babylon described in Revelation 17:5? Answer: They are some of the churches which originally protested the false teachings of mother Babylon and left her during the great Protestant Reformation. But, later, they began to mimic the principles and actions of the mother and thus became fallen themselves. No woman is born a harlot. Neither were the symbolic Protestant daughter churches born fallen. Any church or organization that teaches and follows Babylon's false doctrines and practices could become a fallen church or daughter. So Babylon is a family name which embraces both the mother church and those of her daughters, who are also fallen. 7. In Revelation 17, why is mother Babylon pictured as riding upon the beast? What does the beast represent? Answer: In Revelation 13:1-10, Jesus portrays the papacy as a combination of church and state. (For more information, see Study Guide 20.) In Revelation chapter 17, Jesus depicts the church (the harlot) and state (the beast) as separate entities, though related. The woman is astride the beast, which signifies that the church is in control of the state or government. 8. What other powers unite with the papacy in fulfilling end-time events? "And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty." Revelation 16:13, 14. Answer: The dragon of Revelation 12:3, 4 and the false prophet of Revelation 13:11-14; 19:20 form an alliance with the beast of Revelation 13:1-10, or the papacy. A. The dragon of Revelation chapter 12 represents Satan working through pagan Rome. (See Study Guide 20 for more details.) In these last days it includes non-Christian religions such as Buddhism, Shintoism, Hinduism, the New Age, secular humanism, etc. B. The false prophet represents apostate Protestantism centered in America, which will take the lead in urging and influencing worldwide worship of the beast (see Study Guide 21). C. The beast is the papacy (see Study Guide 20). D. These three powers: Non-Christian religions and governments, Roman Catholicism, and apostate Protestantism will become allies in Armageddon--the final war against God, His law, and His loyal followers. This coalition is called "Babylon the great" by Jesus in Revelation 18:2. Non-Christian religions and apostate Protestantism will join the papacy as allies in the final war against God and His followers. 9. How will organizations with such diverse backgrounds be able to effectively unite? "These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast." Revelation 17:13. Answer: Revelation 16:13, 14 says "unclean spirits like frogs" which are "spirits of devils" will unite them through the miracles they will work. Spiritism--the belief that the dead are alive and can contact the living--will be the tenet which will weld all together. Satan and his angels--posing as the spirits of dead loved ones, prophets of old, angels of heaven (2 Corinthians 11:13, 14), and even Christ Himself (Matthew 24:24)--will convince the world that their cause is guided from heaven itself (see Study Guide 10). The powerful miracles of Satan and his angels (posing as spirits of dead) will unite the world in their support of the beast. Incidentally, all three entities believe that the dead are alive: A. Catholicism prays to Mary and other dead saints and believes these saints bless their followers with miracles. B. Non-Christian religions are virtually all based on belief in and worship of spirits of the dead. The New Age stresses "channeling"--supposed talking to the spirits of the dead. C. Apostate Protestantism believes that the dead are not dead but, rather, alive in heaven or hell. Thus they are highly susceptible to deception by demons who pose as spirits of the dead. 10. For what sins does God indict Babylon? A. "Babylon the great is fallen." Revelation 18:2. Answer: To fall means to turn away from Bible truth and true worship of the true God (2 Peter 3:17). B. "And is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit." "By thy sorceries were all nations deceived." Revelation 18:2, 23. Answer: Here God is indicting Babylon for (1) conferring personally with devils by inviting evil spirits into its midst through spiritism, and (2) for deceiving virtually the entire world through lying, demonic spirits. C. "The inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk" from the wine of abomination and fornication found in her cup (Revelation 17:2, 4; 18:3). Answer: The word "abomination" in the Bible symbolizes lies (Proverbs 12:22). Babylon's wine, which contains false teachings, disorients and benumbs those who drink it and makes them spiritually drunk. D. "The kings of the earth have committed fornication with her." Revelation 18:3. Answer: The church is the bride of Christ (Revelation 19:7, 8) and must love and be loyal only to Him--which Jesus said means keeping His commandments (John 14:15). The papacy is censured here for turning away from her husband, Jesus (James 4:4), and forming illicit relationships with civil governments (union of church and state) for her support. E. Trafficking in the "souls of men" (Revelation 18:13). Answer: God here denounces Babylon for treating people as merchandise rather than as precious children of God. 11. What are some of the false teachings contained in Babylon's wine that make people spiritually drunk and confused? Answer: Amazingly, some of the most prominent doctrines of Protestantism today are not found in the Bible at all. They have been brought into the Protestant churches by the mother church of Rome, who received them from paganism. A few of these false teachings are that: A. The law of God has been amended or repealed. God's law can never be changed or repealed (Luke 16:17). Study Guide 6 cites irrefutable evidence. B. The soul is immortal. The Bible mentions "soul" and "spirit" 1,700 times. Not once is either referred to as immortal. People are mortal (Job 4:17), and none receive immortality until Jesus' second advent (1 Corinthians 15:51-54). (See Study Guide 10 for more information.) C. Sinners burn eternally in hell. The Bible teaches that sinners will be completely consumed (put out of existence), both soul and body, in the fire (Matthew 10:28). An eternal hell of torment is not taught in the Bible. (See details in Study Guide 11.) D. Baptism by immersion is not necessary. Baptism by immersion is the only baptism recognized by Scripture. (See Study Guide 9 for further information.) E. Sunday is God's holy day. The Bible teaches, without question, that God's holy day is the seventh-day Sabbath--Saturday. (For details, see Study Guide 7.) Note: These false teachings, once believed, tend to bring "confusion" (which is what the term "Babylon" literally means) and make understanding Scripture much more difficult. A Sobering Thought It's sobering to think that some might unknowingly be drinking Babylon's wine. Perhaps this is all new to you. If so, please ask God to guide you (Matthew 7:7). Then search the Scriptures to see if these things are so (Acts 17:11). Promise that you will follow where Jesus leads, and He will not permit you to end up in error (John 7:17). 12. Who will be on the Lord's side in the battle of Armageddon? Answer: In this final battle, the angels of heaven (Hebrews 1:13, 14; Matthew 13:41, 42) and God's people--the remnant (Revelation 12:17)--will be allied with Jesus, who leads the armies of heaven (Revelation 19:11-16) against Satan and his supporters. The angels of heaven will be on the side of God's people in earth's final battle. God's remnant is composed of those who refuse the falsehoods of Babylon (Study Guide 23 will give additional details). They are known for: (1) their love of Jesus (1 John 5:2, 3), (2) their loyalty to and faith in Him (Revelation 14:12), and (3) their firm obedience to His Word and commandments (Revelation 12:17; John 8:31, 32). 13. What will be Satan's strategy in this final conflict between God's truth and Satan's lies? Answer: Though Satan hates God and His Son, he rarely admits it openly. In fact, he and his demons will pose as holy angels and as devoted Christian clergymen (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). What he presents as evidence for his side will seem so righteous, spiritual, and Jesus-like that nearly everybody on earth will be deceived and follow him (Matthew 24:24). He will doubtless use the Bible, as he did when tempting Jesus in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1, 11). Satan's logic is so persuasive that it deceived one-third of the angels of heaven, Adam and Eve, and (at the time of the Flood) everybody on earth except eight people. In the end time, Satan will deceive all who do not demand clear Scripture proof for every Bible doctrine. 14. What is God's counter-strategy? "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." Isaiah 8:20. Answer: God always counters Satan's lies with Bible truth. When tempted by Satan in the wilderness, Jesus repeatedly quoted Scripture (Matthew 4:1-11). God's Word exposes Satan's strategies. Through His remnant people, God will tell the truth about the unbiblical nature of Babylon the great. He will make it clear that Babylon is presenting a false gospel (Galatians 1:8-12) which has opened the door wide for billions to be deceived and lost. God's countermovement is outlined in the great three angels' messages of Revelation 14:6-14, which we are examining in nine of the 27 Study Guides in this series. These three fantastic messages expose and warn against Satan's lies and counterfeits and call people to worship God and obey Him, not only in spirit but in Bible truth as well. 15. Will God's end-time messages of warning and hope be effective? "After these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory." Revelation 18:1. Answer: In Scripture, angels represent messengers or messages (Hebrews 1:13, 14). God's end-time appeal is symbolized by a mighty angel whose power is so great that the entire world is lightened with God's truth and glory. This final, God-given message will go to the inhabitants of the entire world (Revelation 14:6; Mark 16:15; Matthew 24:14). God's end-time message will bring glorious truth and light to every person on earth. 16. What final, urgent appeal will Jesus make to those who are in Babylon? Answer: He will say: "Come out of her [Babylon], my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities." Revelation 18:4, 5. Please notice that Jesus refers to many people in Babylon as "my people." There are millions of sincere Christians in Babylon who have not yet heard this urgent warning message. These people love the Lord supremely, and Jesus says they are His children. When Jesus' end-time appeal is given to all the world, His true people will come out of Babylon and follow Him. 17. How will Jesus' people, who are in Babylon, respond when they hear His appeal to come out? Answer: Jesus gives the answer. He says, "Other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd." "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." John 10:16, 27. Jesus recognizes His children who are in Babylon. Further, He promises to call them out of Babylon before it is destroyed. And, most glorious of all, Jesus promises that His people who are yet in Babylon will hear and recognize His voice and come out to safety. Note: This is the seventh Study Guide in our series of nine on the three angels' messages of Revelation 14:6-14. Our next Study Guide will describe God's end-time church so plainly that you cannot fail to recognize it. Thought Questions 1. Shouldn't I remain in Babylon and try to reform her instead of coming out? Revelation 18:4 No. Jesus says Babylon is going to be destroyed, not reformed. She will become hopelessly drunk with her wine (identified as false doctrine in Revelation 18:5, 6). It is for this reason that He calls His people out (Revelation 18:4). 2. Who are the kings of the east of Revelation 16:12? Revelation 16:12 The kings of the east are the Kings (Father and Son) of heaven. They are called kings of the east because that is the direction from which heavenly beings approach the earth. Note the following, for example: A. Jesus' second coming will be from the east (Matthew 24:27). B. God's glory comes from the east (Ezekiel 43:2). C. Revelation?s sealing angel comes from the east (Revelation 7:2). D. The sun, symbolizing Jesus, rises in the east (Malachi 4:2). 3. Does the warning about the fall of Babylon imply that Babylon has not always been fallen? Revelation 14:8 Yes, it does. Many of the churches comprising Babylon have stood strong, tall, and loyal to Jesus in the past. The founders were outstanding men of God who were searching the Bible diligently to discover all of its truth. Not all churches are fallen today. However, any church that teaches mother Babylon's false doctrines and follows her practices could become one of her fallen daughters. 4. When called out of Babylon, where should a Christian go? Revelation 14:12 Find the people who keep God's commandments, have the faith of Jesus, and are preaching the three angels' messages worldwide, and join them (Revelation 14:6-12). Study Guide 23 will fully describe God's church for the last days. 5. What do the 10 kings of Revelation 17:12-16 represent? Revelation 17:12 The 10 kings symbolize the nations of the world. The 10 toes of the image of Daniel chapter 2 and the 10 horns of the monster beast of Daniel chapter 7 symbolized the 10 kingdoms of Europe. However, the meaning is broadened in Revelation chapters 11 through 18 to mean all "the kings of the earth" or "all nations." (See Revelation 16:14; 18:3.) 6. What does the symbolism of "frogs" mean in Revelation 16:13, 14? Revelation 16:13 A frog captures its prey with his tongue, which may symbolize the counterfeit gift of tongues that is sweeping the world today. Please remember that miracles, including the gift of tongues, prove only one thing--supernatural power. But the Bible informs us that supernatural power can be from either God or Satan. It further explains that Satan, posing as an angel of light from heaven (2 Corinthians 11:13-15), will utilize supernatural miracles so effectively that almost the entire world will be deceived and follow him (Revelation 13:3). At present, he is using the counterfeit gift of tongues to weld together churches and religions of all kinds--including pagans and spirit worshipers. Each of these feels that the gift of tongues is proof of authenticity. We Must Test the Spirits The Bible warns that we must test the spirits (1 John 4:1). If they do not agree with the Bible, they are counterfeits (Isaiah 8:19, 20). Further, the true gifts of the Holy Spirit are never given to one who deliberately and knowingly disobeys God (Acts 5:32). There is a true gift of tongues. It is a miraculous enabling to fluently speak foreign languages previously unlearned and unknown by the speaker (Acts 2:4-12). God uses this gift when needed to present His end-time message to those of other languages. It was needed at Pentecost because 17 language groups were in the crowd and His disciples probably knew only one language. 7. Will the New Age movement play a major role in the final end-time conflict between good and evil? Revelation 16:14 Without a doubt! It is strongly involved with the occult, psychic phenomena, and spiritism. Spiritism will certainly be a major factor in the closing drama of earth. Combined with the supernatural power of the counterfeit gift of tongues and allied with the end-time worldwide coalition of churches, spiritism will sweep the globe. The New Age belief in spirit communication and reincarnation is simply old-time paganism in new garb. Its belief in an immortal, undying soul that can communicate with earth-people is the same old falsehood Satan told Eve in Eden: "Ye shall not surely die." Genesis 3:4. (See Study Guide 10 for details on death.) 8. It's obvious that God reveals activities of the Antichrist or papacy in Daniel chapter 7 and Revelation chapters 13, 17, and 18. Is the Antichrist mentioned elsewhere in Scripture? Revelation 13:1 Yes, the beast or Antichrist power (or its activities) are referred to in at least nine prophecies of the Old and New Testaments: Daniel 7; Daniel chapters 8, 9; Daniel 11; Revelation 12; Revelation 13; Revelation 16; Revelation 17; Revelation 18; and Revelation 19. Surely, when God stresses the same power nine different times, He wants us to listen. 9. Did Satan's kingdom called "Babylon" originate at the Tower of Babel? Revelation 18:2 No, it originated when Satan rebelled against God in heaven. In fact, the prophet Isaiah symbolizes Lucifer at the time of his fall from heaven as the king of Babylon (Isaiah 14:4, 12-15). God has looked upon Satan's kingdom as Babylon from the very beginning of sin. Satan’s avowed aim is to conquer God, wipe out God's kingdom, and establish his own rebellious kingdom of Babylon universe-wide. Jesus said there are only two sides (Matthew 7:13, 14). Every soul on earth will finally line up on the side of either Jesus or Babylon. It is a matter of life and death. Those who serve and support Jesus will be saved in His heavenly kingdom. Those who support Babylon will be destroyed by fire. And there is very little time left for decision making. This is why heeding Jesus' end-time warning against Babylon is so extremely crucial and urgent. 10. In Revelation 16:12, what is meant by the waters of the Euphrates River being dried up to prepare the way for the kings of the east? Revelation 16:12 Before the ancient kingdom of Babylon was captured by the Median general Darius, the water of the river Euphrates, which passed underneath the walls of the city, was diverted into a man-made lake bed. This diversion permitted Darius' army to capture the city at night by entering from underneath the walls through the empty riverbed. In the prophecies of Revelation, "water" symbolizes people (Revelation 17:15). Thus, the waters of the river Euphrates refer to the followers of "Babylon the great", whose support dries up when they turn against Babylon with intent to destroy her (Revelation 17:16). This drying up of support for "Babylon the great" assures victory for the kings of the east, the heavenly Father and Son.

AMAZING FACTS BIBLE STUDY. A/F # 22 Hello friends, family, and my brothers, and sisters in Christ. This is Brother Johnny Gass. Welcome to Bible study. Study to show thyself to approved unto God, a Workman unashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 Please share these lessons with everyone you know for the expansion of the kingdom of God. Amazing Facts # 22 The Other Woman. • Good evening, brethren.

    1. Evening devotion for today.

    i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

    *DATE:*
    WEDNESDAY, 11TH MARCH, 2026.

    *SUB-THEME:*
THE GRACE OF GOD IN DIFFICULT TIMES.

    *TOPIC:*
    REJECTION.

    *TEXT:*
    GENESIS 37:18-28.
18 Now Joseph’s brothers saw him in the distance, and before he arrived, they plotted to kill him. [Mat 21:38] [Mar 12:7] [Luk 20:14]
19 “Here comes that dreamer!” they said to one another.
20 “Come now, let us kill him and throw him into one of the pits. We can say that a vicious animal has devoured him. Then we shall see what becomes of his dreams!”
21 When Reuben heard this, he tried to rescue Joseph from their hands. “Let us not take his life,” he said. Gen 42:22
22 “Do not shed his blood. Throw him into this pit in the wilderness, but do not lay a hand on him.” Reuben said this so that he could rescue Joseph from their hands and return him to his father.
23 So when Joseph came to his brothers, they stripped him of his robe—the robe of many colors he was wearing—
24 and they took him and threw him into the pit. Now the pit was empty, with no water in it.
25 And as they sat down to eat a meal, they looked up and saw a caravan of Ishmaelites coming from Gilead. Their camels were carrying spices, balm, and myrrh on their way down to Egypt. [Jer 8:22]
26 Then Judah said to his brothers, “What profit will we gain if we kill our brother and cover up his blood?
27 Come, let us sell him to the Ishmaelites and not lay a hand on him; for he is our brother, our own flesh.” And they agreed.
28 So when the Midianite traders passed by, his brothers pulled Joseph out of the pit and sold him for twenty shekels of silver to the Ishmaelites, who took him to Egypt. Psa 105:17 Act 7:9 [Gen 39:1] [Gen 45:4]

    *TOPIC:*
    REJECTION.

    *THE MESSAGE:*
Rejection occurs when someone or a group is dismissed, refused, or turned down by someone. Rejection can lead to feelings of sadness, low self-esteem, and depression. Joseph was rejected and sold into slavery by his brothers. His brothers' jealousy and resentment of their father's favouritism towards him made them abandon him to strangers. Imagine the emotional pain of Joseph, separated from his loved ones and forced to adapt to a new and challenging environment. Despite all these, Joseph remained resolute in his faith and extended grace to his brothers (Gen. 50:20). This story teaches redemption, forgiveness, and reconciliation.
Can you see God in your situation today?
Fall back on this story and learn, my brothers and sisters. God is faithful.

    *REFLECTION:*
God's presence and care are always guaranteed.

    *PRAYER:*
Oh, God, thank You for not rejecting me. Amen.

    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    ROMANS 8:28.
And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

    *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
    JUDGES 9-12.

Jesus said, ” I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
    John 6:51

Jesus said, “I am come that they might have life..
    John 10:10

    Jesus said, “Abide in ME..
    John 15:4

Jesus said, “Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while..”

    Food for the Human Heart

No bread that is grown on earth will furnish food for the human heart. No nourishment for the body can suffice the deep need of the believer’s soul. Jesus alone can satisfy the longings and desires of the hungry man, for He is the Bread of LIFE. Worldly strivings and fleshly ambitions may briefly sustain an earthly body, while the inner man dies of hunger, for lack of spiritual food that is eternal.

    The Bread from Heaven

The Manna that fed the Israelites was food for bodies – not for the spirit. The Bread that truly came down from heaven – satisfies man’s deepest need. Spiritual bread is no bland wafer or tasteless slice of food. It tastes of mercy and forgiveness, grace and divine love. It is the living God that satisfies the gaping emptiness of the hungry soul. “I Am that Bread of Life” said Jesus, “come to Me and you will never hunger.” How is Christ the Bread of Life? What in the soul corresponds to the desperate cravings of a starving man?

    Man’s Desperate Cravings

The deepest and most intense craving of the stained sinner is FORGIVENESS. The world has no power to still the troubled conscience of the scarlet sinner, but the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world bore our sins: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Isaiah 1:18. He alone forgives our sins – He forgave ALL our sins at Calvary’s Cross, and day by day he continues to forgive and forgive and forgive… If as a blood-bought believer we confess our sin.. in thought, word, deed and motive.. in what we have done and what we have left undone – He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1John 1:9

    Man’s Deep Need

Another deep craving of the believer is HOLINESS. There is no art or make-up that can restore the human soul to moral beauty. No restoration can restore to original nobleness, a soul ravaged by the fires of life: there is none righteous, no, not one. Rom.3:8 – yet through His Spirit, Christ satisfies the hungry heart that aches for holiness. He fragments the proud “Self” – so as to pour in the healing oil of gladness. He empties the resident “Ego”- and fills up the aching void with Himself. He melts the arrogant “Me” – and gently warms the soul with His Beloved Son. He builds up anew with holiness and beauty the loveliness that sin destroyed.

    Man’s Need of Acceptance

Satan has robbed many believers of their full ASSURANCE of eternal salvation, and many crave for reassurance of spiritual life here and eternal life to come. Many seek through good works and spiritual activity to confirm their acceptance.. but Jesus is the Life and the Way and the Truth and He alone can suffice. Jesus has given those who believe Life – and Life more abundantly. He has gone before to open a door – to prepare a home.

    How to Know Christ

Are you longing after God – desirous of His presence? Do you seek to be filled with His Spirit and overwhelmed by His Love? Do you yearn for forgiveness and holiness and assurance? Do you call out with Paul “That I may know Christ – that I may know Him?

    Hungering and Thirsting

Then be reassured Christian – for this is the sign of a healthy spiritual state. He who hungers and thirsts after righteousness will be filled – and that’s a promise. Hungering for more of the Bread of Life is a most blessed thing. Thirsting for the Water of Life is a favoured state, and both will be satisfied. Those who seek Me shall find me when you seek Me with all your heart. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

    Remember!

Time is short : Jesus is coming again soon. Take time with Him : Embrace the moment. Delight in your lonely solitude : That I may know Him : Take time with Him : Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while..

    Remember!

    JESUS is all you need:
I Am the bread of life
    I Am the living bread
I Am the light of the world
I Am the door of the sheepfold
    I Am the good shepherd
I Am the resurrection, and the life
I Am the way, the truth, and the life
I Am the vine and ye are the branches
    I Am Alpha and Omega,
I Am the beginning and the end
I Am the first and the last.
I Am the root and the offspring of David,
I Am the bright and morning star
REST IN ME : ABIDE IN ME : FEED ON ME

    2. Evening Prayer for today.

    i. Evening Prayer

To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth. God [is] our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. ⏤ Psalm 46:1

Prayer is the mighty engine that is to move the missionary work. ⏤ A.B. Simpson

We thank You, our Father, for the privilege of trusting You and abiding in Your love. We thank You that in this great world of peril, You are accessible everywhere, that wherever we are, we can find You—and, finding You, be safe. You are a very present help in times of trouble. You are our refuge and our rock, our high tower, our deliverer, and our shield. We are glad that we are Your redeemed children and that You care for us with infinite tenderness. We rejoice in the privilege of having You as our hearts' home.

We are Yours, O God, for You have made and redeemed us. We confess ourselves Yours and would consecrate ourselves to You. We have tried to serve You today and to be faithful to You. Where we have failed, may You forgive us. We bring the broken things of our obedience and service now to Your feet—we have nothing but broken things to bring. Accept them in Jesus' precious name, and use them in Your service.

We have many interests that are dear to our hearts, on which we would ask Your blessing at the close of the day. Bless our common tasks. It is not easy. Much of it is wearisome—the same rounds day after day. May the very routine do us good, teaching us to be patient and diligent, prompt and energetic, earnest and faithful. May these tasks all be part of the Father's business, and may we do all of them in the name of Jesus, and thus find joy and delight in them.

We pray also for all our spiritual interests, the things that concern our souls. Let nothing harm us. May all things work together for good to us. Receive us now to rest in Your care, we ask in Jesus' precious name. Amen.

    1. Morning devotion for today.

    i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. THURSDAY MARCH 12, 2026.
"THE BIBLE IS GOD SPEAKING TO YOU (1)"
‘…The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.’
    John 6:63 KJV

DID YOU know that the longest telegraphic message ever dispatched was in May, 1881? It carried 188,000 words. It was printed in full that day in the Chicago Times. One of the nation’s leading newspapers gave space for four Gospels, the Acts of the Apostles and the Epistle to the Romans. ‘A triumph of publicity’, was the verdict of the nation’s press. All this was done because the Revised Version of the New Testament in English was on sale that day. In New York City, 33,000 copies were sold within 24 hours, setting a new sales record for any book. Why does the Bible remain the world’s most widely read book? For one simple reason: you read every other book - the Bible reads you! You say, ‘But I don’t get a lot out of the Bible when I read it.’ You are not alone; many people say the same thing. But it doesn’t have to be that way. F. B. Meyer, one of history’s great Bible teachers, writes, ‘Read the Bible not as a newspaper, but as a love letter. If a cluster of heavenly fruit hangs within your reach, gather it. If a promise lies upon the page as a blank cheque, cash it. If a prayer is recorded, launch it as a feathered arrow from the bow of your desire.’ Why do we keep going back to the Bible? Because in a world where trust is in short supply, ‘…Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave…’ (1 Kings 8:56 NIV).

ii. THE CHALLENGE OF WORLD EVANGELISM

"When I say to a wicked person: 'You will surely die' and you do not warn them… that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood." - Ezekiel 3:18

God loved man when he created the world. In John 3:16, Jesus says: 'For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.' God gave His Son for the mankind. God wants us, the Church, to have the same vision.

    A different vision

Many Christians, also spiritual leaders, have a local vision. They do not look further than the boundaries of their community. Some have a larger vision and are interested in their city. However, that is too limited. Others go a step further and go beyond the boundaries of their city and envisioning a future of the province or state. However, this is also very local. Then there are Christians who have a vision for their nation. They dare to organize activities to spread the gospel in their country. Praise the Lord for such people and leaders! Some go even further and have a vision for their continent and organize campaigns in many countries.

    A vision for the world

However, there are only a few church leaders who have a world vision, who see the world as God sees it: 'The field is the world' (Matthew 13:38). They want to go into all the world. You belong to this group of people with a global view if you support the vision of the Johan Maasbach World Mission.

Many people do not understand that there are hundreds of millions of people in the world who have never heard the great gospel yet. These people are also entitled to hear the message. Should we only think of ourselves? Would God be more interested in us than in those millions who are still unreached? It is my prayer that God will give you a vision for the world through His Holy Spirit.

    2. Morning Prayer for today.

    i. Morning Prayer

Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. ⏤ Psalm 119:105

The greatest thing anyone can do for God and man is to pray. ⏤ S.D. Gordon

Our Father in Heaven, we, Your earthly children, worship You. We thank You for Your word, which we can read at the opening of the day, taking it as a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. May it be to us indeed a light this day, shining for us and showing us the way of holiness. We always need a divine lamp, for the earth is dark. Sin has made it perilous to travel on these treacherous ways without a lamp. No human friend can guide us infallibly. We cannot guide ourselves. We would never find the way home were it not for the light of truth which You have given, which makes every smallest part of the path through this world clear and plain if we will walk in the light.

Let us not try to walk in the light of our own understanding, stumbling and falling. We put our hands in Yours this morning, and we would be led by You all day. We do not know where our paths will take us. It may be that darkness lies before us, or hard and rough ways, or that we must enter some Gethsemane. Lead us, O Jesus, where You will, and give us grace to follow submissively.

We seek Your blessing upon all the work of this day. Show us what You would have us do. May we find the tasks You have in Your plan and purpose for us, and then do them faithfully. Let us never resist Your gracious leading. Enable us always to do Your will, as it is done in Heaven. Bless us . . .
    In our home life,
    In our friendships,
    In our social life,
    In our play and work,
    In our praying and serving,
    In our toil and struggle,
    In our joy and sorrow.

We ask all in the name of Jesus our Savior. Amen.

    Good evening, brethren.

Man’s Need of Acceptance Satan has robbed many believers of their full ASSURANCE of eternal salvation, and many crave for reassurance of spiritual life here and eternal life to come. Many seek through good works and spiritual activity to confirm their acceptance.. but Jesus is the Life and the Way and the Truth and He alone can suffice. Jesus has given those who believe Life – and Life more abundantly. He has gone before to open a door – to prepare a home. How to Know Christ Are you longing after God – desirous of His presence? Do you seek to be filled with His Spirit and overwhelmed by His Love? Do you yearn for forgiveness and holiness and assurance? Do you call out with Paul “That I may know Christ – that I may know Him? Hungering and Thirsting Then be reassured Christian – for this is the sign of a healthy spiritual state. Remember! JESUS is all you need: I Am the bread of life I Am the living bread I Am the light of the world I Am the door of the sheepfold I Am the good shepherd I Am the resurrection, and the life I Am the way, the truth, and the life I Am the vine and ye are the branches I Am Alpha and Omega, I Am the beginning and the end I Am the first and the last. I Am the root and the offspring of David, I Am the bright and morning star REST IN ME : ABIDE IN ME : FEED ON ME Post navigation Previous Post Previous Best Friends Proudly powered by WordPress. 2. Evening Prayer for today. i. Evening Prayer To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth. God [is] our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. ⏤ Psalm 46:1 Prayer is the mighty engine that is to move the missionary work. ⏤ A.B. Simpson We thank You, our Father, for the privilege of trusting You and abiding in Your love. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/66/evening #taptapstudio #youdevotion.
