i had a conversation with a non believing friend today and we were talking about death. i said that a little part of me was jealous when believers died because they got to go to heaven and she told me she was concerned about my mental health. i just told her I wasn’t going to kill myself to go to heaven but I long to be in God’s presence conpletely. i don’t think she understood. How do you talk to non believers about death. she and I have had many conversations about my faith. she professes to be Christian but lives her life conformed to the world . Any thoughts?

Has anyone used this Bible before? I love studying prophecy and I saw this and thought it would be good.

I just got this book in the mail today. It is by Oliver B Greene. I’m looking forward to reading it!

I think i may need to delete my account on here. The fake profiles are so overwhelming! I really hope the admins of this site do more verification and actually make verifying your profile a requirement not just optional. Yesterday I received a friend request from someone using pictures of someone I know! I reported the profile so I hope it was removed.

I have been following the Bible Recap plan. I’m on my second year through the Bible. Today I re-read John 6. I know that Jesus is talking to them about spiritual matters not literal matters. I also see that they were offended because they took His words literally. I am a very literal person also so the first time I read this chapter it was tough. I am starting to grasp the concepts He talks about. Can anyone else shed some more light on His statements? I have a Max Lucado commentary on John I need to dig it out and read the commentary on Chapter 6. How does everyone else understand John 6?

Meet the newest member of my family this is Mavis! She is a 5 year old girl. She just looked so sad at the humane society that I just had to adopt her!

In my Bible Study Fellowship Bible Study we are studying Daniel. Chapter 3:16-18 has been sticking in my mind! It doesn’t matter to them if they live or die they will not worship the statue. I love the respectful defiance.

It is a wonderful thing to get good stuff in the mail when you are sick! I now own two physical volumes of the ESV Expository Commentary, I also have one or two in ebooks. I can’t remember how many . When I have extra money I order a volume! Someday I hope to have all the volumes!

To all of my new friends on here who message me constantly. I am not interested in anything but friendships with my brothers and sisters in Christ. I do not mind talking to you about the Bible or God but I will no longer engage in the conversations I have seen. So please just stop messaging me unless you want to talk about God or the Bible. I am focusing on the things of God as Paul says in 1 Corinthians 7. I am not lonely and I’m not desperately looking for a relationship. I have an amazing, close personal relationship with God.

At church we have been going through Genesis and this still blows me away!

So excited to have finished the Old Testament using the Bible Recap reading plan! This is my second time through the Bible and every time I read it, I learn so much more. God has granted me so much wisdom through His word.

The last week has been a difficult week for me. I’m still grieving for my brother, who passed away on August 25, then comes the murder of Charlie Kirk and the shooting at the high school in CO. I am so tired of everyone telling me how hate filled Charlie Kirk was, when in every video I don’t see hate. I see someone trying to reach out to sinners and help them turn to God and Jesus. My views are changing to see that I have been one of the people calling sin, good and good, sin. I can definitely see that I need to change my worldview so it is more Biblical.

I have been very saddened lately by the number of people I encounter who demand respect but refuse to show respect for anyone. I know this is a sign of the times as it says in 2 Timothy 3: 1-5. I am especially saddened by those who profess to be Christian and then act that way. I started reading a book called The Unsaved Christian by Dean Inserra because God has put such a burden on my heart for those people. It has been especially hard to talk to them though because as it says in 2 Timothy 3: 5 they act religious but reject the power that would make them godly. They cherry pick the Bible for verses that fit their narrative and the Spirit calls me to gently point out their error so I do and then get verbally attacked. I ask them if they have read the Bible and they say they have only read parts of it. I have taken Bible study classes and I have read the entire Bible and I have found so many read it with the wrong perspective it is my prayer that everyone would read it and see God’s character on every page. His perfect love, justice and mercy. It is my prayer that people stop giving God human emotions or question His actions. Sorry this is long. It has been a burden on my heart for awhile!
