Psalm 119:114 says, “You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.” What a powerful declaration of trust in our God! This scripture invites us to see Him as both our shelter and our defender during uncertain times. It’s such an encouragement to know that when life gets tough, we can find comfort and guidance in His Word. His promises are our strength and shield against the storms of life—both literal and metaphorical.
And speaking of living long and thriving, today happens to be National Live Long and Prosper Day! This fun holiday comes from the world of “Star Trek,” thanks to the iconic Leonard Nimoy, who portrayed the beloved half-Vulcan, Mr. Spock. The phrase "Live Long and Prosper" reminds me of the importance of cherishing every moment and sharing blessings with those around us. From a faith perspective, it invites us to celebrate community and the bonds we share, much like the strong fellowship we have within our faith family.
