IT IS ABOUT SPIRITUAL WEALTH AND NOT PROSPERITY GOSPEL. "BELOVED, I WISH above all things that though may prosper and BE IN HEALTH, even as thy soul prospers" [3 John.2] This was a letter written by John to his spiritual son Gius. But, as you can see, in the capitalized words, the letter reveals a true heart of any father to his child. 1) BELOVED - there is no doubt a father loves his child just like our heavenly father does beyond our earthly fathers. You are a beloved child! 2) WISH - this is a strong term meaning that the prosperity of a child does not depend only on the father's love but the child's obedience to TRUTH as well [verse 4] so we all have a part to play in our own growth physical or spiritual no matter how tall ang great our parents are in these areas. WE MUST ALSO WALK THE TRUTH NOT JUST TALK ABOUT IT! Yes, the father loves you, but you have a part to play for your health and in your growth its it's called, SUBMISSION and OBEDIENCE to TRUTH . Don't be deceived in life, one reaps what they sow regardless of where they come from. 3) PROSPERITY goes hand in hand with HEALTH. "I wish above all things that you may PROSPER and BE uin HEALTH" what is prosperity without health? They say THE GREATEST WEALTH IS HEALTH, otherwise what is wealth without health? You can't enjoy your wealth unhealthy! In the physical, it might all go to the doctors and in the spirutual it ruins quality life. For example a family has everything others admire from outside but within those walls is hell on earth because of sins. Solomon calls them little foxes that ruin the vine. Another example is a country blessed with wealth and resources but because of corruption, hatred, tribalism others suffer. So prosperity really goes together with health spiritually as well as physically. 4) BE IN HEALTH - I can almost feel John's heart in his desire/wish. ASK ANY NURSE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE IN HEALTH? There are four things needed to BE IN HEALTH both in the physical and the spiritual. a) NUTRITION: 1 Timothy 4:6 is clear on this "....thou shall be a good minister of Jesus Christ NOURISHED UP in the WORDS of FAITH and a good DOCTRINE, whereunto thou has attained. Guys feed on the word there's no short cut! You see christians eating healthy, taking suppliments, and proteins juice but don't even own a bible? And if they do its collecting dust. They they still expect to be healthy spiritually? b) EXERCISE: same 1 Timothy.4:7-8 "...EXERCISE thyself unto godliness. For bodily exercise profits little but godliness is profitable unto all things, having a promise of thelife that now is, and of that which is to come. DO YOU PRACTICE THE TRUTH OR ARE YOU JUST PASSIVE? We attend gyms to keep fit, and look slick and attractive but won't exercise spiritually to look the same? The world is watching. Are you fit and attrctive spiritually? c) CLEANLINESS - keep away from pathogens, disease causing microorganisms. There's a saying thats says CLEANLINESS IS NEXT TO GODLINESS. I tend to agree with this physically and spiritually too for 2 Corinthians.7:1 tells us to CLEANSE OURSELVES FROM ALL FILTHINESS OF THE FLESH AND SPIRIT. PERFECTING HOLINESSIN THE FEAR OF GOD. Therefore let us SHUN SIN THAT DEFILES US. A challenge to everyone here. If Jesus was to speak with your inner circle, friends and coworkers what will they have to say about you? Will you be clean? 😌 d) REST - The concept of SABBATH. This is for RESTORATION and BALANCE and there's blessing in keeping it. Don't break yourself working 24/7. Occupied with occupation. Do you know it is our busy life that keeps us away from important fellowships and communion with God, family and friends KEEP THE SABBATH HOLY, it was given for such! Enjoy yourself @lifelight.

When young Jesus said "...knew ye not that I must be about my Father's business" [LUKE.2:49] It got me thinking! How could I distinguish HIS BUSINESS from MY BUSYNESS? I asked myself. Because the last time I checked, When Moses was sent to free the Israelites from the Egyptian bondage to worship the LORD these were the exact words of Pharaoh, "...they be IDLE...Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein, and let them not regard VAIN WORDS." [EXODUS.5:1-9] In others words, Pharaoh, the god of this world has away of keeping us BUSY from SCRIPTURES! Then it dawned on me that his BUSY means: Being Under Satan's Yoke! How gracious it is that we are yoked to the one whose yoke is easy and burden light.

Do you know why the Bible refers to our Lord as the Author and Finisher of our Faith in Heb.12:6? It is because He aught to take preeminence in our walk with Him. He is the beginner, the finisher and everything in between of our pilgrimage. What do I mean? CHRIST IS THE OBJECT OF OUR FAITH AND THE SUBJECT OF OUR EXPERIENCES. This realization, my friends, has profoundly influenced my Christian walk.
