As we commemorate Holy Saturday, it is essential to recognize that this period of silence is just as critical to our faith journey as the promises of resurrection and renewal. This day affords us the chance to examine our lives and the areas where we need courageous adventure—a reckless abandon for the Lord. We are challenged to channel our energies and strengths not only in worship but also in service, community, and engagement with the world around us. By redefining our understanding of inconvenient silences as opportunities for exploration and growth, we can approach our spiritual lives with renewed fervor and a desire to lean into the unknown with trust and anticipation.
Holy Saturday is not an undesired pause between sorrow and joy but a necessary interlude that encourages us to live adventurously for the Lord. The quiet of the tomb serves as a gateway to profound introspection and renewal. As we embrace our wilderness experiences, we nurture an unshakable faith in the promise of resurrection, inspiring us to boldly venture forth, transformed by the very silence we once perceived as inconvenient. The Silence of the Tomb: Embracing the Inconvenience Between Sorrow and Joy Part #3 As we commemorate Holy Saturday, it is essential to recognize that this period of silence is just as critical to our faith journey as the promises of resurrection and renewal. The biblical account of Holy Saturday invites us to adopt the perspective of the disciples during this solemn day. Imagine them huddled together, grappling with their disbelief and sorrow. Being adventurers at heart, they may not have ventured outside the walls that confined them, but internally, they were on a quest—their hearts and minds racing with questions and doubts about what the future held. That waiting, that tension between despair and hope, became their wilderness experience—a theme echoed throughout scripture. Every believer must traverse their own wilderness, confronting the silence that can feel insurmountable. Just as the best adventurers venture into the unknown with courage, so too are we called to endure the silence of our tombs, knowing that joy awaits just beyond.
Exploring the nature of Holy Saturday through the lens of anticipation, we find that silence serves multiple purposes. Silence can be a tool for reflection, propelling us toward deeper spiritual understanding. In our fast-paced society, we often shy away from silence, perceiving it as an inconvenience. Yet, it is in the stillness that we can tune into God's whispers, reorienting our desires and intentions toward His will. Just as the disciples found themselves fraught with confusion, we too may struggle to embrace the silence in our lives. This provides an opportunity for spiritual renewal, allowing us to dive deeper into a relationship with God during times of personal desolation. The Silence of the Tomb: Embracing the Inconvenience Between Sorrow and Joy Part #2 The biblical account of Holy Saturday invites us to adopt the perspective of the disciples during this solemn day. Holy Saturday occupies a unique and poignant space in the Christian faith—a day steeped in silence, reflection, and anticipation. While it may seem like an inconvenience between the sorrows of Good Friday and the joys of Easter Sunday, Holy Saturday invites believers to contemplate a profound truth: the silence of the tomb is not merely an interval but a crucial part of the transformative journey from despair to hope.
To consider the time Jesus spent dead in the tomb is to confront the depths of human sorrow and suffering. The Gospel narratives present this period as a time when the world was engulfed in darkness, despair, and uncertainty. For the disciples, their teacher and friend lay lifeless, and their hopes seemed utterly dashed. This day becomes an emblem of waiting—an experience we all know too well. We encounter moments in life that mirror this silent interlude where we feel lost, abandoned, and without direction. However, it is precisely in these moments of stillness that the seeds of transformation are sown. Just as nature flourishes anew after periods of dormancy, we too are invited to engage with our struggles in search of renewal. The Silence of the Tomb: Embracing the Inconvenience Between Sorrow and Joy Part #1 Holy Saturday occupies a unique and poignant space in the Christian faith—a day steeped in silence, reflection, and anticipation. Have you ever encountered someone who speaks eloquently about their dreams and goals, yet never takes action to make them a reality? It’s a common scenario in our lives, isn’t it?
Benjamin Franklin’s timeless wisdom, “Well done is better than well said,” captures a profound truth that resonates with many of us today.
In a world overflowing with talk and grand declarations, how refreshing would it be to witness more actions backed by the words we hear? Franklin’s insights remind us that real achievement comes not from what we promise but from what we actually accomplish. From the quiet acts of kindness to the loud victories on life’s big stage, the essence of true commitment lies in our deeds.
But why is it so important to emphasize the “done” over the “said”? When we look through the lens of faith and purpose, we can find deeper meanings. This concept echoes throughout history and even finds its voice in the writings of the Apostle James. He raised an essential question, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds?” This powerful statement challenges us to reflect on the relationship between belief and action.
Can faith alone drive meaningful change, or does it require manifested effort to truly flourish? James boldly asserts that our deeds serve as evidence of our faith. Just as words without action can often feel empty, faith without tangible manifestations can seem just as hollow. When we embody our beliefs through our actions, we create a compelling testament to the truth we hold inside.
Imagine living in a community where every spoken word was met with corresponding action. What would that world look like? A place where promises are upheld, and intentions are validated through genuine effort. This is the essence of being proactive in our faith and our lives—transforming aspirations into realities through the diligent pursuit of our goals.
To dive deeper, let’s consider the idea that actions can inspire others. When we take the initiative to live out our beliefs, we become a source of motivation for those around us. Who hasn’t been inspired by someone turning their words into action, striving to make a difference? Our deeds can set a ripple effect into motion, encouraging those who witness them to do the same.
But how can we ensure that our actions align with our values? This is a pivotal question in our journey of self-discovery and personal growth. Begin by taking small steps. Start with small, achievable goals that reflect your values, and soon enough, you’ll build up to larger, more impactful actions. Whether it’s lending a helping hand to someone in need, volunteering in your community, or simply being a support for a friend, each act of love and kindness brings us closer to a life lived authentically.
As we reflect on the nature of our faith and the actions that stem from it, let’s remember that perfection is not the aim. It’s about progress, not perfection! Each day offers an opportunity for us to show our growth through our deeds. We may stumble and fall as we navigate through challenges, but it’s essential to get back up and try again. The journey of faith is not about never failing; it’s about continuously striving and serving.
In a culture where words can easily become noise, what will it take for you to shift from talking about your dreams to doing something about them today? Where can you inject action into your faith? Share your thoughts! Let's create a movement where our words align with our actions, fostering a culture where good deeds illuminate the world.
Remember, actions speak louder than words—let’s make each action count and show the world what faith in action truly looks like! Together, let’s ignite the spark of true commitment, one deed at a time! These powerful words remind us just how much our self-worth is intertwined with our understanding of who we are—especially for those of us who find our identity in Christ. It’s so easy to let the world dictate our value, isn’t it? But Eleanor’s insight reminds us that we hold the keys to our self-perception.
Knowing who we are in Christ is the first step towards true empowerment and confidence. The Bible tells us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). This means our worth isn't determined by societal and religious standards or the opinions of others. Instead, it's deeply rooted in the fact that we are beloved children of God, created with purpose and intention.
However, recognizing this truth isn't always easy; it requires consistent surrender to God’s control over our lives. Surrendering our insecurities, doubts, and fears is not a one-time act but a continuous journey. It means letting go of what others say and embracing the voice of our Creator. Trust me, it's a challenge! But even in the struggle, we find strength in knowing that God loves us unconditionally and has a plan for us.
So, how do we start this process? It begins with self-reflection and prayer. Ask yourself, “What lies have I believed about myself?” Bring these thoughts to God, and let Him reshape them into the truth of who you are in Him. Surrounding yourself with uplifting and positive influences—friends, family, or even a community of faith—can also nurture a healthy self-image.
But remember, we have to do our part: not making a practice of sin, renewing our minds in God's written word as our cornerstone towards holiness.
Let’s start a conversation! What are some ways you've learned to embrace your identity in Christ? Have you struggled with letting others' opinions affect your self-worth? Share your thoughts below, and let’s encourage one another on this important journey.

- Using Your Talents: A Christian Perspective on Life and Business Success
Have you ever felt the weight of your untapped potential? In the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30), Jesus shares a profound lesson on the importance of recognizing and utilizing the unique gifts God has bestowed upon each of us. This parable is not just a story; it is a blueprint for success, both in life and in business.
In the parable, a master entrusts his servants with varying amounts of talents—gold coins—before embarking on a journey. The first two servants invest their talents and double their worth, while the third servant hides his talent out of fear. Upon the master’s return, he praises the first two servants for their faithfulness and diligence, but reprimands the third for his inaction.
This story prompts us to ask: Are we like the first two servants, taking risks and investing our gifts, or are we more like the third servant, hiding our potential out of fear?
In our daily lives, particularly in the business world, we often grapple with self-doubt and the fear of failure. We wait for the right moment, the perfect opportunity, or even someone else’s approval before taking action. However, God calls us to be proactive in using our gifts! As scripture reminds us in 1 Peter 4:10, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” How often do we consider our businesses as ministries?
Business success, like life success, starts with recognizing that our talents are not merely for personal gain but are instruments for serving and uplifting others. Consider the entrepreneurial spirit of Solomon, who wrote in Proverbs 16:3, “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” When we release our fears and align our ambitions with God's purpose, our success becomes a testimony of His faithfulness.
One powerful quote to hold close is from Tyler Perry, who said, “I had to get to the place where I understood that when God gives you a gift, it is not just for you. It is to be shared.” Are you sharing your gifts? Are you investing in your community, your colleagues, and your family through your talents?
Taking Action: Steps to Utilize Your Talents
Identify Your Talents: Spend time in prayer and self-reflection to uncover the gifts and opportunities God has granted you.
Set Faith-Driven Goals: Establish goals that align not only with your dreams but also with your purpose in serving others. Remember Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Be Bold!: Step out in faith. Success requires action, and often, that means taking calculated risks. Don’t allow the fear of failure to paralyze you—Jesus tells us, “Do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows” (Matthew 10:31).
Invest in Others*l: Just as the master entrusted talents to his servants, consider mentoring others or collaborating to amplify both your successes. Serving one another enriches our own journeys.
Reflect on Progress: Regularly assess your growth, both personally and within your business. Celebrate the small victories, as every step forward is a testament to God’s provision and guidance.
While the parable concludes with the phrase, “For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance,” let us not forget the critical message hidden in the lesson. God desires us to engage with our talents actively!
As we embark on our journeys this week, let’s carry with us the spirit of the faithful servants. Let’s choose courage over fear, action over inaction, and servitude over self-focus. The world is waiting for your unique contribution! What talents are you ready to unveil?

Today, I want to share with you a beautiful verse from scripture: Jeremiah 31:25, “I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.” What a profound promise from God! Just as the weather changes, so can our spirits be refreshed by His presence.

- Good morning, friends!
It’s a chilly Wednesday, March 11th, here in Missouri. As I cozy up with a dark, deep, rich cup of coffee ️ and a toasted bagel slathered in hand-whipped real butter , I'm listening to the distant rumble of early thunderstorms. Be sure to grab an umbrella if you're heading out today! ️
As for the weather update, we're looking at highs in the low 60s today and lows dipping into the low 30s tonight. Just when you thought spring was around the corner, Mother Nature reminds us that she still controls the thermostat!
You know you’re from Missouri when you can spot “Party Cove” at Lake of the Ozarks — such a fun spot for boat gatherings and a lively atmosphere, especially during the annual Lake of the Ozarks Shootout! Who else loves those summer days spent on the water?
In the spirit of reflection, I want to share a devotion that resonates deep within me today: Psalm 127:1-2 reminds us, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat— for he grants sleep to those he loves.”
This scripture hits home, doesn’t it? We often hustle and toil, believing we are in control of our success and security. Yet, it’s a powerful reminder that true security and success are blessings from God. It’s okay to work hard, but let’s never forget who holds the real power in our lives!
And as we pause to reflect, let's also celebrate today’s special occasion—National Johnny Appleseed Day! Today we honor the legacy of John Chapman, better known as Johnny Appleseed, who introduced apple trees across the U.S. and played a vital role in shaping America’s agricultural landscape. It’s fascinating how his story has evolved into folklore but ultimately celebrates a real-life conservation hero!
To commemorate this day, let’s indulge in some delicious snacks—how about some slices of Honeycrisp apples? They’re sweet, crunchy, and juicy, perfect for a refreshing treat. And if you wanna elevate that experience, try them with some caramel dip. Who's ready to snack with me?
So let’s embrace this day with gratitude! Whether it's the weather, our beloved Missouri memories, or a reminder of God’s grace, there’s so much to appreciate. I’d love to hear what you all are up to today! What’s your favorite way to enjoy apples, or what’s your go-to snack at this springtime season? Let’s chat in the comments!

We’re looking at a mix of sunshine and clouds, with highs climbing into the upper 70s and lows dipping to the low 60s.
Keep in mind, though, that we might see some rain sneaking in overnight on Tuesday. And just a heads up—there’s another severe weather threat looming for the Central US this week, so let’s stay tuned to our weather news!
Now, let me take a moment to reflect on being a Missourian. You know you’re from Missouri when... you measure distance in minutes! Seriously, there’s something special about the way we navigate our lives here—everything from a trip to the grocery store to a visit with friends feels personal and immediate. It shows how connected we are to our communities and the people around us.
As I sip my morning coffee, my heart turns to Scripture, specifically Psalm 62:1: “Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from Him.”
This beautiful verse serves as a powerful declaration of trust, reassuring us that true peace and security come from no one but God. In a world that often feels chaotic, it’s comforting to know that we can pause our striving and lean into God's strength. He invites us into His presence, promising rest even during life’s trials. What a profound reminder for all of us this morning!
Today isn’t just about the weather and peace; it’s also National Get Over It Day! This quirky holiday encourages everyone to take a moment to self-reflect and move on from whatever burdens us.
Originating from an experience shared by Jeff Goldblatt—who was struggling to move past an ex-girlfriend—we see that so many of us find it challenging to let go of hurt. What's great, though, is this day serves as an opportunity to acknowledge those feelings and then consciously decide to leave them behind!
So, how about we embrace today’s spirit? Let’s take some time to really think about what’s been weighing us down. Whether it’s an old disappointment, a challenging relationship, or any lingering negativity—today is the day to shine a light on it and say, “Enough!” Let's encourage one another to not only reflect but to also move forward with a lighter heart.
I’d love to hear from you! What are you letting go of today? How does faith play a role in your ability to move on? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments, and let’s create a space where we can lift each other up!
Remember, with each sunrise, we are given a fresh start. Let’s trust in God’s love and strength as we navigate today and all the days ahead. Let's get out there and embrace the warmth of the sun—with open hearts and a determination to leave the past behind!

- America’s White-Collar Recession: A Cautionary Tale for Our Faith and Future
In a startling shift that many have yet to fully grasp, the United States is facing what has been termed a "white-collar recession." Unlike typical recessions characterized by widespread unemployment, this recession unfolds quietly in the offices of our nation, driven by rapidly advancing technology and an increasingly automated economy. For 29 consecutive months, white-collar payrolls have seen a decline—an unprecedented streak that raises significant concerns not only for the economy but also for individuals and families who find their livelihoods threatened.
The scripture from Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, “To everything, there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” This could not be more relevant today as we navigate the challenges of labor and employment in the age of artificial intelligence.
So, what exactly is a white-collar recession? It can be described as a time when high-skilled jobs, typically characterized by office work and professional services, begin to vanish due to the encroachment of AI technologies. While we’ve been led to believe that unemployment remains relatively stable at around 4.3%, the reality lurking beneath the surface is much grimmer. We see fewer job postings, slower hiring rates, and a structural shift that is transforming the landscape of employment as we know it. The human intelligence that once held a premium is now threatened by machines that can perform tasks faster and more efficiently.
Levels of AI-driven wage deflation have made labor costs a crucial focal point for businesses. In an economy where profit margins are king, the urgency for companies to automate processes is stronger than ever. Companies aren’t just using AI to assist workers; they are deploying technology to replace them. This poses the poignant question: What happens to our economy when the premium on human intelligence begins to vanish?
As we contemplate this trend, it's essential to consider its implications not only on our economy but also on our faith and values. The pursuit of success and stability often leads us to prioritize wealth and material gain. However, as highlighted in Matthew 6:19-21, we are urged to “not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth… but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven.” As the workplace evolves, how can we remain anchored in our faith, cherishing the value of human connections, empathy, and the creativity that sets us apart from machines?
The crisis may not be immediate, but its implications stretch far and wide. Those currently in the workforce—be they engineers, accountants, or administrative professionals—may feel the strain as job security erodes and a sense of purpose begins to fade. We must be open to possible changes in the job market, where AI does not simply replace jobs but transforms the nature of work itself.
Church communities and faith-based organizations can play an integral role in navigating this transition. We are called to advocate for and support those affected, providing not just consolation but also opportunities for learning and growth. Paul reminds us in Ephesians 4:28 to “do honest work with your own hands.” In recognizing and nurturing talents unique to each individual, we can ensure that contributions continue, even in a digitally dominated world.
Let’s start a conversation about how we, as a community, can prepare for the uncertain economic landscape ahead. How do we embrace technology while still fostering meaningful, human-centered employment? What strategies can we employ to ensure that job displacement does not become a permanent fixture of our society?
Though we may feel like we’re standing at the edge of an uncertain future, together in faith, we can rise to meet the challenges posed by this white-collar recession. By fostering resilience, compassion, and unity, we can face the future not with fear but with hope. Remembering always that our true treasure is found not in what we produce, but in the love and community we cultivate.
Together, let us remain vigilant in prayer and action, ensuring that we lift each other up in times of uncertainty. What are your thoughts on this emerging issue? - God made his 'I Am' statements; Jesus, John, and Paul made theirs, and I have mine.
I am who God made me to be; "In His image" and not yours, so stop trying to change people like you think they should be and show them what Christ-like is really all about.
It starts with Philippians 2:12-13 as you actively live out the transformation God has already begun in you with deep reverence, humility, and awe.
It is not about earning salvation through works, but bringing to fruition the inner work of God through obedience, relying on His power to act for His good pleasure.
You see, sin brings death, but obedience brings life!
"Work Out" vs. "Work For" implies taking the salvation already received (by grace) and applying it to daily life, maturing in faith, and allowing God's grace to transform behavior.
"Fear and Trembling" does not mean being terrified of losing salvation, but rather a profound, holy awe and profound respect for God, along with a serious, careful approach to living a holy life. It is a humble recognition of God's authority.
The motivation for this effort is the assurance that "it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose". Knowing that this is a "Continuous Process," It refers to an ongoing journey of sanctification rather than a single, completed event.
Our focus focus is on obedience, humility, and maintaining a faithful witness in the face of challenges; it is a call to take one's spiritual life seriously, not in terror, but in humble, empowered cooperation with God's work in your life.

Good morning, everyone!
As I sip my coffee this morning, I find myself reflecting on the beautiful day ahead here in Texas County, Missouri. Today is starting off warmer than yesterday, with a touch of considerable cloudiness. We’re looking at highs in the low 60s and lows in the upper 30s—perfect sweater weather! ️
You know you're from Missouri when you sometimes think "frog gigging" should be an Olympic sport!
Amidst the cozy vibes and a warm drink, I’m reminded of Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Such a powerful promise! 🏼 This scripture has been a cornerstone for my peace, especially in tough times. When God spoke these words to Israel during their exile, He reassured them of His unwavering presence. It serves as a reminder for all of us today that we don’t have to walk alone; He is with us every step of the way.
Now, aside from the blessings of God, guess what special day it is? Today is National Steakburger Day! Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers® celebrates February 24 as a day to honor their mouthwatering steakburgers.
But because I like a little kitchen adventure, I've decided to make my own at home! I’ll be using an 80/20 mix of ground chuck with some simple magic: a sprinkle of kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, garlic powder, ½ tsp of onion powder, and a slice of sharp cheddar on a brioche roll! Topped off with my favorite mustard-mayo mix, pickles, sliced onions, and fresh lettuce—it’s going to be divine!
I’d love to hear from you! What do you like to put on your steakburger? Share your favorite recipes in the comments! Let’s cook up some tasty ideas together!

- Is Europe Ready For The Antichrist? One In Five Already Want Someone Like Him
“Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first.” - 2 Thessalonians 2:3
Recent surveys revealing that one in five Europeans would welcome a dictatorial leader in certain situations raise significant questions about the continent's political climate. The openness to authoritarianism, particularly if paired with effective governance, speaks volumes about the current societal pressures and fears.
As we witness crises like economic instability, migration challenges, and rising crime rates, it's understandable that some may yearn for strong leadership to provide order and solutions. However, history teaches us that the allure of a charismatic leader can sometimes lead us down a perilous path. The Bible warns of false prophets and the Antichrist, who will manipulate fear and desperation to gain power. With increasing acceptance of limited democratic rights, are we unwittingly placing ourselves in the crosshairs of a future we might come to regret?
The statistics are alarming: a quarter of Europeans express a willingness to forgo accountability in leadership for the sake of efficiency. This creates a dangerous precedent where the very foundations of democracy are questioned. While it's important to desiderate strong leadership in times of uncertainty, we must also champion accountability, transparency, and collective decision-making.
As Christians, we are called to mirror the values of Christ, who preached about the importance of serving others and defending the marginalized. We must stand firm against tyranny, recognizing that the way to true leadership comes from love, humility, and respect for every individual's rights. Let's engage in conversations about our faith and political beliefs, always rooting ourselves in Scripture and seeking God’s guidance.
What do you think? Are Europeans truly ready for a shift towards authoritarianism, or is there still hope for democratic values to prevail? Share your thoughts below! Let’s discuss how we can hold our leaders to account and ensure that our faith leads us toward unity and justice, not division and oppression. Together, we can foster a society that prioritizes love and understanding over fear and control.
Remember, true strength lies not in authoritarian rule, but in the love and wisdom that guide us toward a better future.📰 Is Europe Ready For The Antichrist? One In Five Already Want Someone Like Him 📖 “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first.” - 2 Thessalonians 2:3 Recent surveys revealing that one in five Europeans would welcome a dictatorial leader in certain situations raise significant questions about the continent's political climate. 🙏 🌍 As Christians, we are called to mirror the values of Christ, who preached about the importance of serving others and defending the marginalized. We must stand firm against tyranny, recognizing that the way to true leadership comes from love, humility, and respect for every individual's rights. Let's engage in conversations about our faith and political beliefs, always rooting ourselves in Scripture and seeking God’s guidance. 💭 What do you think? - Good morning, friends! 2/23/2026!
Here in Texas County, Missouri, we’re starting off with a chilly day filled with mainly sunny skies. The highs will reach the upper 30s, while we’ll dip down to the low 20s tonight. It’s a reminder that winter is still holding onto us a bit longer, but don’t worry - a warm-up is on the horizon!
You know you’re from Missouri when summer storms are the stuff of fond memories. There’s nothing quite like sitting on the porch, sipping your favorite drink, as the summer rain provides nature's symphony. Well, it may not feel like summer just yet, but who knows, we might catch some porch rain and warm breezes soon enough. Don’t forget to grab a warm blanket while you wait!
As I savor my morning cup of coffee, I take a moment with Abba, my Father, to reflect on Psalm 42:5:
“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.”
What an eye-opening verse! The psalmist doesn’t shy away from expressing feelings of despair, yet, amidst the storm within, he encourages us to re-focus on God’s light and hope. It’s a powerful reminder for all of us, especially when we face our own struggles. Whether you’re feeling downcast or just needing a little pick-me-up, remember that God is our Savior and sustainer. He’s always there to lift our spirits when we turn to Him.
But enough about the chill in the air and the warmth of our Heavenly Father—what makes today extra special besides Him and you? Drumroll, please… Today is National Tootsie Roll Day! A day to celebrate that delightful chocolate-flavored candy we all know and love. Can you believe Tootsie Rolls have been a beloved American treat for over 115 years? They were developed back in 1907 by Leo Hirshfield in Brooklyn, and they’re still rolling strong!
This day takes me back to 1994 when the catchy tune “Tootsee Roll” by the 69 Boyz danced its way into our hearts and hit number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100. Do any of you remember rocking out to that song? "Come on, come all (Tootsee Roll), just make that Tootsee Roll!" It certainly adds a fun twist to today’s celebration!
So, how do you plan to enjoy both the chilly morning and National Tootsie Roll Day? Maybe some hot cocoa paired with a Tootsie Roll? Or perhaps a joyful moment of praise with a favorite song?
Let’s share our plans for today, and don’t forget to take a moment amid the busyness to reflect on His goodness. May your day be filled with warmth and joy, sweet and savory, and a sprinkle of God’s grace on top!

In a world where the love for chocolate is almost as sacred as our faith, the grandson of the inventor of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups has made headlines with a bold statement against Hershey. In a recent LinkedIn post, he accused the candy giant of compromising quality by “cheaping out” on ingredients. Talk about stirring the pot!
As we all know, it’s not uncommon for manufacturers to cut corners these days—decreasing the quality of ingredients while simultaneously increasing prices. In late 2025, fans of Reese’s and other beloved Hershey products were hit with an 8% to 10% price increase. Some varieties even skyrocketed by a whopping 22%! The news left many chocoholics wondering, “Are we really getting less for more?”
Hershey has hinted at a troubling trend of reducing package sizes and altering recipes to include more non-chocolate components—all under the guise of rising cocoa prices. But something seems off. While cocoa prices surged in 2025, they dipped significantly in early 2026. Yet, retail prices remain high, leaving consumers scratching their heads.
As we look for answers, consider these recent headlines:
-Cocoa production has decreased by 400,000 tons- Codex
-The Great Cocoa Collapse continues, with prices hitting lows not seen since June 2023- Barchart
-Why cocoa prices are falling - Businessday
It begs the question: are consumers willing to pay for what seems to be corporate greed? With cocoa prices falling nearly 70% since last Valentine’s Day, why aren’t we seeing reduced prices for heart-shaped boxes or Easter bunnies?
This situation reminds us of Proverbs 20:17, “Food gained by fraud tastes sweet, but one ends up with a mouth full of gravel.” It’s a gentle nudge to reflect: are we really valuing quality and integrity in what we consume?
As Christians, we’re called to be good stewards, and that extends to our choices alongside our faith. So, in this battle of peanut butter and chocolate, let’s keep our eyes on what truly matters—honesty, quality, and faith in the process.

- News Report With a Christian perspective - Boeing's Historic Move Back to St. Louis: A Testament of Faith in Our Future
Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to chat with Erick Schmitt, our hardworking US State Senator for Missouri. He shared some exciting news with me about a meeting he had with Secretary of War Pete Hegseth in St. Louis. They discussed Boeing's significant decision to return its Defense and Space HQ to our great state! This is not just a company moving offices; it's a huge opportunity for all of us!
As Erick mentioned, St. Louis is the “beating heart of America's defense industrial base.” Our city is home to some of the most experienced mechanics, engineers, and technicians who are ready to build the next generation of powerful aircraft.
This move aligns perfectly with the Trump Administration's “peace through strength” agenda. What does this mean for us, Missourians? It means we are taking a vital role in keeping our military strong and ready! Imagine the economic boost and job creation that will come from this expansion!
The specifics are thrilling: Boeing is making a monumental $1.8 billion investment, and there’s even talk of a potential $20 billion contract for the next-generation fighter, the F-47. This is expected to create thousands of jobs and solidify Missouri's position as a leader in aerospace manufacturing. Already, we have over 18,000 employees in this sector, and this is just the beginning!
The return of the Defense, Space, & Security (BDS) headquarters from the D.C. area to St. Louis is more than just a geographical shift; it represents a significant strategic move for Boeing. Bringing key management closer to production will naturally lead to improved efficiency and innovation. This reinvestment in our community is a profound endorsement of our skilled workforce and the incredible potential of our region.
As we reflect on these developments, I am reminded of the scripture from Proverbs 16:3: "Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established." Let's commit our efforts to support our local economy and pray for the success of these projects. Together, we can make a meaningful impact in our community!
So, to everyone reading or hearing this, regardless of your political beliefs, this news is a big win for the St. Louis area and Missouri as a whole. Let’s come together to celebrate this landmark decision that has the potential to shape our future for generations to come. How do you feel about Boeing’s return? What are you most excited about in terms of job opportunities and community growth? - Rising Above: Embracing Challenges on the Journey to Success
Life is an unpredictable journey filled with twists, turns, and obstacles. Each of us encounters challenges that test our strength, faith, and resolve.
Yet, as believers, we are reminded that challenges are not merely inconveniences but opportunities for growth and refinement.
The apostle James encourages us in James 1:2-4 (NIV), stating, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
When faith produces perseverance in our hearts, minds, and souls it gives us:
Perspective in Trials: James advises viewing trials as opportunities for joy, not because the pain is pleasant, but because of the spiritual growth they produce.
Purposeful Suffering: Trials are described as tests of faith that create steadfastness and maturity, ultimately strengthening a person's character.
Endurance: The goal is to allow this process to run its course, resulting in spiritual completeness or being "perfect and complete, lacking in nothing".
Audience: The message is addressed to "brothers and sisters" (believers) facing varied hardships.
James 1:2-4 is a reminder that hardships are part of life but serve a higher purpose in developing character and faith for a child of God.Rising Above: Embracing Challenges on the Journey to Success Life is an unpredictable journey filled with twists, turns, and obstacles. - Dear Mr. President
Today, I was asked my thoughts about supporting the Iranian people:
"If President Trump takes action to support the Iranian people in getting freed from the terrorists who hijacked their country for many decades, he will seal his legacy as the Greatest U.S. President of All Time!
However, there seem to be many factors to consider before making this bold movement!
Thoughts???"
My thoughts are; It's encouraging to see such passion for supporting the Iranian people and advocating for their freedom. The thought of President Trump taking a decisive action can indeed spark hope for a brighter future. However, it's essential to approach this situation with caution and wisdom, as international relations are complex and can have far-reaching consequences.
If President Trump follows Biblical principles in this process they can serve as a guide for all his political actions such as:
1. Justice: The Bible emphasizes the importance of justice. In Isaiah 1:17, it encourages us to seek justice, defend the oppressed, and take up the cause of the fatherless and widow. This principle calls for advocacy for the marginalized and fairness in governance.
2. Love and Compassion: Matthew 22:39 mentions loving your neighbor as yourself. This principle encourages political actions that prioritize empathy, compassion, and the well-being of others.
3. Servant Leadership: Mark 10:42-45 highlights the importance of being a servant leader. Political leaders are encouraged to serve rather than to seek power for personal gain, fostering a spirit of humility and service.
4. Wisdom and Discernment: Proverbs 3:5-6 advises trusting in the Lord and seeking His guidance in all decisions. Political action should be rooted in prayer and reflection, seeking God's wisdom above all.
5. The Importance of Truth: Ephesians 4:25 encourages speaking the truth in love. Engaging in political discourse should be grounded in honesty and integrity, promoting transparency and sincerity.
6. Peace-Making: Matthew 5:9 emphasizes being peacemakers. Political actions should aim to foster peace rather than division, seeking reconciliation and understanding.
By considering these principles we can all as christians navigate the complexities of political action in a way that aligns with our values and faith.
Each of us as Christians are called to pray for our leaders and seek guidance in making decisions that align with God’s will. It’s important to consider the implications and potential risks involved, ensuring that any actions taken genuinely serve the well-being of those we wish to support.
