Glory be to God for teaching children about environmental protection through the "school environment" program, an initiative of SAFI (Solidarity for Action and Innovative Functioning) in schools, with the goal of planting three thousand fruit trees in schools.
Jesus did not curse a "green tree" in the Gospels, but a barren (or fruitless) fig tree, an episode reported in Matthew 21:18-22 and Mark 11:12-14, 20-25.
This symbolic action illustrates a teaching about faith and spiritual barrenness.
Biblical context Jesus, hungry on his way to Jerusalem, approaches a fig tree covered with leaves but without fruit, whether out of season or not. He curses it, saying, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again!" The next day, the tree is withered to its roots.
This foreshadows the judgment on the temple and Israel, which is fruitless despite appearances.
