  • THE TRUTHRENEWS YOUR MIND
Biblical sanctification refers to the process of being set apart and made holy by God
It involves a transformation of the believer's heart, mind, and actions, enabling them to live a life that honors and pleases God
    Romans 12:2 NIV
[2] Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

We are born evil with minds that were corrupted by the sin of Adam and Eve who had the original factory setting
This is why you don't need to teach a baby how to hit, they just hit because it's already in them. You don't need to teach a child how to steal, they just steal even though they know it's wrong because it's already in them🫣
As we grow in this evil world we conform to it's pattern by learning how to do more evil things that we see all around us
When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior, we become born again, positionally sanctified in Christ, declared holy and set apart by God
    1 Corinthians 6:11 NIV
[11] And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

But There's a problem Even though we are born again spiritually, our minds, thoughts and actions are still corrupted and evil Meaning God has done his part in saving us and starting the process
Then we have to start doing our part with God's help, we must start filling our minds with God's truth. God's truth is only found in his word, the Bible, and it's the way we grow in holiness and conformity to Christ's image
    2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV
[18] And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Sanctification is a work of God, accomplished through the Holy Spirit's power and the Word of God
    1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 NIV
[23] May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. [24] The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.

As we start reading the word, going to a Bible believing church, surrounding ourselves with other Christians, we start to separate ourselves from sin and begin the pursuit of righteousness
    1 Thessalonians 4:7 NIV
[7] For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.

Our sanctification involves obedience to God's will, demonstrated through a desire to follow His commands and live according to His Word as we keep reading it and applying it, we keep growing, making obedience easier as we see the fruits of the spirit growing in our lives
As we grow Jesus leads us to a life of holiness, characterized by a pursuit of purity, humility and love, demonstrating the reality of our faith and the work of God in our lives
When Jesus prayed for the disciples he made it clear how they and us can be sanctified
    John 17:15-17 NIV
[15] My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. [16] They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. [17] Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

Therefore biblical sanctification is a vital aspect of the Christian life, enabling believers to live a life that honors God and reflects His character

  • King Jesus all over Psalm 23
    THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD
    John 10:11
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
    I SHALL NOT WANT
    Matthew 6:33
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
HE MAKES ME LIE DOWN IN GREEN PASTURES
    Matthew 11:28
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
HE LEADS ME BESIDE STILL WATERS
    John 10:27
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
    HE RESTORES MY SOUL
    2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
HE LEADS ME IN PATHS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR HIS NAMES SAKE🫡
    1 Corinthians 1:30
It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.
THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH I FEAR NO EVIL
    1 John 4:4
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
    FOR YOU ARE WITH ME
    Genesis 28:15
I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”
YOUR ROD AND YOUR STAFF THE COMFORT ME
    Proverbs 3:11-12
My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.
YOU PREPARE A TABLE IN THE PRESENCE OF MY ENEMIES
    Isaiah 25:6
On this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine— the best of meats and the finest of wines.
YOU ANOINT MY HEAD WITH OIL
    Hebrews 1:9
You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.”
    MY CUP RUNS OVER
    1 Corinthians 10:16
Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?
SURELY GOODNESS AND LOVE WILL FOLLOW ME ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE
    John 10:28-29
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.

  • Kingdom series 1
The "treasure in a field" is a short parable where Jesus compares the Kingdom of Heaven to a treasure a man discovers hidden in a field
Overjoyed by the find, the man sells everything he owns to buy the field, thereby securing the treasure
The parable teaches that God's Kingdom is of such immense value that one should be willing to give up all worldly possessions and desires to obtain it, just as the man sacrifices everything for the hidden treasure
    The Treasure
Represents the immense, unparalleled value of God's Kingdom
    The Field
Symbolizes the earthly, material existence and the world where the treasure is concealed
    The Man
Represents a person who discovers the Kingdom of Heaven and, in his joy, chooses to give up everything for it
The Act of Buying the Field
Signifies the ultimate sacrifice and commitment required to fully obtain the Kingdom of Heaven
The parable suggests that fully entering God's Kingdom requires a willingness to abandon all worldly things, because the Kingdom is far more valuable than anything in this life
The man's act is described as being done "in his joy", highlighting that the discovery of the Kingdom brings a profound and exhilarating joy that motivates the sacrifice which I've seen in my own life. Though it's a process, which God himself helps us with. The more we shed the old things, the more we see the new things
    2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV
[17] Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

The treasure's hidden nature suggests that the Kingdom of Heaven may not always be obvious or easy to find, but it is worth a dedicated search and discovery because after discovery, your life will never be the same

  • Apostles and Prophets TRUTH BOMB
The Bible gives plenty of evidence that the era of the Apostles and Prophets has ceased because
    1) The foundation of the Church was laid
    Ephesians 2:19-20 NIV
[19] Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, [20] built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.

    2) The canon of Scripture is complete and closed, meaning Christ's revelation through the scriptures is sufficient for all of God's purposes
The church being built on the unique, foundational role of Apostles and prophets, is a foundation that, once laid, does not need to be laid again
The Bible is very clear that God's final revelation came through His Son and that further public revelation is unnecessary, with warnings against adding to His Word
    Revelation 22:18-19 NIV
[18] I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. [19] And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.

The church is built on the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone
The laying of this foundation was a unique event in the early church, with a limited duration, and once laid, it was finished
The Bible makes it very clear that the canon of Scripture is closed, and the written Word of God is sufficient and complete for all matters of faith and practice
    2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV
[16] All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, [17] so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

God has provided His inerrant and infallible Word through these foundational figures, making further living Prophets and Apostles unnecessary for transmitting new divine revelation
    Hebrews 1:1-2 NIV
[1] In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, [2] but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.

Christ is the Final Revelation, meaning that God NO longer has to speak through the prophets or Apostles because He has already said, EVERYTHING He needs to say through Jesus Christ
MEANING WE EITHER TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT, we cannot ADD to IT
Jesus represents the fullness of God's divine revelation, and the age of Prophets delivering any revelations ended with Him
The New Testament Apostles had a specific qualification
They had to be witnesses of the resurrected Christ, hence why Jesus appeared to Paul in such a dramatic encounter
    Acts 9:3-6 NIV
[3] As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. [4] He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” [5] “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. [6] “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

The original 12 Apostles were chosen directly by Jesus, NOT by themselves or ordained by some church
An argument can be made for the replacement of Judas to Matthias but this still holds weight because he was ordained by those who walked and ate with Jesus
The role of the Old Testament Prophet, who conveyed new revelations from God, found its fulfillment in Christ
    Deuteronomy 18:15-20 NIV
[15] The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him. [16] For this is what you asked of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly when you said, “Let us not hear the voice of the Lord our God nor see this great fire anymore, or we will die.” [17] The Lord said to me: “What they say is good. [18] I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him. [19] I myself will call to account anyone who does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name. [20] But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death.”

Jesus was the Prophet like Moses, and no additional public revelations beyond Christ and His APPOINTED Apostles are necessary ANYMORE
